Pros: Location is wonderful. Very centrally located via bus…read moreor train. Ambiance is like your first time visiting Disney World. Whimsy and discovery as you get lost around all the different corners. It's a lot of fun. Service is great, as well. Very friendly stall operators, and they have a lot more alternatives than we do in America. Non-dairy, vegan, allergy-free everywhere you do, and they taste pretty good, too. Food is exquisite. It has to be. There is so much competition all around, if a stall doesn't offer amazing food, I imagine they'd get kicked out very quickly. Cons: No cons really. The prices are even usually reasonable. Tips: Don't eat until you arrive. Be very hungry, share lots of things with lots of people. Try everything.

It was easily one of my favorite spots to have the pleasure of visiting! The main highlight for me was The Black Pig. Their slow-roasted pork sandwiches are unbelievable. Both the honey and spicy sandwiches were delicious but very different. The spicy sandwich had pesto and that went well with the pork and veggies. The honey version was more savory, but still amazing. Both sandwiches had a nice hint of smoky flavor which was nice. The fresh parm was killer. Beyond the Black Pig, the whole market is packed with delicious pulls. Things like artisanal bread, incredible chocolate, and several vendors with great coffee. There was jackfruit on site and that was a treat! it's just a fantastic place to wander around and eat your way through. I recommend starting early to beat the crowds and skipping breakfast.

The restaurant is in a cute little spot with a few other restaurants. Great vibe with indoor and some outdoor seating The fresh fish and wine pairings are outstanding. We started with sea scallops which melted in your mouth. So good! Then we got a bottle of white wine with fish pairings (they had 8 local options the night we visited). I had the sea bass, and my husband had the trout. So good that I picked that sea bass apart all the way to the bone, which is saying a lot given that it was a very meaty, generous portion already. I tasted the trout, and it was equally amazing. Very impressive and fresh! I wish we could've actually tried some dessert because others around us looked very happy, but we were so full it didn't make sense. If you like fish, go out of your way and stop here! You won't regret it.

It was so flavorful and almost had a meat-like texture, wrapped perfectly in the crisp phyllo dough. My partner went for the lamb roast, featuring tender, juicy pieces of lamb that tasted fantastic. We also enjoyed some pigs in a blanket and a side of stuffing. There was so much food that we shared our pigs in a blanket with the lovely ladies at the next table. If I could suggest one thing, it would be to ask for the gravy on the side of the stuffing so it doesn't get overwhelmed.

We loved the Dean Swift Pub and it offers a charming and cozy old school pub atmosphere. I highly…read morerecommend their Sunday Roast but absolutely make a reservation! The pub has a traditional British feel, both inside and out, with limited seating on both floors. While their menus offer a wide variety of options, we were there solely for the Sunday Menu and Sunday Roast, and it did not disappoint. We started with a couple of pints and the Ibérico Ham Croquettes, served with aioli (£8 | $10.50 USD). I can best described them as three ground ham and cheese tater tots. They were delicious and made for a great start. For the main course, we both opted for the Aged Striploin Beef Roast. I loved that you could choose how it's cooked (medium-well for me & medium-rare for Chris). This is not common from what I understand. Each roast comes with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, homemade Yorkshire pudding, and red wine jus. Everything was simply delightful (£19.5 | $25.59 USD). To finish, we shared the churros (4 count), served with cinnamon and chocolate sauce. A perfect sweet ending to the meal (£6.5 | $8.53 USD). We also added a side of Cauliflower Cheese (£5 | $6.56 USD), which was rich, creamy, and served molten hot but was the perfect complement to the roast. The Dean Swift Pub was voted one of London's Top 25 Sunday Roasts by The Evening Standard, and it certainly lives up to the hype. I included both Sterling Pound and USD here to $ is a google estimate for an idea of the cost in the states. I would absolutely recommend The Dean Swift Pub, and you for to try a Sunday Roast. -- Quick Reference -- For Reservations, Email: manager@thedeanswift.com Phone: 020 3196 6949 Address: 10 Gainsford Street, London, SE1 2NE Tucked away between Butler's Wharf Pier and Queen Elizabeth Street (at the corner of Lafone & Gainsford Streets). The space itself is beautiful decorated - some trendy wall paper paired with warm wood tones. Its inviting, cozy, has a very pretty bar. We were seated in the main dining room where the manager explained to us that the Brigade is a social enterprise. Meaning, they help to employ and educate members of the homeless community in London so that they can lift themselves out of poverty and enter into the food/bev industry. Great food with a great cause, SIGN ME UP! On to the food - it was VERY good. We ordered two local beers. I loved mine, it was a mead style that wasn't too sweet, but perfect to wash down all the noms. We started with sourdough bread. This was perfectly toasted and paired with butter topped with crystalized salt. YUM. We also had roasted bone marrow and the cornish rump of beef. The bone marrow was good but it was the beef that really blew me away. Brigade uses local London ingredients and this beef was no exception. It was perfectly cooked to rare and I enjoyed every bite. We also got a side of chips, because carbs are life. These chips were SO GOOD. Admittedly, we came to Brigade because we saw a photo on Yelp with fish and chips, which they no longer serve. So happy we ended up here to explore the menu, as a meal filled with carbs and beef is always on my favorites list, and it was no different here. Service was super friendly, and we ended up getting a discount on the bill because they had a promotion going on in November. Double win!
