Wow! This place had amazing food! Greater than our expectations! Nice staff good music. Parking in street

Delivery only! Ordered the taco box and was so pleasantly surprised. Everything was packaged individually and came in one sturdy box- quality! Beef was a shredded beef with so much flavor but wasn't spicy which was a huge plus for our family. Salsa was really delicious as well as the rice and guacamole. Absolutely will order again read more

Was ok.... Ordered 4 pork tacos, 4 chicken tacos + chicken bowl + 4 beers, total was $108. - chicken tacos were good - pork tacos were ok, shredded style. 1 taco had almost no meat - bowl: rice was stuck together and hard It came out pretty fast which makes me think they pre-make the food. The meat was barely warm and the rice was stiff and stuck together like it was old, not my favorite. Facility was cute with some of door seating. Took me a second to find it, its tucked away in a knook. People were nice. read more

Interesting interior and patio layout. It both looks big, yet doesn't fit that many people. Parking can be a nightmare in this area, but it's a walkable neighborhood, so I didn't mind parking a few blocks away. Prices are okay. Portion sizes are slightly large. Staff are friendly, but this place is more of a takeout place, so there wasn't a lot of service when I was here. Food tasted great. I would come here again with some friends or just by myself. They have beer. It's an okay date spot, but there are better places in the area for that. read more

First time at Loqui - Good thing there's a sign or I would've walked past the restaurant. Service was quick! We got three tacos (~$7 each): Birria, shrimp, and chicken on flour tortilla. I liked the chicken best bc the guac and red onions really balanced out the smoky marinaded chicken. I barely ate the birria bc it tasted too beany for me. Tortilla was delicious! read more

7/10 Got the spicy garlic shrimp bowl. All the ingredients tasted nice and fresh. Shrimp had great flavor and the rice was a tiny bit dry, but the main thing missing for me was some kind of sauce. They had salsa which helped a lot, but I do think the bowl should already come with some type of sauce. Still a great bowl regardless tho read more

Nice casual spot for Mexican food offering bowls, tacos, and some sides. Decent amount of seating both indoors and outdoors so you can bring your dog! Overall, thought my food tasted good and the bowl was large enough that it lasted me for another meal, so the price seemed reasonable for how much food I got. The cantaloupe agua fresca was very refreshing and a perfect pairing for the meal. read more

This is definitely not your typical Mexican taco place. It's a LA priced for sure. It's a rather cute place to sit and eat with friends but because it was so late, we had to order takeout. Upon opening our boxes we were a little disappointed to see the boxes weren't labeled to note which tacos were in each box. We had to dig around to see which ones didn't have cilantro, the special requests, etc. This is nit picky, but for the price point, labels really would have been nice to have been utilized. The boxes had labels, but nothing was checked... I liked the pork and the beef flour tacos. Both were dry but had a lot of fillings and seasonings (borderline too salty). The garlic shrimp is spicy (and they really mean it). Overall a decent, boujee-ish taco place that I'd come back to experience the vibes. Btw, two tacos was actually filling due to their size. read more

I've been here twice now, and been impressed each time! I dream of this place in my sleep! Parking is super easy, I just park in the Whole Foods garage and walk over! There's always seating available, it doesn't get too busy. And food is always fresh! I always get their chips and guacamole! They give a good amount of guac and the guac is always such a fresh bright green! Taste super delicious too! This time around I ordered a garlic shrimp bowl! The price is fair and they give a good amount of shrimp! It's again, very fresh and delicious! The presentation is always beautiful as well! My friend ordered the tacos and enjoyed hers as well. I truly feel like you can't go wrong with any of their menu items! Can't wait to come back! read more

Ordered UberEATS and was hesitant to pay $8+/taco but after reading all the great reviews, I had high expectations! Unfortunately, I felt like I got overpriced tacos and the tacos were very underwhelming. There are a variety of bowls and tacos and pricing is pricey. Expect to pay $8+/taco and $16-$17/bowl. There are 6 different kinds of tacos to choose from - chicken, mushroom, pork, Chile, spicy garlic shrimp, and beef birria. Ordered 3 different kinds - chicken, shrimp, and beef birria. - Chicken ($7.69) was pretty decent. The chicken was tender and flavorful. It came with smokey habanero salsa so it was extremely spicy! Got it with flour tortilla (+$0.50) and it was just ok. This was 7/10 - Spicy Shrimp ($7.91) was extremely spicy! It came with a lot of shrimp and the shrimp was pretty big! The salsa was quite spicy so I won't recommend getting it you can't handle spicy well! This was 7/10 - Beef Birria ($7.91) was just ok. It came with an Anaheim Chile so I was expecting it to be super spicy but surprisingly, it wasn't spicy at all. It came with a generous amount of shredded beef and beans. This was 7/10 Overall, I was pretty disappointed with the tacos. Definitely not the best tacos I've ever had and it seemed like "Americanized Mexican" tacos. read more

Tbh, I'm obsessed. The shrimp is delicious. The mushrooms are delicious(and mushrooms are veryyyy hit or miss for me.) The salsa is delicious. The beans are delicious. The rice is delicious(carb conscious option to switch for cabbage is also great.) The tortillas and tortilla chips are delicious. Everything tastes fresh. The price is very fair for the portion and quality of ingredients. The only thing I can say is the parking sucks, but other than that, this is a great place to have a fairly priced fresh, balanced, and delicious meal! read more

