Peaking in South Williamson is a great place to eat at. The food is, most of the time, always up to expectation. (For what your paying for, Americanized Chinese Food) and the Atmosphere is very calming and friendly. All of the staff is extremely nice, and I've never not felt a hesitation to dine there. I'm a fan of authentic Chinese food, and it's really hard to find it anywhere, in the state of Kentucky. Honestly it would be better to just make it yourself, but that is how it is with any restaurant. Making it yourself will always taste better. Peaking has a music choice of classical music with a spin of modern. As in modern songs are played as classical renditions. The buffet is extremely clean, and the hibachi bar was on par with other ones around here. I can't speak from experiance, but I know a guy who inspects these type of restaurants, and he has told me several times that this chinese restaurant is an extremely clean faculty. I can speak first hand that the restrooms are very clean. Overall, Peaking is a great place to dine at when you are feeling something different besides burgers and fries, and I encourage you to disregard all the rumors you've heard about the place. I love this place, I got to try new stuff I never did before and it's pretty cheap too, their food is amazing and you can eat as much as you want for until the place closes if you want. My stomach hurts everyone we eat here. We have not found a good Chinese food restaurant since we moved from NJ

this place is awful the lady at the front desk was very rude and demanding she closed the place ONE hour befor when it was supposed to be closed all i have to say is outrageous taht was my first bad experience this is my second one the crawfish was alive when i went there on a sunday evening me and my wife just got remarried and we decided let's eat at peking2 because we wanted to give them a second chance and we'll this next part is awful i went to grab a crawfish and the darn the was alive and it pinched me i will not be coming back!!!!!well i came back and got some crawfish again and got sick no seasoning rotten meat and just overall awful read more

Peking is a buffet ONLY restaurant that is usually consistent with the food quality they have to offer. The Beef with peppers and onions is outstanding, but like most Chinese food, is on the salty side. I also think they should expand their selection's. If you happen to be picky this restaurant, and most other restaurants, is not for you. To me the food is nowhere near exotic but its often not appreciated due to being in an area with a "beans and cornbread" mentality. My only complaints are that this restaurant is in desperate need of a remodeling and they don't offer sushi like the one about 30 miles from South Williamson in Pikeville Kentucky. read more

There are not many different restaurants in this area. They are mostly hamburger places. Peking II is a Chinese buffet in Pike county. It is in South Williamson and it is the only Chinese restaurant located there and around the area. It is a nice little place located inside the Southside mall. It is located across from an athletic store. It has a small buffet but the food is delicious! Rice noodles with veggies, veggie and pork, sometimes curry chicken, fried chicken, fried corn nuggets, sweet and sour chicken and pork, cheese wontons and soups just to list a few. They keep the trays up so the food stays fresh! Service is great. The attendants and servers are courteous and keep up with your refills and clearing your plates to keep your table clear. The prices are great also. Lunch is under $7.00 and dinner is under $9.00. Drinks run $2.00 with refills. They serve individual dishes upon order and they also do take out. The atmosphere is nice with Chinese decor and ambient lighting. Very pleasant dining experience. If you ever visit Southside mall, don't just go shopping but try Peking as well. Their foods are unbelievably disgusting, I have only visited and eat at Peking 2 once and never will again in my lifetime. Almost all of the foods that Peking 2 serves are hardly explainable, I don't even know what it was that I have ordered but it was some kinds of noodles with different of ingredients mixed in them, I wasn't even strong enough to take the second bite off that plate and the amounts I took for a bite which is by the way very small amounts but it was enough to make myself ill for half of a week which I assume a possibility of foods poisoning. The waitress that I was served under were somewhat unfriendly and unskilled especially at how to describe what it was that I was ordering. Even though the waitress seems to not have any knowledge of what is in the foods I were ordering, I responded the waitress "If you do not have any knowledge of at least what is in this food on the menu that I am considering to order, could you at least try your best to explain even if it means one thing of what is in it?" and the waitress would only responded back with "hmmm, let me ask and I will be back in a few" then a few minutes later the waitress came back with whatever it was that I ordered along with the receipt to pay. I didn't even order it as I was waiting for the waitress to come back with at least some explains of what is in the foods that I was (considering as I said) to order but ended up with actually being ordered without knowing what the heck it was. read more

I love Peking II, and always have, ever since I first ate here. There are no other Chinese buffet restaurants in the area, and even if you wanted to drive 30 minutes to an hour to find a different one, you won't get the same kind of service and atmosphere that you will here at Peking II. Their menu has changed slightly, which is a little upsetting, because I love fried okra! But, the staff is kind and the newly remodeled restaurant has a lovely feel. I never regret eating here, and have never been sick from their food, and I've been coming here sporadically over the last 4-5 years. read more
