I understand wanting to create a certain atmosphere, but this isn't a steakhouse where I expect a dark, moody dining room. What makes this experience especially disappointing is that I really wanted to like this place. It's one of the first times I've left a restaurant feeling genuinely sad about the experience. If the prices were more in line with other restaurants on the square, I probably wouldn't be nearly as critical. But when you're charging a premium, the food needs to deliver.
