Really good sandwiches but a little expensive for the size and not having fries or chips!

I hadn't been inside since it was Martin's General Store. This place is hopping! You walk in and the 1950s music immediately transports you to simpler times. The smell of wood fired pizza smacks you in the face. Go to the right and to the right is the order counter. They have menus to peruse and homemade ice cream. There's a beverage cooler to choose from as well. They offer free water as well and teas. The young guy behind the counter was exuberant and friendly. He answered all my questions joyfully. I love it! The dining room is quaint and cozy. There's one very clean bathroom. To pick up a to-go order, you come back and watch the cooks work their magic. Pretty fun! Several other customers we're raving about the food. I saw multiple people get ice cream either in a dish or a pint to take home. I was tempted but I make my own so I didn't. It's also the new year and I'm trying to be good. Now I'm home and oh my word- These are the BEST wings since I went to Dandy Inn in Shiloh, IL back in 2004!!!!!! Huge, meaty, saucy and they fall off the bone. I'm in Heaven. Wow. Just wow! Support this small business- you won't be disappointed!

We wanted to try a new place for sushi and we are so glad we did. This place is so good, like I was…read moresurprised it wasn't packed. We started with the gyoza and the tempura calamari (comes with a wasabi mayo sauce). The udon soup is huge and so worth the price. The broth is fantastic, toppings are awesome, the tempura you get was perfectly fried and came out hot. And if you need to know about the sushi rolls definitely get them, so much more filling and quality then I have gotten at similar places around the area. Service is good, the people working there are always on top of making sure that you got what you needed and that your food came straight to you when it was give ln to them from the kitchen. Ambiance is good. The outside you can tell it used to be a Waffle House, but inside they have some amazing decorations. The bathrooms are super clean, and for the lil ones they have some stuff running on the tv they have. Spend your money here, you will for sure be leaving knowing it was money well spent. For sure they will continuously get my families business.

From the outside it looks like a converted Waffle House so my hopes for ambiance weren't super high but thankfully I was pleasantly surprised! Our table of 4 shared 6-7 sushi rolls, some apps and a bento box. The sushi rolls were all some of the best I've had in Atlanta. The freshness, the combination of flavors and the incredible variety were all exceptional. The service is pleasant but not over the top. I love Diet Coke and the fact they sell by the can is not my favorite option but I'll deal with it because the sushi is so good. The chicken katzu bento box was just average but everything else was really good.

Ball Ground near Cumming Roadside BBQ…read more We recently moved into the area and finally gave Amos BBQ a try. I picked up a variety to see what was good or good enough to return for. This is the kind of place you get take out. They have a drive thru plus patio and inside dining. It's a very cool very old building with a lot of character. I could see enjoying the patio on a perfect weather day. It's definitely gives the vibe of a country Roadside Cafe type place you come upon on long road trips. We tried.... 1 lb chopped beef (we won't buy it again) 2 Bbq pork sandwich (small but tasty) Coleslaw (very simple - very good) Fries (excellent! Fresh cut potatoes perfect crisp and salted to perfection) Fried pickles (huge hit with my Fried Pickle connoisseur - spears not chips served with Ranch however she said they are so good they don't need a dipping sauce) 3 orders Banana Pudding (I'm a fan!) Mac & Cheese BBQ sauce for $2.50 Kind of Pricy for the portions. The sides are very small - maybe 4 oz containers. Amex Total $69.18 They use an old style register. Itemized receipt just shows input price. I saw an extra charge of $2.55 error on their part. They also charge a credit card fee. Would we return? My daughter and I liked it enough to get take out in the future. My husband who knows bbq didn't care for it at all.

It's beautiful but doesn't have a round table which was what worked best for our event. I booked the Duchess of Bedford for my 17 year old daughter's birthday. She and 5 of her friends were guided to the Venetian and since we had a cancellation due to illness, I enjoyed a solo high tea in the Buckingham across the hall. The Grande has an extensive tea menu from black teas to herbal to rooibos. They light a delightful warmer at your table to keep your tea heated. The soup and salad came first. It was all absolutely delicious. Fresh pear adorned the mixed fields greens and the tomato soup had a dash of creme fraiche. Even the teens raved about them! The tower of finger sandwiches and desserts was also thoughtfully curated and delicious. The egg salad, pimento cheese and scones were so fresh! All of it was! The girls were able to each have their own tea pot and treats. In the Looking Glass room, they had a backdrop with props as well. It really was so lovely. Don't think about it- just go!
