Gut said turn back..... Sat down ready to order while waitress stood halfway across the room watching tv still, asking if I'm ready. Already frustrated with service and fully knowing why I'm the only one in here. Ordered, gut told me to turn back. Food came out ‍‍‍‍‍got French fries instead of home fries with a debate about what home fries were. WTF where am I!!! Came out of fridge with home fries in hand and asked if this is what I wanted Also asked if I wanted jelly...asked for strawberry and they only had grape. Pancakes were not cooked all the way, eggs were blah. Went to pay and waitress/cook said she couldn't get the machine to work and asked how much it was. I said that's your job and she replied with "I don't know what I'm doing, the guy OD'd last night who was supposed to be here." I asked if it was an employee, she said yes...get me out of here NOW!!!! Worst restaurant I have EVER been to right before a big race, thanks Tracks End!!! Change your name to Dead End because that's how this place makes you feel.

This is a solid breakfast option in Williamson, WV. My partner is from Williamson and knew of the…read moreplace already when we visited. He described it as a home cooked breakfast for a decent price and he was right. The menu has your standard breakfast latter options with cute locomotive names inspired by the setting. They also have omelettes--which are deconstructed with the egg at the bottom and the other ingredients on the top. Pancakes and unlimited coffee are also available. Since I visited during COVID, there was only one person working so it was a bit slow. Thankfully, we were the only ones there and the woman working was incredibly nice and patient with us as we figured out our order. The best part about this place was the pricing. You get a very decent meal for anywhere between $5-7. You just can't beat that. Also, don't miss the new mural just up the block. It's a must see if you're in town!

I've had them walk away from me for long periods of time when it was my turn to order. Could be lack of staffing but that doesn't excuse the lack of hygiene and the attitude towards customers

I don't normally find myself eating at Kentucky Fried Chicken very much, there is just something…read more"off" about it. It is like the necessity to sit down for a more home cooked meal has vanished over time. As if we, as people, have come to an agreement that we are all eating processed junk. A shame really. I've started to avoid fast food as much as possible, but obviously, as a middle class working man, I find myself eating fast food AT LEAST twice a week. So before work, I had about an hour to spare, and it was around lunchtime, so I figured I would go to Subway, but you know, as I was driving to Subway, I remembered KFC, the fried chicken, the classic 12 herbs and spices, all that jazz. Well, I decided to go there and give it a try. Keep in mind, I haven't been at KFC since the 5 dollar fill up was just released, so it had been a while. So when I went inside the KFC, I seen that the whole area was rather, less clean than other fast food places. I mean, it was flat out dirty, it just looked unclean, it could have been the color pattern, or the crumbs on the tables, but it would be to their advantage that they have someone at least come wipe the tables off at least every 15 minutes or so. I ordered a 5 dollar fill up, with the new Nashville Hot Chicken, with Mashed Potatoes, a Biscuit, and a Cookie. I also tried that new yellow mountain dew. (Wasn't a fan of it to be honest, but I can see why people enjoy it, it just wasn't to my liking.) Anyhow, the food was by no means great, it honestly operates the same way as a normal fast food joint, but instead of burgers and fries, they have fried chicken! It just feels weird! The food was by all means not bad, but is was not really good either. I have also went through the drive through, giving them another chance about a week later, and was upset to realize they gave me the wrong item. I ordered a plain 5 dollar fill up with Mac N Cheese instead of Mashed Potatoes. On the receipt, and rung up the same. But to my surprise, I did not get the instant and easy Mac N Cheese, instead I was forced to eat the Potatoes. So that is a point off for getting stuff wrong. The prices can get a little outrages sometimes and I don't believe the quality of the food reflects the cost too well, it needs to be marked down, because without ordering a value meal or special deal of the day, expect to spend a good chunk of money on fried chicken that would overall be way cheaper to make at home. Conclusion, If you want fried chicken and don't feel like making it, KFC is a decent place to go to, it is by far not the best, as almost any other chicken place is better, but around this area, it is the best we got when it comes to cheap and easy fried chicken. I'd go there again if I was craving it.
