I have ordered through Door Dash numerous times and they've easily screwed up the order 80% of the time. This last time they actually left out the sandwiches. $63.00 and I get three bags of chips and aus jus, but no sandwiches. The driver went back for me and picked up my cold sandwiches. Neither delivery had sealed bags. The driver did his job. The store, however, insisted the bags were sealed. This store has no quality control and Door Dash has no systems to satisfy customers. Nice deli, and it's a chain but they are attentive and clean. I like the salads, big and fresh. Have yet to get brown lettuce here. Wraps are good, soups are good. You can order on the app or pop in, either way is fast. read more

Really good "New Yorker", plenty of lean meat, wife had a half a club sandwich with chicken tortilla soup...she really liked both, fast service....only issue...gal asked my wife if she wants avocado on her sandwich, which she said "no". Good food, nice service. The environment is pleasant and not loud. My boyfriend had the McAllister's Club and he really enjoyed it. Came with a lot of meat. Great portion sizes. I had the California Turkey Reuben. It was good; it's not a sandwich I would normally get but the marble rye is yum. The sandwiches come with a side option and we both chose Mac n Cheese. It was so good, really creamy. We both also had the baked potato soup which was delicious. Overall a nice dining experience. read more

My best friend and I came I to eat today and were getting ready to order our food and what did we see but one of the workers with long dirty blonde hair taking a rubber band out of her hair which she was standing behind the counter where the food was and flipping her hair and finally putting it in a bun on top of her head. I love McAlisters and maybe it was a a rough night, but they really seem disorganized as a team, and I think that was a direct result of the manager on duty. They must have messed up 4 or 5 orders in a row, including ours. They forgot the veggie chili and when we asked about it she rudely asked for our receipt thinking we didn't order it. When I walked into the restaurant I expected more than I received. I ordered a McCalisters sandwich and it looked amazing from the outside but I took a peak inside and found a few pieces of hair that looked like a came from a ginger. I love McAllisters Bacon spud potato's and usually that's what I order. Well we're on the road traveling and I didn't want anything super heavy so I had ordered the grilled chicken club. First our orders had came up wrong and they automatically fixed it which we were happy to see and hear. The staff was really nice and it seemed like they get great business but... So usually when I make chicken I season it and make it taste real good. Well... this chicken had no taste what so ever!! I was really disappointed and ended up taking my sandwich apart and eating the important things like the chicken and veggies but didn't eat the bread. First time visit to location and chain. Meeting a friend that I only see once every few months for mid-afternoon lunch and visiting. Bigger menu than I expected. We each ordered a Choice 2 with a chopped salad and half sandwich. The salad was as I expected from the description: Lots of texture and taste. Housing dressing was great. The sandwich was just OK. Booths were comfy....which is why we went in here instead of the pizza place next door. We were there 2 hours and about every half hour, an employee came by to remove dishes or refill a drink. The food had an average deli feel to it. The assistance that occurred was a little overbearing. They provided constant hell throughout the dining experience. When I went to the bathroom(nice bathrooms +1 star) they attempted to assist me even further as far as adjusting my cheeks on the toilet seat. Strange but helpful. Rather pricey for the quality of food I received. I Ordered the pick 2 shrimp po boy and a savannah salad. $8.99 total. The picture of the sandwich looks like a toasted hoagie roll with nice plump grilled seasoned and glazed shrimp. Of course the actual product is a bit different. The Shrimp was cooked, but small, very cold and mushy. It was laid on an ocean thousand island sauce which was the main flavor for the whole thing. I was sad, the sandwhich looked great on the menu. The salad was pretty tasty. I especially like the dressing. A sweet honey vinegar. Really love cranberries, nuts and feta cheese together. I go to the Mc Alisters near me in Virginia and it is always good food with great service. So I was doubly disappointed tonight when we ordered carry out and discovered when we got to our hotel that half of our order was missing. I had ordered a chiloose two with the Savannah chopped salad and the horseradish cheddar roast beef sandwich. My husband's order was complete but my sandwich was missing. We had been driving all day and quite honestly were just too tired to go back. Customers should not have to check their order before they leave. BOO! read more

Went there for the first time today. Food was good, but layout of the restaurant and service is where the three stars is coming from. I've been to two other Mcalisters and the layout of this one is just bad compared to those. The others, you walk into the counters and then the seating area is off to the side. At this one, there's a line area that divides the two seating areas and causes a lot of congestion. The service was just not good. There were a lot of employees who were walking around, but I could not get a refill at all. So after my cup sat empty for at least five minutes, I got up and stood in the long line just for a refill. When I got up to the front, the lady said "We get you refills from the table." To which I responded, "I know, but I was tired of waiting for someone to come get it." Then she just seemed kind of rude as she got it for me. Food was good though. I had the nachos, my wife had a bacon spud, and our daughter had the Mac and cheese. All was pretty good. So, my review might change after I try it more, but for now, it's getting a three star only. read more

