For example, glasses of wine are provided from small individual bottles of Barefoot brand California wine at the lowest prices I have seen in Lawrence restaurants. In June 2024, a glass of wine is only $3 at this seafood restaurant. Unfortunately, they do not have broiled, grilled, or baked seafood, only fried and boiled. We got both boiled and fried shrimp and fried fish along with fried ocra and with various interesting sauces. I would guess that the fish were probably small catfish. They were very fresh. The fried fish, shrimp, and ocra were excellent, as were the sauces. The boiled shrimp were OK, but nothing special. I was puzzled by some of the reviews I've seen complaining about high spice level. Neither the batter on the fried food nor any of the sauces we tried were excessively spicy. In fact, we were very happy with the spice levels. I would be much more enthusiastic about this restaurant, if it offered broiled, grilled, or baked fish.
