I used DHL courier to ship a package from the states because the item was time sensitive. DHL is connected to Loomis and it was they that handled the final stage. When I shipped I was quoted 3/5 days. Two days later I received notification it was going to be 13 days. They missed the delivery day and then sent a notification that it would be delivered the next day. At this point the item had been sitting in the delivery depot for five days. When the delivery did not materialize I phoned only to find out it was being held for pick up due to import fees. No notification of any kind, no instructions on where to pick up. Customer service rep just gave me a number to call which despite two long waits I have been unable to talk to anybody. My package is somewhere, I don't know where. Phone communication has been unsuccessful, as has online chat. From this point there is no doubt that when given a choice I will choose the postal service because at least they don't pretend to offer a premium service and they are much cheaper. DHL/LOOMiS- it'll get there when it gets there. Probably. Follow up, I did finally find someone who could give me information on picking up my package and when I went to the Castlegar depot the person who helped me couldn't have been nicer. Still, 20 days on what was supposed to be three and no communication, very unsatisfied read more

Terrible service, took 8 days to get a package from Calgary which is only 5 hrs away. Would recomend any other shipping company over this one. 2-3 day shipping is non existent. Zero online support don't have 3 hrs to wait on hold. Mike K read more

Her excuse was "it's not my job" !!! So find another company to ship your goods to this area. Another bad review for these guys. Incompetent, excuses for everything. Important machine part that we needed for our business - for us to do our job, sat for 5 days with no contact from them. I had to chase it up and it completely screwed up our ability to do this job. It cost my hundreds of dollars to reschedule our project. read more

They worked well for me. When the computer system could not track a parcel, I phoned them up with the info and they got back to me right away with the location and reason for not finding it right away. read more

The DHL/Loomis out of Castlegar is the worst I have ever dealt with. They never came to my house to deliver my parcel and I had to track it down to their warehouse myself. The hours of operation are truly insane. When I finally picked up my package, I was shocked to find that it was was opened and rumaged through and it was not done so by customs. You could see it was done on purpose... But why? The woman/owner(?) Simply shrugged. Nothing missing. No apology. No explanation. Nothing. This is nothing new. EVERY TIME WE DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY IT'S THE SAME THING. THEY NEVER DELIVER THE GOODS AND THERE'S ALWAYS A PROBLEM. read more

Second time I've had something delivered from State side. First time, I had to prove I paid the duty at the border with my credit card. They should already have that info so they can leave the parcel. Second time, I wasn't home, so they didn't leave my parcel because the COD charge wasn't paid. I paid it upon requested, by credit card at the border. Now I have to drive to Castlegar to get my parcel... these guys are absolutely no good. It pisses me off to see that others are also having a problem with our local Loomis delivery system. read more

Loomis are simply the most useless courier in Canada, especially the Castlegar depot. Only pickup until 9am and then closed. So unreliable and just simply arrogant when you want info. As a business in Rossland we have instructed our supplier to use another courier. If minus one star was available I would have chosen that! We are in BC Canada read more

I live in Trail, British Columbia Loomis made the first attempt to deliver package, but my shop was closed. The next day there was someone at my shop right on time. Loomis didn't attempt to come in they just posted another delivery notification. The third attempt they left a phone number which doesn't give me any option to leave a message or talk to someone in person.. line keeps on beeping. It seems Loomis is cloaked, you cant call them or go to a physical address. This has been going on for 3-4 weeks now and my package still hasn't been delivered. I absolutely think Loomis is the worst shipping company especially for small to mid size businesses. Stick with Purolator for the best service. read more

Worst service ever the driver was too lazy to pick up or drop off any of my time sensitive packages at my door. I would not recommend this company to any one. read more

Loomis out of Castlegar is the worst and unfortunately they are the local courier for DHL. DHL indicates no signature required but Loomis will not leave the package even though they have delivered to the address many times before as it is in a secure place. Regardless, they do not return with the package when they say that they will. Very poor service as this has happened more than one time with this courier and I will be letting DHL know that they should find a better courier to represent them in this area. Whenever something is to arrive by this carrier, I roll my eyeballs and wait patiently, but ultimately have to call them to see what is up. Service SUCKS. I give it a ZERO read more

didn't even attempt a deliver. just called and left a message that told me to come pick the package up in Castlegar. drove 20min to castlegar, pickup depot could not be in a more obtuse location. hours of operation: 4AM-9AM, 3PM-6PM *facepalm*. seriously! WTF, get out of business Loomis! read more

Worst experience ever! Ordered something on Walmart and it said it'll be here by Aug. 21. Aug 29 rolls around and it still has not arrived. Tracking said it has arrived at the facility so basically sitting there for a long time and nobody delivered it. I called Loomis several times and gave my buzzer number. they said it will be in transit today. Waited all day on a weekday so I didn't miss it only to get a call at 3pm saying that the driver didn't have my buzzer number (even though I gave it to them already) so the driver didn't come. Wtf no call prior but wasted my whole day waiting. Called Walmart to complain but they said that they'll escalate it to the transportation team. Terrible service! Now I have to go to the depot to pick it up because the driver didn't even try to driver it. Not even a first attempt! Never will I ship with my purchases at Walmart. I would rather ship to the Canada Post option. Maybe that's why Walmart offered that option because they know Loomis is terrible but they have an existing contract with them. Terrible. read more

I placed an order with Merrell.ca on October 2/17. It was delivered by CanPar to Loomis in Castlegar on Oct.12/17 at 5:33 in the morning. On Oct.13 at 6:15 am it was with the courier(Loomis), never arrived to my home in Nelson that day. On Oct.17/17 the item was with the courier(Loomis) at 8:35 am and again no package from Merrell. Now again today Oct.18/17 at 6:06 am the package is with the courier(Loomis) again not delivered. I have made numerous calls to Loomis where they say they will call me back...still waiting. I am tired of the BS and am ready to get my money back from Merrell, who are less than helpful and no call back from them either. These people should be embarrassed to consider even attempting customer service or operating a business....I agree with another unhappy customer ...WTF? read more
