It was one of the first things I planned to replace. But after one cleaning, CCG completely brought it back to life and it looks brand new. I have two big dogs, so I have them come about every nine months and they consistently do the wall-to-wall carpet in my basement and the stairs up to the first floor as well as my couch. And the couch is done cushion by cushion and pillow by pillow. Both the carpet and the couch always look brand new after they leave. Sporadically, I have also hired them to clean other pieces of furniture that I don't use that often - to an amazing end. And recently, they started doing my custom runner up the stairs from my first to second floor. I was a little nervous about it at first as it has custom canvas trim - but again - looks fabulous. Can't recommend them enough. I have been lucky enough to have Zach and Valodia do my service that past few times and they are always on time, pleasant, professional, and really good at what they do.

I like that he suggested painting the entire kitchen ceiling and not just a section to keep a uniform look. Two men came for the estimate but one man came out for the job which was fine, he did a decent job by himself. Price was fair to boot. However, there was a slight issue. The contractor caused some very light damage to my 75 year-old hardwood floors that have been resurfaced. I did not see it initially because it was late when he finished and the light didn't catch it. I called him the next day to let him know my floor had been damaged and he came by later to view. After a little talking back and forth(not arguing, totally professional) he agreed to give me some of my money back. I had mentioned doing some work on another painting project and he said he'd give me a discount that project. While he did give me my money back, he was not enthusiastic the 2nd time around about the 2nd project. For example, he gave me an initial estimate but when I sent follow ups with questions he said he'd get back and ultimately didn't. This wasn't the case at first. Coincidence? Perhaps it was. Still I can't say that I'd hire this company again. The work was acceptable but ghosting me on the potential 2nd project(especially since you offered a monetary credit due to you damaging my floors) was/is not.

He is sincere, honest and truly cares about your needs. He lets you know if there is a delay or a problem. I felt that I was in good hands. He told me all I needed for the floor. As soon as there was a little dust or mess there he was with his broom and vacuum. I love my floor. I did not even have to get use to it. My old floor was dark and this one was quite lighter. I do not expect to have any problems now. If I do I have confidence that Charles and his crew would be right here. Carpeting will be done soon. My plan is to go with Charles again. If you need tile work done right, Francisco is your guy. We just finished a full kitchen renovation…read morein our 1925 condo and Francisco handled all the tile -- a beveled subway tile backsplash and a penny round floor with a black penny border. Both turned out absolutely beautiful. What stood out to us was his precision. The penny round floor with the border detail is not easy work, and the lines are crisp and perfectly laid throughout. The backsplash is clean and even, with grout lines that are consistent everywhere you look. He clearly takes pride in the craft and doesn't cut corners. He was also professional, tidy, and respectful of our home the whole time he was here -- no small thing during a big renovation. He showed up when he said he would and kept the workspace clean. We couldn't be happier with the result and wouldn't hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to anyone. Thank you, Francisco!

It took some time and patience, but after quite a bit of back and forth, we reached a satisfactory resolution, and our floors now look great. Stay calm and kind. Most of the people you speak with are not decision-makers; they relay your issues to those who are. If you treat them kindly, they will "fight" for you and prioritize you as a customer. If you're not satisfied, ask to speak with managers and have all your information and proper documentation ready. Again, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to remain calm and kind. You can achieve a reasonable resolution. Don't give up and they will make things right.

The salesman did not notice that there was tile below the current floor or even think it might be an asbestos floor. I know he saw the floor because I watched him. When the installer showed up, he said he could not install because of the asbestos. I had it remediated and the installer came back. He put in the new floor but refused to move the furniture into the rooms or re-install the closet doors. He said they did not tell him he had to do this so he did not have a crew with him to do it. His supervisor promised another appointment in a few days to move everything back. I began calling Empire a day or so later to confirm the appointment and was told there was not one. Each call I made to them told me something different. Finally they told me that they would not move furniture into a room that they did not take it out of or re-install doors that they did not take down. My contract was clear that they move furniture in and out. There was one larger dresser that we could not get into the room and had to hire some moving guys to do that and of course, to pay for that. Empire has offered me a credit of $140 which is just a token to me. The salesman, the installer, the people on the phone, the supervisor, they all had a different story for the issues we were having. Hence, I would not recommend this company. And if you use them, not only get it in writing but record your phone calls (totally illegal) but I wish that I had.
