Sadly, we got a message that they changed us to inside due to possible rain. I understand, but it didn't end up raining and the outside area looked incredible. I added a photo. Oh well. That was the only real bummer. The service was amazing - pacing out all of the small plate dishes in a sensible fashion. We ordered 7 different things, and one extra arrived that we didn't order. Every item was fresh and flavorful. We definitely will come back - though not all the time as that is cost prohibitive. While it definitely is on the pricey side, we are very happy to have dined here tonight.

I loved the seafood fideo it was great. Overall it was a great experience that I do recommend.

We were nicely greeted and sat at the bar. We checked out…read morethe cocktail menu and knew that this was the right voice for dinner. We ordered the Last Sunrise in Tuscany and the 59 Barrera and Son. Both were absolutely delicious. We watched the bartender make the Last Sunrise in Tuscany and we had to ask about it. They make this with a house made syrup which isn't too far fetched for this restaurant. They try to make everything from scratch and it really shows in their offering. We were so hungry we had to order a couple things to share. But before we ordered we asked the bartenders (absolutely amazing) about what to order. Now when I say they gave the most elaborate explanation I could almost taste these dishes she was explaining them so well. She knows food and she knows good food. So we went with her recommendations based on what we were going for. We ordered the Duck, the Ravioli and the Rigatoni. When I'm telling you everything was perfect, it was PEFECT! The cook on everything, the favors that danced in my mouth. The filling of it all. I cannot wait to come back to try the rest of this menu. As dinner was winding down, I asked Kennedy to choose my last cocktail. She presented me with the most delightful white sangria and I was wowed by the flavor and lightness of it all. We then ordered a few lattes to go and we were talking about that dinner and restaurant for the rest of the week. Shea and Kennedy were absolutely amazing!

The bacon scone was absolutely outstanding, however you have to ask for butter for this, which is a must, but that was the only thing for a $325 brunch bill for 4 people. The entrees were cold when we received them, and one took so long to get that it was actually comped by the restaurant. The steak and egg benny was okay. The egg was overcooked and only jammy and not runny, and the croissant which had the steak on it was super oily and gross. There is a reason why a biscuit or english muffin is used in this dish, so whoever decided a croissant was a good idea is not smart, or eating the current weekend chef's food. The potato frites super greasy and oily as well as cold. Draining them on a paper towel would have been clutch. We had other entrees that no one finished because of the quality and taste of the food. It would have been helpful if the kitchen staff put the food under a salamander or heat light. If they have one of these, it certainly wasn't working that day in proper order. This is not a place I would ever go to brunch again. Maybe I would try dinner have one of their cheaper dinners as the $34 benny was overpriced and underperforming. I am giving this place three stars rather than one because the service was great unlike the food.

We had 2 couples and they customized the menu for us based on our likes and dislikes. We got 5 courses starting with appetizers, followed by pasta (which I forgot to get photos of), then sides, entrees and dessert. Plus a little aperitif to start the meal off. Zero complaints about any of the dishes. My favorite dish was probably the artichokes and the steak. So delicious! The atmosphere at the restaurant was very fun and modern. And our server was very knowledgeable and helpful when we had questions about the dishes. If you want an even more elevated experience, they have a sommelier that will come to your table and assist with picking wine to pair with your meal.

The meal continually went downhill from the first appetizers to the end. Started to go downhill when we had to pastas as a third course. They both tasted the same and were extremely salty. This was followed up by the smallest saddest toughest steak that I've ever seen in my life. Was extremely disappointed at this point in the menu. The dessert tasted worse than disappointment. We saw everyone by us getting pistachio ice cream other dessert that looked great. We got peach tomato ice cream, with a dry dusty cake that tasted like powder. Great service from the waitress though. Very knowledgeable and attentive so we still gave her a good tip. I think that the chef's tasting menu is just an angle to overcharge you for mediocre homemade Italian food. It's under the guys of they ask you questions to cater to you and the taste of the people at your table. The questions are so general and ambiguous. It doesn't really hone in on what your actual taste are. Haven't left a restaurant feeling like I've been robbed and wasted my money in a while. The main course made White Castle looks like a Michelin 2 Starr restaurant. Won't go back and would not recommend. To cap off the evening we took that weird raw steak thing that they gave us is our main course home in a doggy bag for our dogs. Our dogs usually go nuts about any meat whether it's lunchmeat, grilled ribs, or even the fat trimmed from the edge of the steak. This meat was so weird and bad that two of our dogs took it from her hand, went around the corner and poked at it and sniffed at it before trying to eat it. One of the two dogs spit it out and the other one left it. I've had steaks and beef at hundreds of restaurants over the years and can always identify what it is by how the piece of meat looks and how it is prepared. This was like mystery meat, very, very, very disappointed and feel robbed.

