I have known Dennis (owner) for years now. Always had good luck with machine shop work here and just had a pair of rotors turned there.

What started as a simple tire installation ended up ALMOST KILLING ME! BEWARE OF THIS SERVICE…read moreCENTER! Came in for service to get tires installed after purchasing them on TireRack. Tire Rack recommends this service center as a premier installer. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! (MORE BELOW) Scheduling Service Scheduling service was not difficult at all. I spoke to a representative at this service center and set up an appointment with ease. I spoke to them on a Tuesday and had a service scheduled for Friday morning. The cost to install four tires was about $100. One reason for the loss of a star is because there is a coupon on their website for $20 off of $100 or more in service that the representative did not mention. I had to ask them about it to see if it applied to this service. The service representative said that I could use the coupon and sure enough when the final bill came, it came with $20 deducted from the final cost. Total: -1 star (4 stars) Waiting Area When you first enter the service shop there is a front desk / reception area with chairs. After I checked the car in I sat on the chairs in front of the reception area thinking that was the only waiting area. Later, when I was looking to see if there was some sort of vending machine or water dispenser did I find that there was an entire waiting area inside of the service center that the front desk receptionist failed to mention existed. Minus another star. Total: -1 star (3 stars) Service I brought the car in at about 9AM and was out in a little over an hour and a half. Although there was only one car ahead of me, I was told ahead of time that tire installation usually takes about an hour so a thirty-minute overage is not far outside of the anticipated time. Total: 0 stars (3 stars) PROBLEM Prior to bringing the car in for the tire installation, I noticed that the brakes were making a noise. I specifically asked if the technician could take a look at the brakes. The lady who worked at the front assured me that they would take a look. After the technician dropped off the paperwork I asked her again about the brakes to which she replied (based off of the technician's report) that there was nothing wrong with the brakes. She reiterated that had the technician found any issues with the brakes they would have noted so in the report/receipt once they handed it off to her. Yesterday, my brake pedal started sinking and the brakes were not engaging fully while I was driving southbound on I-95. I had the car looked at and the technician found that the brake pads were completely worn out causing the calipers to break off that led to all the brake fluid draining out of the vehicle. With my Ford E-350 being a front-wheel-drive vehicle, the technician said that there is no way that the brake pads and the calipers in the REAR of the vehicle would have worn down to that point within a couple of weeks. Especially considering the fact that the car is driven only 2 times a week. I am not sure how much trust and respect should be given to an auto service center that can't even see that a brake pad is worn out. Furthermore, I trusted them with this diagnosis that could have ended up causing significant physical harm to myself and others. This is a church passenger vehicle that is used to carry sometimes as many as 11 passengers at a time. Luckily this problem occurred without any other passengers on-board. However, this could have become a very large catastrophe. Please BEWARE of this shop and beware of the work they do. Total: -2 stars (more if possible) (1 star) CONCLUSION: This shop has great reviews from other customers and this may have been a one-time anomaly. However, I felt that future customers should be made aware of this situation and should be able to make an informed decision as to all the positives and NEGATIVE aspects of this auto shop. While this is a service center that does Maryland State Inspections for safety, I want to call into question the thoroughness and validity of the work they do in inspecting vehicles. What should have ended up simply being a brake pad and rotor change ended up costing double because of caliper destruction. I hope that the management and ownership of this service center get a chance to review what happened and make the necessary changes to the work they do. This is the prime example of a service center haphazardly and negligently checking vehicles that put people's lives at risk. This should NEVER happen again.

Kerrie was very helpful in making me feel like a valued customer and was able to have my car looked at very quickly despite the long waits other mechanics had. The mechanic working on my car, Chris, was knowledgeable and I feel took extra care to make sure things were done right. I can't recommend this place enough. The prices were VERY reasonable and the work done was perfect. Thanks again for a great first experience. I will be back with any other car issues I have.

