My favorite local Chinese buffet great food great service 10/10 I'd recommend to anyone

Very nice restaurant. Great food with tons of options. I recommend seafood night but beware it costs a little more but it's definitely worth it. Very romantic and wheelchair accessible. The service is hit and miss, Ive had great servers then I've had servers put people in front of me because they looked like they could tip more. Be prepared to hear some sassyness exchanged amongst the staff, in a different language of course lol. All in all a good place for a romantic dinner though. read more

Everything is sticky. Everything is dark. The food is dubious at best. Everything is drowning is sauce in a halfhearted attempt to mask the fact that it's been sitting there for entirely too long. Crab Rangoon? Freezer burnt. General Tso's Chicken? Metallic tasting and rubbery. Fried rice? So salty you need a gallon of water to wash it down. The only redeeming quality of this place is the service, and that's the only reason I gave them a star. Save yourself the trip and the money and make your own Chinese at home. As with most Chinese restaurants, this one has a large buffet, sushi bar and hibachi grill. It is clean when you first enter and there is a large amount of tables, so chances are you won't have to wait. I hadn't eaten here in probably a year. My husband and son eat hear often and like it. It was Saturday night and there was quite a crowd, so the buffet was kept fresh. I like to start with egg drop soup, but I didn't like their recipe. It had some vegetables, which is fine, but they had corn in theirs, and it was not good. The fried rice did not have peas and carrots, which I did like. They had all the regular Chinese staples. But on Friday and Saturday, they have crab legs. I don't like shell fish of any kind, but the crab legs are a popular dish here (hence the large crowd), so they must be good here. The sushi bar is very limited, but it is something I do not eat, so I can't review the quality of this place. The hibachi is also really small, but it seemed to be very popular. We don't have a lot to choose from in our area when it comes to Chinese food. But Peking Dragon is suitable for this American girl when I have a taste for this cuisine. read more

Paintsville and I go way back and I've tried just about every fast food joint and restaurant from Salyersville to Prestonsburg. I must say that this is the best choice for the best food around. It used to be called Mandrin House, but it seems about the same to me. Great service, great food, and great locals in the midst. I noticed that they had a posting for a discount on carryout. That offer isn't to be mistaken with your average Asian food carry out though. This is a top notch buffet, so if you're already there, the underpriced buffet is what I recommend. I started with the cold salad options... first of all, I've never experienced a buffet that chops the broccoli... I for one, don't like huge chunks of broccoli, so I usually skip it. Not here. I appreciate that minor to most detail. The cucumbers were peeled... these people need to give tips to buffets in Lexington because I never see that there either. The hot options are beyond amazing. With at least five large rows of options, there is no way that you would walk away hungry. Don't pass up those sauteed mushrooms... my favorite on the entire bar and the best I've ever had. We were in from out of town and ordered a large variety of foods to try and everything was tasty and portioned very well for the price. Great food, fast service and happily would eat from here again read more

Their takeout is the best bang for your buck, and it's absolutely delicious. This is my favorite place to get Chinese. Everywhere else is just disappointing once you've had some Peking, formerly the Mandarin House. read more

I live very close to this restaurant and eat here often. The food is really good. The buffet is well stocked. They also have a hibachi grill which is included in with the buffet. The price is very reasonable and the service is great. Clean too! read more

Out of all the Chinese buffets that I've been to in and around this area, this is my absolute favorite! The restaurant is clean, the employees are nice, there is so much variety to choose from and they keep the trays fresh. You can see them walking the buffet and relaying orders back to the kitchen to replenish the food items with hot fresh ones. It is quite a drive for me so I try and do some shopping at Wal-Mart when I go. But sometimes I'll make the drive just to eat there. One more thing, I think they have the best chicken on a stick! read more

I'm not sure what was in my Kung Pao Chicken, but it didn't taste like chicken... The rice was bland, the eggroll was bland and the service wasn't good. I called to place my order and no one answered. I drove there and the lady was on the phone, gave me the pen and pad so I could write down my order. When I checked out, she was still on the phone and never said a word to me... RUDE! The food was absolultely terrible and it was a waste of money. read more

Ok let me tell you all about the PeKing in Paintsville,Ky there food price has when up to close to $12 a person here now and the food has when down hill a lot in the past few months. In the past 2 months they've closed the place down 2 times for remodel and still haven't really when and done anything to the restaurant. The food is hardly replaced anymore when I go in and what is on the bar has been there for a few hours and you can't hardly eat it. It is the best Chinese I think you can find within 150 miles. It is a buffet. It is priced depending on the day you go. Days with more 'traffic' are pricier because they tend to have crab and sushi out. THEY ALSO HAVE HIBACHI inside, which used to be its own hibachi/sushi bar but merged. This restaurant used to be under a different name and management and it is far cleaner and tastier now. Takeout is priced extremely well. read more