I wish I could give this place a big fat ZERO. Had a long Saturday and went to McAlister's which usually had good food about 930pm. I ordered a taco salad. The taco salad came out 95% lettuce, with disgusting jalapenos, onions, and like 4 scoops of CHILI MEAT on it. Guess they were wanting to use up the extra meat they hadn't served that day. No tortilla chips, no cheese. Had to go ask for tortilla chips. Flat out disgusting. Waste of money. Plus it took forever to get to us. Girl behind the counter knew it was gross and took forever. After getting to my destination, I discovered I had not caught an error in my order. I called McAlister's and was very pleased in how the handled my concern as they went above and beyond in making sure I was satisfied. I've been to McAllisters in other cities, but this was my first time at the new restaurant in Topeka. I arrived at 11:30 for lunch. We did not have to wait in line very long, which was good. However, I ordered their soup of the day, tomato bisque, and half. Of a baked potato. After I had paid, the person taking my order was informed that they did not have tomato bisque. I thought this was a bit odd, since it was so early in the day and it was posted as their soup of the day. I ended up getting a full potato. It was baked well and had a nice amount of cheese and bacon on it, but it was a bit dry. It came with a small container of oleo, but could have used more. I did ask for, and received, some sour cream for it. The servers coming to the table were pleasant and attentive. I hope the confusion with the soup of the day was just growing pains and getting settled into a new place. It will be disappointing if the customers cannot rely on the posted menu. read more

Well i took my family out to dinner tonight and i have to say this has to be the worst place to go in town. It took them forever to get out supper and it was wrong three times and we did not even get everything also the food was cold. None the less it took a long time before the manager even came out. So im sorry to say we will not be returning as well as others there were a lot of other patrons there getting disgusted over the long wait on receiving there orders. Went this past Sunday, as I'd had some of their food catered and the kids were starving. Waited to order while another family made their order. Five minutes later, the girls at the counter were looking bored and waiting around but nobody gestured me forward. I said, "I'd be happy to place my order," and they stared at me and said nothing. We went to McAlister's Deli with our 10 year old daughter's entire soccer team while we were in town for a soccer tournament. I think we overwhelmed them at first, but the staff did a great job taking orders and getting food out quickly. Everything tasted great and the girls had a great time talking while eating lunch. I had forgotten that the kids menu is only 99 cents if you dine in. I will definitely be visiting my local McAlister's at home. read more

Never disappointed in the food ever!!!!!!! It's always so great!!! But I get the choose two every time I come which is normally once a month. The last month I've came several times. I always pay to upgrade from the cup to the bowl of soup. Every time. I have never once actually got the bowl. I have to ask for it every single time after I get my food. After checking my receipts I've been 4 times in the last month and never once got the bowl. It has officially changed my mind on coming back to this location which makes me sad but I got tired of going back up to ask for the bowl. I love the salads at McAlister's & go there often for just that selection. Tonight, they must've been short of help! There was line waiting to order & only one person taking orders. Three plates were waiting in the window for delivery to tables. Finally another person appeared from the back & helped w/orders. I placed my order but there was not a clean table in the place, I asked for a cloth to clean my own. After much searching the young lady found a cloth & asked which table I wanted. I told her I didn't care as NONE were wiped off. She did wipe a clean one off & continued to do so to others. This is not the first time that I have had issues w/finding a clean place to eat. OMG!!! Don't even know where to begin. Second visit to this establishment in about 4 months after the first visit not going so well either. After ordering and sitting in the dining room waiting and watching happened to notice one of the servers walk from the kitchen apparently with a runny nose, she started with her index finger and wiped her nose all the way up past her wrist. Then wiped her hand across her side to dry it off. Then reached in the window and grabbed two plates to deliver to a table Upon returning to behind the counter apparently there was another problem her left index finger went immediately up the nostril and started digging upon removing her finger a little flick was all she needed things were clean. After our table discussed this everyone was appalled and kind of watching. We wondered what would happen next. Then it happened she's waiting for another plate to be set up in the window to be delivered with her left index finger in her mouth picking something out from between her teeth using the same index finger sticking it in a plate to drag it closer to her to get a better grasp picks up the plate to deliver it to the customer. Do these people not know what they are doing or is it they just don't care come on people have some respect 4 your fellow man. Needless to say I will never return to this establishment besides the food's not that great anyway overpriced sandwiches and baked potatoes you can make at home. My advice: when serving food to the public refrain from sticking your finger or any part of your body in any of your orifices. read more
