Nice to have a new, fresh-casual taco option in the area. Order at the counter, they give you a number marker, find a table, mostly outdoor seating. We tried the pork, shrimp, beef and chicken tacos on house-made flour tortillas. Unique flavors, nice spice levels, shrimp probably my fav, pork just okay, others very good. Side of guacamole and chips and salsa, very good, freshly made, chips very rustic. Attentive servers checked in on us, even brought us some extra lime wedges (that would never happen at Chipotle). I was super excited to try Loqui, but sadly it was a bust for me. It was like a 2.5 star for me but rounding up to a 3. When you enter the store, it's like a weird globalist, sterile, minimalist vibe with no smell of food cooking which is a weird customer experience at a restaurant. We tried every meat taco and thought every single flavor was under salted and bland and the flour tortillas we received were hard and dry as hell. We did appreciate that the meats were on the leaner side vs dripping in grease so it seems like a place that might be "clean"/ macro tracking friendly if you're wanting a healthier Mexican food option. The prices are not justified at all. The flavors, portion, and brand experience are just not there to justify $7-8/ premium taco prices though unfortunately. If you love authentic Mexican food, you'll probably be disappointed. read more

Loqui has the most healthiest and delicious alternative for fast food I've recently tried. The service is always quick and delightful as they serve you under 5 minutes, and clean up for you which is high quality for such a spot! The ambiance is always clean and I love how modern it is. So so so amazing! The food is incredible and the staff is super nice. I got the the shrimp and chicken bowl. So great. But the thing that blew my mind was the Barbacoa I got on the side. That plus the great tortillas made my day. Can't recommend enough. Not gonna knock a star off for this but the parking to pick up your food is effing horrible. Otherwise I'd pick up lunch here weekly. Maybe it would be good to have a service where you run people's food out real quick? I dunno. read more

Great food but I can't help but feel like I'm getting skimped. For the price they charge for a bowl, they really should at least give you more beans and rice. I never complain and don't want this to sound like a complaint because the food is good. I want it to be constructive criticism that the chain hopefully takes into account. Those aren't expensive ingredients and it would definitely help fill the customer up more. I order 2 shrimp bowls which comes with 2 way too small side tortillas and ordee some chips and salsa and it comes out to $37. I'd be fine witn that price if they at least give you more rice and beans. That's a staple of Mexican food and neither of those ingredients are expensive. In comparison 2 bowls at Chipotle + chips, guac, 2 side tortillas, and queso comes out to $28 and its literally quadruple the food because Chipotle doesn't skimp on the rice and beans. All of their ingredients are non gmo and most are organic so the "organic" excuse for Loqui doesn't fly. All in all its probably 3/8 of the size of a meal at Chipotle. If you want to take hot sauce home with your meal for free (hot sauce/salsa should be free at a Mexican joint) they have these tiny little containers that hardly fill up enough for two bites. So you'll need about 8 or 10 containers if you like salsa/hot sauce or you have to pay for a bigger size... which is not very big. Go to any Mexican place in LA or California and hot sauce/salsa is almost always free and bottomless. They also have a delicious red hot sauce that I can't get enough of. I mean I literally can't get enough because i can't get a bigger container without having to pay extra for it. I wouldn't recommend the black hot sauce they have. It's supposed to be the spicy one but I don't find it much hotter than their red hot sauce and it has a weird soapy flavor to me. I like that they have shrimp. If you order the guac... prepare to be underwhelmed because not only is it not very good, but you get the tiniest amount. It literally tastes like avocado mashed up. No salt. No cilantro. No red onions. No chilies, and definitely no lime or lemon. All of traditional guacamole flavors are pretty undetectable. P.S. love the pickled red onions that come on the bowl but wish the bowl came with sour cream and maybe roasted peppers. Other than that, great food. It would be a 4 if the portions were fair. read more

I was so excited to try this spot and it is on par with the Arts District location. The food is very fresh, everything is delicious, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The spicy shrimp bowl and beef birria bowl were both amazing and very filling. We also got a chicken taco and side of guac and chips. The chicken is probably my favorite item to order here, the marinade is phenomenal! The guac and salsa are excellent as well. Glad to see another great spot added to Studio City! read more

Amazing food with great takeout. Recently ordered this when I had a group of friends over and their service even during takeout was excellent. It was my first time getting food from this new restaurant in Studio city. Food was very tasty, service was amazing. We do not like very spicy food, i called the restaurant and they offered a different option which was to get salsa on a side. Worked perfect for our taste. The chicken taco was a pure delight - a crackle of freshness in the greens on top of a swirl of warm flavor of seasoned chicken, all tucked into in a velvety flour tortilla. Such a hidden gem in Studio City! This small, cute Mexican restaurant instantly became one of my new favorites. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, with a super cute indoor-outdoor patio that's perfect for any time of day. The food menu has a nice variety of options perfect whether you're craving something classic or trying something new--and the drink menu is *so* good (definitely try the margaritas )! What really made the experience stand out was the amazing customer service from Shayne at the front desk he was so kind, warm, and genuinely helpful he gave us all the best recommendations, especially if you're visiting for the first time. The food is good, not great but good. The red salsa was amazing! The prices were a little too high but nonetheless food was still good. My only Complain was that when I asked for a straw they said " we don't have any" I'm sorry but it is 2025 paper straws exist, I understand eco friendly but there are alternatives, they did suggest a sippy cup lid but no my preference. Place looks good from reviews. Unfortunately, we could not order. Stood at the register for 10 minutes and no one came out from the back to take our order. The strange things is we heard voices in the back. I even loudly called out to alert them to our presence several times. All to no avail. Granted they open at 11am and we arrived at 11:10am. We ordered the Rrey light lager and they brought it out in a frosty glass mug. The folks behind the counter were very kind, service was quick, and the restaurant was spotless.
