    Plaice fish

I didn't know before coming to England that the most common fish used in fish and chips was cod. I never thought about it. But here I fell in love with plaice fish. SOOOooOooo good!

The food was average. It was a big piece of haddock but I am not sure about the quality of the fry. They did not give much chips. Service quality was dependent on the server. One of them was not the most friendly, while the other was very friendly. It is a good sit down place immediately after the museum tour. The restaurant will charge you a mandatory service fee of 10%. Family run establishment. A bit pricy.

Fish came out quick and we could tell it was good quality! A little disappointed that we have to pay for basic sides that should be pre-served.

The food was alright, there was a line to go in so I figured it might be good, the person in front of us said they always got the chicken, we tried fish/chips & chicken and the chicken won !!

After a day at the British Museum, this was a great spot to eat! Fast and friendly service. We got the haddock, cod, and plaice fish and chips so we could taste all three.... All were good but the cod won out for us as best! My son had the fried shrimp and daughter had the chicken dumplings and they both enjoyed their meal. Great place to go after touring the museum!

Walked in with a group of 10, and they were able to seat us well which was a very lovely thing. After we got seated, the staff was very nice, and they even wiped down the table/moved tables for us to sit at. The ordering/ food delivery time was within 10 minutes which was really good. The food itself was wonderful, and I would for sure recommend it to to someone else. They had other things offered on their menus as well

Was a bit skeptical at first due to being in a touristy area, but these were definitely my favorite fish & chips I had in London. Fish was super fresh and portion was huge. The offerings of Korean Fried Chicken was also a nice touch and were super delicious and paired well with the fish. Everything was fried to order and tasted super fresh! Would highly recommend to anyone nearby.

On the way to British Museum, we decided to stop by and grab lunch. The weather was 101 and this pub does not have AC which made it awful to dine in. Plus the fan underneath us was not working. I got the cod sandwich with chips and a glass of Riesling. The waitress was the only one on the floor and I felt so bad for her as she was quite overwhelmed with all the tables she had to serve. My food came out quickly but was underwhelming because food in the UK is just never the best. All in all, it's a convenient location for a quick bite. Just don't come on the hottest day.

The fish plaice is a cool place to grab a bite to eat. Clean and busy but still had open seating and were very responsive.

Delicious and super fresh. The plaice was a very generous serving. Chips are good - just a classic. Very quick service too.

The place was completely packed, so I ended up eating on the stairs about a block away, honestly felt like part of the experience. (I heard the non GF version was also excellent.) Platter came with flavorful mushy peas, tartar sauce, and a spicy mayo (or currry for the non GF platter). Chips were large and delicious. Portion was huge, and easily shareable. Delicious!! Service: It was ok. We waited in line for a really long time (more than an hour) but we were checked on from time to time. Once we were seated and ordered, no one really checked in, but we asked if we needed something. Ambiance: Cute outdoor seating. In door seating was okay. Reservations get to go into a back room which seemed nicer. Lovely side street in a crazy busy popular area. It's a solid 4.5 stars for what it is because the food was so good. I'd return. Tip: Make a reservation a couple of weeks in advance, or be prepared to wait...a long time...Or, skip the line to order takeaway and go enjoy your food!

Open and airy, it's a throwback to Old World architecture with a vintage Athletic Club vibe. In fact, it's considered to be a "Grade I" listed building, joining the ranks of other historically significant places in London, including Buckingham Palace and Tower Bridge. In fact, it felt like T.S. Eliot, Agatha Christie, or Virginia Woolf might've passed through here to take in a pint themselves or be inspired by the trains below for their next plot line. Since I was craving Fish & Chips with malted vinegar and creamy tartar sauce the moment I booked my trip to London, this was a clear choice on their menu. Disappoint, it did not! (Though it was one of my fears considering it's located at a highly touristic point at King's Cross Station.) In fact, the fish was fresh and flakey, while the chips were perfectly cut and well-seasoned. There was even a side of minty peas next to my fresh-cut lemon wedges that made me smile. I paired it with a cold pint of a local draught Cider that was also quite refreshing on this balmy, summer day. Equally as impressive, my meal was ready almost as quick as the whip of my wand and the snap of my fingers. Granted, it was 3pm in the afternoon and the crowds were light at that time. But still. The locomotive speed on my order was noted and very much appreciated. To top it off, the friendly staff helped me navigate through my whims and indecision with their selection of pints and cocktails (and even the city to find my next stop). So the next time I'm passing through here, I'll be sure to make this a stop along my journey. Cheers to The Parcel Yard for a job well done from start to finish!

We were craving for fish and chips which is a staple or must have when in London. Each main fish course comes with unlimited chips or baked potatoes and we opted for the chips. We had the following: - cod fillet - haddock fillet - soup of the day which was the tomato bisque - prawn tempura - calamari - coke zero - regular coke It's strange how the regular coke cost £1 more than the coke zero. For a group of 4, we planned to have the North Seafood platter which comprises of cod and Haddock bites, Calamari, Prawns, Sardines, Scampi, Salt and Pepper Squid for £44.00 but our server insisted that it's only good for 2 people. That serving really was big but as per the lady server it's only good for 2 so we ended up getting individual plates. We also overheard the same lady server insisted on what the other table should order stating that serving is too small for that other table. In fairness, food was really good. We just didn't like the fact that the server was insisting what we should and should not order.
