The restaurant is basically another version of Shogun but I was not mad I had the chicken hibatchi and everything was good. It was also nice being able to watch them cook in front of us because I don't remember the last time I sat at a hibatchi table. The prices are similar to what you get at shotgun; seems pricey but the portions are huge to make up for it.

Reviews of local restaurants in Point Pleasant, WV mentioned this Japanese restaurant, and since the kids love noodles we decided it would be a safe bet. Well I'm happy to say this decision paid off because Ichiban did not disappoint. Between the rice, noodles, and the wonton (which is Chinese of course) I can say we didn't have one thing here that was not delicious. All the animal proteins, especially the filet mignon, were perfectly seasoned. Mind you it's no different from other hibachi style restaurants such as a Benihana, but I was not expecting to find this type of food in these parts. Our waitress was also very sweet and attentive to our needs, especially with having two little kids to travel with. The only negative thing I'll say is the soup is really not good. Absolutely zero flavor whatsoever.

The crab Rangoon appetizer was just okay compared to other places. The staff was friendly, however not very attentive. That's the only reason I don't give them 5 stars.