We have been relying on Bill for automotive repairs that my husband either doesn't have the tools,…read morespecific skills, and/or the time needed to do the work, for 10 years or so. In virtually every case, Bill has been able to accept our cars for repair in relatively short order. He has always taken the time to explain repair specifics related to parts ordering and costs. When specific parts were replaced, he typically retains the replaced/worn parts to show us the magnitude of the necessary repair. I trust Bill wholeheartedly, as my husband has done a fair amount of repair work himself, and he always agrees with Bill's assessment of the problem. On a personal side, from what we know of Bill, he is a man of good and honest character! When someone in the area is in need of a recommendation, Intensive Car Care always comes to mind.

Horrible!!! Bill is very rude, dishonest, and disrespectful. I don't usually right reviews like…read morethis, but I have never been treated like this in 40 years. I've also been a mechanic for over 25 years, so I know all about cars, truck, etc. I took a truck there that I had bought to get inspected. It was a stock Ford F-350 that the previous owner had put oversized mud tires on. I was told that the tires would not pass, but everything else was good. When I told him I would replace them with another set I was told he would not pass it. When we showed up to pay for it, and he was questioned about how to correct the problems he became very irate yelling, and screaming. I then advised him that it was fraud to charge for a repair/inspection with the intent of never finishing it. He then told us that because we were questioning him he would fail the vehicle for something else just to be a dick. When my brother suggested that we take our business elsewhere. I grabbed my keys, and he became even more violent got in my face pushing me, spiting on me, and threatened me..He then threatened to keep my truck, and locked us in the office. My brother, and I had to run by him, and flee out through the garage to get away. A sheriffs deputy had to be called to control him, and so I could get my vehicle. The 911 dispatcher advised us to go across the street for our safety. He also made some false statements to the deputy about what had happened. Thank goodness we had witnesses, about what happened. The deputy advised Bill that he could not detain us, or the vehicle, and that I could take my vehicle, and leave if I want. We also had to have him remain on, so that we could safely obtain my truck, and pay without any further aggression from Bill. I also had to contact the division of MSP (ASED) that controls the inspections to get them to make him pass the vehicle the next day. A phone call that he said he made, but couldn't get ahold of anyone. All this could have been avoided if Bill would have let us take the vehicle, remove the tires, and replace them with a proper set.(which we did anyway). I recommend that you stay far away for this place Bill is very dishonest, and will try to scam you out of your money without finishing the work. It is also very dirty, cramped, and not hardly any room to park. I'm sure Bill will lie, and say this didn't happen, however all the info in this review is true, and correct. It can be verified by numerous witnesses, the deputy, and 911 dispatch tapes.

I then took it to 3- services shops and none could fix the issue. I have been dealing w/ this problem for almost a year. When I took it to the different shops; one being a Chrysler/Dodge dealer, I was getting different stories as to what was wrong. The third service shop I took it to who could not fix or diagnose the issue, stated that I should try Jamie's Auto Repair-South. I met w/ Jamie and told him my problem and everything I have been through. He said I'll take a shot at the issue and let me know. His initial diagnosis was a bad clock spring which I already had replaced by the first service shop I went to. When Jamie tried a new clock spring from a Dodge Dealer it did not fix the problem. At this point he did not give up!! He continued on the hunt for the problem and finally determined the issue was w/ the Airbag Control Module(ACM). The module had a short inside and was the cause of the intermittent problem. Jamie then took it upon himself to find me a used ACM and installed it and the problem seems to have gone away. Now I get no error codes or Airbag light. Jamie is confident that the problem is solved and I am too. Time will tell the story. So what can I say? Well, I was close to getting rid of the truck b/c of this problem; but Jamie showed skill, tenacity, and true customer concern for my satisfaction. So the moral of the story is the other shops did not want to deal with my problem, but Jamie did and I truly appreciate his efforts. I highly recommend his shop for repairs especially tough head-scratchers which no one else can do or want to do!! Great job Jamie and your crew!!!