Solid fast casual spot that is open during a random weekday afternoon. Perfect for early happy hour or linner. The table seating outside is very nice, with some shade. Accidentally stumbled upon this gem and we were glad we did. First, the service was great. They quickly took our order and answered any questions we had. We enjoyed the outside sitting area, but the inside sitting area was inviting as well. Definitely recommend and will be back. read more

My first time buying Loqui even though I've been in Arts District for 6 years! It's definitely an elevated Chipotle not only by price but also by flavor! The Spicy Shrimp bowl is my fave! Don't forget to get the red achiote sauce- such an amazing sauce. This establishment is right under La Cha Cha and Wurstkuche. Parking is not the best, but if you do find some parking it's a really nice area to eat there. Food was delivered to our table relatively quickly and the associates were nice. I've gone twice now in two weeks this is addicting!! read more

A friend recommended I check this restaurant out for lunch so I did. It's located in the heart of the Art District and parking sucks per usual. The restaurant is small and clean with a cute vintage water fountain for self service. I personally don't like that there isn't a menu on the wall. There's one menu on green paper on a stand on a counter away from the cashier. I decided to order the Birria bowl which comes with whole pinto beans, steamed rice, guacamole and pickled onions. The concept is very much like Chipotle minus the items not being visible when you order. For my taste, the Birria lacked flavor and there wasn't much consome in the bowl so it seemed a little dry. It wasn't horrible, it was different from what I'm used to. I may come back one day to try other items and I'd encourage you to check them out. I think this restaurant has potential and it's pretty healthy. read more

Get the shrimp tacos. That is the star plate here. All the other tacos are amazing as well and made to absolute perfection. You will appreciate all the detail put into every dish here. If I'm ordering tacos I usually order a bowl of their rice (delicious) with a side of their chicken and beans. I'll also order a side of their chips with the fresh salsa. Their salsa is has its own flavor profile that is unique, isn't too Americanized and you can still taste the craft and culture put into it. Lastly, I'm not a guac person by any means and have hated it for the majority of my life until I found the guac at this place. Omg it is AMAZING! I love this place. I was obsessed with it once and ordered it 1-2 times every week. Will definitely be ordering from here again soon. read more

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Like a fancy Chipotle. My friend and I were looking for a quick and relatively inexpensive lunch option in the area and decided to check this place out. It's fast-casual; you order at the counter and they bring out the food to you. We grabbed a couple of seats in their pleasant front patio, glad that we'd missed the lunch rush. I got their mushroom and shrimp tacos, which I thought were really great--delicious, and decently portioned for the price. Their rice and beans were just ok, but they did sit around for a while because the server forgot about them. Accompanied by a michelada and an order of chips and guac, it wasn't a cheap lunch, but overall a decent value for the area, and the service was friendly. I'd come back. read more

Came by for some lunch, I was able to get some street parking still had to pay though. We all ordered the spicy shrimp bowl which wasn't too spicy (speaking as someone who is not good with spice) it had a great flavor. I personally got corn tortillas and made my own tacos. My friends got the flour tortillas and chips. They also have a water machine for you to self serve. Pricing was all right, and size wasn't too bad. It was $17 for the bowl. Overall the ambience was pretty nice, but the music was pretty loud and had interesting genre choice. Overall not too bad and it was not busy at the time (Wednesday at ~12:30) read more

Will definitely come back to this place. Loqui is a hidden little spot in the Arts District. You walk in and feel a quiet ambient vibe as peppers hang off the wall. There's also open patio area with extended seating. Ordered a achiote chicken bowl (as recommended by the cashier), a spicy shrimp taco on corn, and a beef birria taco on corn. Food came out pretty fast. Personally, the highlight of the show for me was the spicy garlic shrimp taco. Extremely flavorful with each bite. The beef birria taco was also pretty good. Pretty greasy but that was to be expected. The chicken bowl definitely was the most bland; I was surprised that was the most popular according to the cashier. Highlight of the bowl was the guacamole and the pickled onions. Overall recommend the place for the tacos specifically. A little bit pricey but solid. read more

Exceptionally friendly and quick staff. I ordered three tacos with flour tortillas: the beef birria, the Anaheim chile, and the shrimp taco. The beef birria was delicious, with very tender meat, and the Anaheim chile taco, my favorite, was rich in flavor with just the right amount of spice. Unfortunately, the shrimp taco was a bit underwhelming, and I wouldn't order it again. The guacamole and chips I had as an appetizer were fresh and delightful. I will definitely be returning to try their bowls. I definitely recommend the Anaheim chile taco! Super yummy. read more

Amazing tacos. My favorite was the shrimp taco on a flour tortilla. Birria taco was good, especially that they add a non-spicy pepper. Good place to go after lunch hours, and a good place to go eat something light. My only complaints are, I asked for the salsa on the side, so everything was a little spicy, and their rice was undercooked. Guacamole, beans and chips were yummy. I had their cantaloupe, Agua Fresca, and it was really good. Definitely a place I will go back to. There were seven of us, and everyone enjoyed everything they ordered, again. The only complaint was that the rice was undercooked. read more

I came here for the Fallout promotion and I have to say, what a deal! 33 cents for a taco?! And a really tasty one at that. Parking was easy, service was fast. This place is a little tucked away down an alley but I love the patio. It's feels like open, upscale modern Mexican but not fancy, very simplistic. The regular taco prices are a bit much but when you get one for 33 cents we thought it was a deal to order more. Since this is near my gym, I would come back. But be weary, in the hotter months the patio is only half shaded and those metal stools heat up fast. It's also dog friendly and they have a few vegetarian options but I'd love to see more! read more