Even on a Monday night at 8:00pm, they were busy, which I think says a lot. The menu is small but intentional. Their staples are staples for a reason, and the servers are so personable that talking with them almost feels like running into an old friend. We each ordered a drink, the Brussels (always, we don't care what we get for a main), and shared the burger and campanelle. You're probably never going to be blown away by a burger, but you know a good burger from a bad one. This was a GOOD burger. The campanelle though... we could not stop talking about it. Genuinely addicting and easily the standout of the night. So happy this place exists in Detroit. We'll keep coming back.

We arrived on this misty evening around 8pm, into the dim, candlelit space with upbeat music playing. We were asked promptly if we had a reservation-- did not, so we were promptly seated at the counter, across from the bar-- which was actually less crowded than the section on the floor with tables. Onto the food, I had fries that were nicely salted, and covered in a curry spice. They were decent but nothing spectacular. I would also describe my burger this way. The best part of it was the perfectly toasted and buttery bun-- but I find it overconfident to serve a burger without any toppings-- just a sauce that was apparently blended with pickles that I couldn't really taste. The burger was seasoned well enough...plenty of pepper, but it was all one texture, I didn't pick up any searing or anything to make the texture less one note. I asked my server for extra sauce, mustard, and ketchup to make it better. My friend recommended this spot specifically for the burger so I'm willing to say, I just ordered the wrong thing maybe. Onto the desert, the corn tiramisu caught my eye as something unique to try and it was truly an experience. It made me laugh out loud cause it was strange unexpected food experience in both flavor and presentation, I enjoyed it, but wouldn't order it again persay. It came out in a little whipped pile covered in cornflakes with green jalapeño jelly. I appreciated the richness and that it wasn't too sweet-- but overall I'd enjoy it more if it was presented more neatly, and there was a bit more spice on the plate to cut through said richness, although to their the deep sweet and earthy flavored of jalapeños was captured perfectly in the gel.

The restaurant was getting full by 6pm, so having a reservation is probably best. We finally got a chance to eat here and decided on the Tasting Menu ($95/pp, the whole table has to have it) because a lot of the dishes were items we were already looking at. We started off with some drinks, all the drinks were well balanced and not too sweet-perfect. For Tequila: Good Behavior & (Mezcal): Better Off Red were super delicious. Note for the tasting menu (for the 2 of us), they plated 1 dish per course so just note that you do not each get a separate plate so I'm assuming the portions are double (although I wonder what they do for a single person and the whole trout...). I guess it's nice to share a plate so my hubby could enjoy more food but seems like a lot of plates and silverware getting used/changed with each course so it makes me wonder why each person doesn't just get their own portion. Anyway, first course: I don't really like scallops, but these scallops was cool, refreshing with a very mild scallop flavor so I really enjoyed it! Second: tomato tart with goat cheese +heirloom tomatoes salad (very good), Third: Ricotta Gnocchi (YUM), a lot of pancetta pieces, Fourth: Whole trout (the chef removed 95% of the bones, yay, loved that. It was pretty mild taste which was overall good, I liked all the different mushrooms that came with it & Last: Banana Split- feels healthy with the banana there and wow, the cherries look like Luxardo ones. Honestly, this was a good amount of food (I wasn't overly stuffed thankfully but full). I would definitely recommend the Tasting Menu (note, no modifications/subs allowed) and was glad we ordered it. The pacing was not hurried (we were not in a rush), but they can definitely accommodate (bring 2 courses out at a time), if you need to be somewhere by a certain time for a show or game. They also have a free parking lot (fenced in)! We will most definitely be back, it was an amazing night at Bar Pigalle!

Olivia was our server and despite being slammed she gave us a thorough rundown of the place, the menu, and the flavors. Everything sounded great and she certainly made deciding easier. We started with a chartreuse forward cocktail, The Last Word...which is certainly a drink worthy of a conversation. I do recommend trying it to start. We also got the bread service with seasonal butter which was cinnamon salt. My wife is not a big fan of cinnamon and even she enjoyed it. Hard to explain how good just bread can be but when it comes out with a crunchy sourdough crust, is still steaming, and has the perfect chew...it just hits the spot! We settled on the pan seared cod and bay scallop ceviche for our plates and as much as we intended on sharing, we were both very satisfied with our choices. There is something so refreshing about a simple dish that is prepared so well. It was hard to watch the dishes we didn't choose be taken out to other tables because everything looked so fresh and delicious. The dining area is nice, definitely can get a little loud but they did really well with the space given to get seats available and still make their own comfy space with its own character. We tried the s'mores cake for dessert and it too was excellent. Rich without being too much. I think that the price was very reasonable for farm fresh and handmade dishes. Actually, more than reasonable...I even said I wish we could come back tomorrow for dinner. We will be back in October, you can count on that!
