Cacio e Pepe Egg and pepperoni bagel sandwich special
JJ C.

Alright going to be real I went in not expecting to be blown away. The place is new, the staff is friendly and the ambiance is your typical sit down bagel shop on Long Island. Now the star, I mean seriously they just changed the game for egg sandwiches in New York and the region. Their special Cacio e Pepe Egg sandwich with choice of Pepperoni or Salami is absolutely heaven and worth every bite and penny $7.25. I was skeptical a Cacio e Pepe cream cheese get the F outta here but these little guys pulled it off. Takes some big you know what's to offer something like this in an Italian neighborhood and well they won't be sleeping with the fishes. Instead call out sick, call in late but run to Franklin Square and flood these guys doors. They offer a bunch of stuff and drinks but this egg sandwich changes lives. It makes the Bacon Egg and Cheese cry uncle!!! Go get one today before you miss out on the best egg sandwich in the United States.

I stopped in to check it out on my way home and what a beautiful set up. They are open from 5 AM to 5 PM and I got myself a black and white cookie that's bigger than my head that was so delicious. Like Seinfeld said " look to the cookie" the salads looked great definitely will be coming back for barbecues to get salads to go with my hamburger and hotdog dinners over the summer everything looked fresh. I wish them the best of luck!

Crave shack - Jerk Chicken over Rice

Home of the BEST and REALEST Nashville Hot Fried Chicken sandwich that is HALAL in NY!!!!…read more I've tried various Nashville Hot halal sandwiches and they just never met my standard... except this one at Crave Shack's. It's not drenched in sauce or powdery from being over seasoned. It's just absolute perfection and has that Nashville Hot spice that kicks in over time when you take a bite. This isn't a spice level to be scared of. It's pretty tolerable if you're used to some heat. The benefits of it not being drenched in sauce means that you can actually enjoy the crunch of the fried chicken. You're going to want to enjoy the crunch because it is crispy and nice! The pickles are a great addition in them too. I love their unique takes of over rice dishes. The Jerk Chicken is an absolute must as well as their steak over rice. Both over rice dishes that you don't really see at other similar establishments and should be deemed as Crave Shack's staples because it started here. Haha. The Crave wings are drenched in Guyanese flavors and it's something to definitely try when you are there along with your rice dish. It's tangy and sweet... straight fire!!! The Crave Burger is absolutely crazy! Smoked in-house, the brisket and the patty, and always made fresh daily... The quality of this burger is definitely worth the price tag. It's a perfect combination that'll put you to sleep because you'll catch the "itis". I just think that once again, Crave, has really started something with topping a burger with brisket rather than the typical "bacon" ordeal. Simply put... Crave Shack lives up to its name by leaving you wanting more once you're out that door!

The white sauce tasted more like ranch. The garlic sauce gets lost with everything else. The bits of rice that did not get any sauce were the only edible thing in the platter. This is not authentic halal cart chicken over rice. BEWARE!

"Pepe's Deli" stood there looking at me, daring me to come in. Well I accepted the dare, because I was going in. But getting there wasn't going to be easy because parking in the area was terrible; I had to park a few blocks up, now back to the story. Inside it was packed. There was a soccer game going on and the people inside were invested. I looked around and liked the organization. In the back they had visible merchandise, but that's what you expect from smaller businesses. I walked over to the counter and two wonderful woman worked back there. They asked me what I wanted and quickly put my order together. I asked for extra tartar sauce and she had no objections getting some for me. I took my meal to go because I was in a hurry to meet up with some people. When I tried the fish I felt this was what good fish should taste like. It was flaky and the perfect texture. The tartar sauce seemed to be store made and complimented my meal. The potato salad also was store made. I enjoyed that as well. How could I have never seen this deli before! I can tell you this for sure, it might be my first sighting of this hidden gem, but it won't be my last visit.

It's been about 4 years since I've been to The Burger Spot, but the food and service is still as great as I remember it to be. I used the ordering service through their website and put in my order for pickup. I walked into The Burger Spot and went to the cashier. My order was behind the counter and ready for pickup. My go to speciality burger is Swiss ($15.95). Swiss comes with swiss, mushrooms, and caramelized onions. Burgers are served with fries. The burger was juicy and just the way I remember it to be. The fries are very crispy and the white sauce it comes with is very good. My husband ordered one of the specials, the Tamarind Cilantro Chicken Sandwich ($16.54). This sandwich is grilled chicken with pepper jack cheese, avocado, arugula, topped with homemade Tamarind cilantro salsa on ciabatta. The sandwich was also served with a side of fries, but you can substitute it for others like he chose 1/2 Sweet Potato / 1/2 Onion Rings for $2.07 more. There were only a few onion rings, but they are big. The sandwich was packed with flavors. The Burger Spot is the spot for burgers and fries. There are a few tables inside and when the weather is nice, there are tables set up outside as well. Definitely check it out if you are in the area!
