He then stated that he is refusing to service my car.. for an oil change, nothing else.. because it's making a "noise" which I didn't hear anything out of the ordinary, I've had my car for 12 years. He said he won't change the oil cuz something else could be wrong with it and he didn't want me coming back and saying they did something to it. He spoke to me like a bully just because I was a women by myself. I had never seen this guy before so he must be newer since my last oil. change. I was so absolutely flabbergasted. Never has anyone there ever spoken to me in that way. He was so rude and condescending, definitely NOT the type of person you want working with the public. My husband just so happened to get his oil changed the next day at a different location and relayed the situation to them, they couldn't believe it either and said they were going to look into it. Whether they do or not makes no difference, as I will not be returning to the Elkton location again. As a follow up, I did take my car to my regular, local, reliable mechanic and he looked at it and could not find anything wrong, or hear any odd noise. Smh. The change of personnel has lost the Elkton location a customer.

We don't live close to here, so when our daughter's car broke down on I-95 during a weekend trip, we were desperate to find someone in the area to help. Meineke, specifically Scott, went out of his way to help get her safely towed to their shop. Then he helped us determine next steps when they figured out it was a major engine issue- he helped us get the car to a nearby dealer to get recall-covered repair completed. We are very grateful for Scott and Meineke getting us through a disastrous situation.

We had been 3 hours into a 3,000 mile road trip (began in NYC) and started breaking down on the interstate. We pulled off the next exit and yelped the nearest auto repair shop (Midas). Despite being busy with many other cars, they were VERY kind to squeeze us in. Not only did they diagnose the issues quickly, but they fixed it promptly and for a reasonable price. They also showed us everything under the hood, all the bad parts, and explained why they needed to be replaced... which, for me, was wonderful because I generally don't understand cars. Rather than simply having to take their word for it, they physically showed us every bad part in comparison to a good part. Unfortunately, we live in NYC, but if we were nearby this would be our new place. THANK YOU to everyone here. You saved our vacation and we were able to safely make the entire journey with no issues :)

The issue was not fixed. When I returned to the Elkton location for resolution, I was not provided a solution. Law enforcement was called, and I was asked to leave instead of being assisted. I was then directed to a second location at 3601 Miller Rd, Wilmington, DE to meet with a district manager. During that visit, I was told additional repairs could cost up to $2,244.76, depending on further parts or services. I declined and requested that the original issue be properly repaired without additional charges, as that was the purpose of the initial service. I was later informed that no further repairs would be performed on my vehicle. I am requesting a proper repair or a full refund for the work that was paid for but not completed. I have documentation and video evidence supporting this claim. Join me at ErsatzReality as I document the entire process.,
