After much debate I can confidently give three stars. The service is prompt, and the food comes out relatively quickly. However, the BBQ is ok, the sides are ok, and the sauces are ok. Nothing has really stood out that makes me want to come back anymore. I will say that it is the better BBQ in the area though. The other spots are nowhere close. I just have much better options in SoCal.

Currently, there's not a lot of smoking of fish going on, but there absolutely is fresh off the boat just caught for you, fish to purchase, along with a couple of different versions of canned fish. This is the first time that I've spent $20 for a can of tuna ( see the picture), and I would do it all over again! It is that delicious. I'm usually pretty hoity-toity with my canned tuna selections, but this really upped the game for me, and I absolutely will not look back. It's not oily, it's not packed with a bunch of unnecessary water, it's just amazing tuna in a can. I also purchased, salmon, smoked, salmon, and sturgeon. We can't wait to try them. We made tuna salad, and literally there was none left. If we could have scraped the bowl even more than we had, we certainly would have. The location is quaint, and if you have the ability to grab some of the fresh fish, I highly encourage you to do it. The scallops looked amazing. It was pretty cool to feel like a local, for a few moments chatting with Bob, and locals were stopping in said hello to us, said hello to Bob, and started chitchatting about family events, or whatever they had going on. It's such a great event for the town, bringing in thousands of people there for the 4th of July weekend. The rotary put on this BBQ and they also serve the food. You start through a line, making you way getting fresh corn on the cobb, then Salad, then bread then what everyone is waiting for the salmon. After you finish eating get back up and get in line and get seconds of salmon. They serve beer from North Coast Brewing Company so drink a few cold ones and enjoy the music.

We looked at the reviews here on Yelp! and were a bit worried at the low overall rating. Well, rest assured, we had a good meal and enjoyed our visit. My wife had the filet mignon, while I ordered the rib eye. I asked our waitress about upgrading to the pricier dry aged rib eye, and she surprisingly talked me out of it saying the regular rib eye was really good. She was right. The combination of the grilling and the buttery sauce was delicious. It didn't need any additional sauce, but out of curiosity I tried the house sauce that was on the table, and it was quite nice. For some reason, they have a Tesla coil (from the original Tesla, not the car company) and they fired it off while we were there. They give plenty of notice before they do as it makes a loud sound and sparks fly about the device. It was interesting. So, if you're in town and looking for a good steak, give this place a try.
