We stopped in here for the first time the other day. Seems they just opened a month or so ago. Have to say, the flavors of the food were nothing short of fantastic! We ordered 3 different tacos on their signature flour tortillas (beef, chicken, shrimp) to test it all out and one of their hibiscus frescas. All the tacos had distinct flavors and were delicious. For those of you who aren't fans of spicy food or are sensitive to it, this may not be your place but I'm sure they could offer selections for the spice-adverse. The place is small but definitely mighty. They have a nice outdoor sitting area and parking is in the same complex as Trader Joe's and Sephora. The people were incredibly nice and offer some good feedback on what they offer. The atmosphere fits with the food. Definitely a fan! We'll be back again this week! read more

Went in wanting a burrito, but my initial disappointment was long forgotten because the chicken achiote burrito bowl was so well done. The flour tortillas that you get on the side are made in house and are the perfect texture and pairing with the bowl. The pickled topping, fresh guac and beans were all very flavorful. I have tried Loqui twice now and I enjoyed both experience. We got the chips and salsa, chips and guac, chicken taco, and beef birria taco. Chips were so crunchy and fresh, salsa is also made so fresh, guac was amazing -- they give a good amount. We ran out of chips first than the salsa and guac (they are very generous with their portions). The chicken tacos had guac and picked onions in there. Chicken was very juicy and they did not skimp on the protein. Tacos are not the regular small size. They are a good size. The birria taco had melted cheese inside, does not skimp on the beef as well, onions, cilantro with lime on top. Tacos are not the usual pricing - $6-7 but portions are also big. They have options of dlour or corn tortilla as well. Everytime we come here, they make it so fresh. Their menu is small but they perfected their food. I have not yet to try the bowls but I can't wait to go back to try it. The store gives very minimalistic vibe but very clean. Just like their food, minimalistic but perfect. Service is always nice and friendly. We asked the cashier what their most popular items were and they said it was the chicken, beef, and shrimp. They answered our questions so nicely all the time. I really hate that I have to give a bad review of this place. Our food was not good. I ordered the Anchiote Chicken bowls for my parents. They very seldom complain about their food, but this time they were not happy and it was too late for me to return. The bowls were very dry, and the rice was sticking together. Came here last night with my boyfriend on our way back to OC. Cashier was very nice and attentive and we both got the spicy shrimp bowl. The ambiance was absolutely everything and was really cute. My family absolutely LOVES Loqui! My favorite are the Shrimp Tacos. Just spicy enough, loaded with plump shrimp, perfectly balanced flavor wise. My son and husband love those and the chicken. The birria is a meal in itself. Great Aqua Frescas and margaritas. The people who work here are really lovely. Friendly, helpful, kind. This is quickly becoming our go to place for tacos!! I was super excited to try Loqui, but sadly it was a bust for me. It was like a 2.5 star for me but rounding up to a 3. When you enter the store, it's like a weird globalist, sterile, minimalist vibe with no smell of food cooking which is a weird customer experience at a restaurant. We tried every meat taco and thought every single flavor was under salted and bland and the flour tortillas we received were hard and dry as hell. We did appreciate that the meats were on the leaner side vs dripping in grease so it seems like a place that might be "clean"/ macro tracking friendly if you're wanting a healthier Mexican food option. The prices are not justified at all. The flavors, portion, and brand experience are just not there to justify $7-8/ premium taco prices though unfortunately. We had dinner here this past week and it was excellent! I ordered two tacos because some reviews said they were small. I don't know if it was because I got flour tortillas, but they were HUGE!! I had the mushroom and the achiote chicken. I loved them both. My husband had the achiote chicken bowl which was also generous in size. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Everything tasted clean and fresh. The food was a little slow to come out because they were working on a large order so they comped us chips and guac. Wow, really good guac. So so so amazing! The food is incredible and the staff is super nice. I got the the shrimp and chicken bowl. So great. But the thing that blew my mind was the Barbacoa I got on the side. That plus the great tortillas made my day. Can't recommend enough. Not gonna knock a star off for this but the parking to pick up your food is effing horrible. Great food but I can't help but feel like I'm getting skimped. For the price they charge for a bowl, they really should at least give you more beans and rice. I never complain and don't want this to sound like a complaint because the food is good. I want it to be constructive criticism that the chain hopefully takes into account. Those aren't expensive ingredients and it would definitely help fill the customer up more. I order 2 shrimp bowls which comes with 2 way too small side tortillas and ordee some chips and salsa and it comes out to $37. I'd be fine witn that price if they at least give you more rice and beans. That's a staple of Mexican food and neither of those ingredients are expensive. In comparison 2 bowls at Chipotle + chips, guac, 2 side tortillas, and queso comes out to $28 and its literally quadruple the food because Chipotle doesn't skimp on the rice and beans. All of their ingredients are non gmo and most are organic so the "organic" excuse for Loqui doesn't fly. All in all its probably 3/8 of the size of a meal at Chipotle. If you want to take hot sauce home with your meal for free (hot sauce/salsa should be free at a Mexican joint) they have these tiny little containers that hardly fill up enough for two bites. So you'll need about 8 or 10 containers if you like salsa/hot sauce or you have to pay for a bigger size... which is not very big. Go to any Mexican place in LA or California and hot sauce/salsa is almost always free and bottomless. They also have a delicious red hot sauce that I can't get enough of. I mean I literally can't get enough because i can't get a bigger container without having to pay extra for it. I wouldn't recommend the black hot sauce they have. It's supposed to be the spicy one but I don't find it much hotter than their red hot sauce and it has a weird soapy flavor to me. I like that they have shrimp. If you order the guac... prepare to be underwhelmed because not only is it not very good, but you get the tiniest amount. It literally tastes like avocado mashed up. No salt. No cilantro. No red onions. No chilies, and definitely no lime or lemon. All of traditional guacamole flavors are pretty undetectable. P.S. love the pickled red onions that come on the bowl but wish the bowl came with sour cream and maybe roasted peppers. Other than that, great food. It would be a 4 if the portions were fair. read more

I was so excited to try this spot and it is on par with the Arts District location. The food is very fresh, everything is delicious, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The spicy shrimp bowl and beef birria bowl were both amazing and very filling. We also got a chicken taco and side of guac and chips. Such a hidden gem in Studio City! This small, cute Mexican restaurant instantly became one of my new favorites. My only Complain was that when I asked for a straw they said " we don't have any" I'm sorry but it is 2025 paper straws exist, I understand eco friendly but there are alternatives, they did suggest a sippy cup lid but no my preference. Place looks good from reviews. Unfortunately, we could not order. Stood at the register for 10 minutes and no one came out from the back to take our order. The strange things is we heard voices in the back. I even loudly called out to alert them to our presence several times. All to no avail. Granted they open at 11am and we arrived at 11:10am.
