**This review is for The Cafe at Scottsdale** I don't think I'm young or trendy enough for this Cafe when I'm left wondering if I'm in an episode of Portlandia. Choosing between one of eight items off the menu while waiting in the excessively long line and watching said items getting crossed off the board one by one put me back in my foodie youth days where waiting in line for food was a way of life. As a suburbanite on the go with kids these days, I need my food and I need it quick! The prices are definitely "boutique" and not your average soup and sandwich cafe fare. The organic, cruelty free, non-GMO, dye free, peace loving beverage options were somewhat limiting if you're looking for 'named brands'. But enough of my experience trying to function in public, let's talk food! The lemon bar was AMAZING. A must order with the tangy lemony goodness topped with toasted meringue that gave roasted marshmallow vibes. Chicken burrito was "nothing special" per my wordsmith spouse. The veggie packed Quiche was delicious and enormous. Not what I would typically expect but something of its own, like a pasta-less vegetable lasagne. And so filling, I could have shared (but let's be clear, I did not). The best part overall is the experience of getting to eat outside on a beautiful day surrounded by all the joys of a farm! I am a regular at Scottsdale Farm and took a friend yesterday that recently moved to the area. We tried out the cafe while we were there. What a fun experience. It was mid morning so we each sampled two baked goods. After receiving a box with cutlery and napkins we found a table. The food and beverage (her hot tea with honey) came out quickly. I really enjoyed the tea cake, which was a petit four and the lemon meringue bar. My friend also had a tea cake and the carrot cake muffin. We agreed everything was very tasty. The prices ranged from reasonable to slightly high and the quality of the products was excellent. They had a nice overall brunch menu along with coffees, teas and accompaniments for them. The Cafe at Scottsdale Farms. A wonderful addition to an already fabulous place to spend an entire day and entirely too much money. Staff is incredibly friendly and seem to enjoy working there. Tables and floors are kept clean, and displays are neatly arranged. Product options include a wide variety of fresh pastries and snacks, as well as a variety of specialty hot and cold drinks. I'm not sure if this cafe is still called Bella Luna, as it is now run by the talented chef Tyler Williams, but it is the cafe at Scottsdale Farms and we loved everything we ordered! It is a small, cozy cafe featuring a variety of toasts and other offerings. Chef Tyler puts together the most creative flavor combinations and I was delighted to see him running this place! We got several menu items, including the avocado toast, the salmon toast, dippy eggs, jammy eggs, and iced coffee. The toasts are nice and big, loaded with flavor. The avocado toast was our favorite, but Tyler also brought us granola bars topped with nut butter & peach slices and I haven't stopped thinking about them since. SO GOOD! They brew Valor coffee, so that was the perfect drink to go with all the fun food. Definitely stop by to see the updated cafe. I can't wait to go back! read more

The Bella Luna Café at Scottsdale Farms is now subcontracted with Tyler Williams who offers a minimalist menu, both in portion size and scope. Gone is the sandwich bar that offered a variety of choices, one of which was my favorite, The Milton. The only item I found appealing on the new café's menu was a turkey club for $16, which comes with chips or a choice of soup or salad for an extra charge. When my "sandwich" arrived, I was taken aback by its small size. There were two little stacks about three inches high by two inches square. Seriously, that was it! See the photos below with a can of diet Coke for size comparison. I ordered two, with an upcharge of $3.50 for a Barbie playhouse-sized "cup" of soup, which was about three ounces. The drink selection is limited with several weird choices and no Coke Zero, only diet Coke. To add insult to injury, I felt obligated to add an 18 percent tip that appears on the credit card scanner before you can finalize your purchase. The total bill was $51.56, which included a $7.38 tip for what was no service at all. I will never return to the Café as it is overpriced and undervalued for the small offering it is. Never have I been served a "sandwich" so small that was intended to be taken seriously. It is really insulting. I hope Tyler has a backup plan because there is no way this café is going to last with exorbitant prices and minuscule quantity. read more

The quiche was $11 for the smallest piece of quiche I had ever seen and it wasn't even that good. The sandwiches looked like a better deal portions wise. read more

What a beautiful place, and what a disaster of a cafe! It took them 45 minutes to produce a sandwich and a side salad. Maybe they had to send to Italy for the fresh mozzarella for the Sandwich? I don't know...and it could have used 4x as much basil as was included. One leaf on each half of a Caprese panini doesn't quite cut it. And the weak, weak, weak lemonade did not hit the spot either. The unfortunate thing was, after such a frustrating lunch, the last thing we wanted to do was wander through the gorgeous greenhouses or shop in the store. It will take some convincing to get me to go back. read more

The breakfast bagels are amazing. They get fresh eggs from their farm daily. After you have a bite to eat, you can check ou the great nursery there too. read more

There needs to be a little more oversight by an adult. The teenagers running the cafe are lost and not very efficient. Very pleasant and well intentioned but not a great or even good experience when it comes to ordering and receiving your food. read more

Although the prices are high and it's so hot in there in the summer, the food is good & fresh and the coffee is GREAT!
