I was in the process of moving from Chadds Ford, PA to Maryland, and ended up at T & D Automotive…read morefor my MD inspection, mostly because it was a convenient location. When I arrived for my inspection, I was greeted by David, I believe. (There are two guys who run it- Tony and David). Both were very nice and friendly. Since I was waiting for my car, they made sure I was comfortable. They have a TV, comfortable chairs, and a nice bathroom for people who wait. The inspection finished quickly, and unfortunately I needed to replace a pair of shocks. David took me back and showed me the parts that needed replacing, and explained to me what was wrong with them, which I really appreciated. He told me that I could get it repaired elsewhere, and he could reinspect the car, or I could get it repaired there. I chose to get it done there, and he called around to find the parts. He located one that could be at the shop for the next morning, and quoted me just under $400 for the repair. Since my car is a BMW, parts are normally expensive, and I'm pretty sure it would have been at least twice as expensive through a BMW dealer. I came back the next morning, and both Tony and David worked on the repair and got me out of there in about 45 minutes. Two thumbs up for making a failed inspection a good experience! If I lived closer, I would definitely make this my full-time car place. The owners are friendly, helpful, fair, and good at what they do. I'd highly recommend this place!

I have taken (2) vehicles to Next Generation, my work van and my Tahoe. Both times I took them from…read morea local Chevy dealership because the dealership was trying to rip me off. The first time I had my brakes checked in my work van because the brakes made a grinding noise and the van didn't slow down like it usually did. The dealership told me that the all the brake pads were completely worn away, the rotors needed to be replaced, and I had frozen calipers. All in all they were going to charge me over $900 for the repairs. I took the van to Next Generation to get a second opinion and they told me the only thing needed to be replaced was one set of rotors and all the brake pads for all 4 tires. I asked about the frozen caliper and they said that all 4 were fine. Saved me hundreds of dollars. Several months later I noticed that I had a screw in my Tahoe's tire. I headed to that dealership again for them to repair the tire and then also give me an oil change. An hour after I dropped it off I got a call saying that they couldn't repair the tire because of the location of the screw. Then he added that it wouldn't matter anyway, because my tire tread was "dangerously" low and I needed to replace all 4 tires. I couldn't afford to replace the tires but I also wanted a second opinion on the tire repair. I picked up my Tahoe and checked the tread myself at the dealership. Wasn't even close to 2/32". One of the shop guys came out that I had talked to when I dropped it off. I asked him about it and he stuck his fingers in the tread and said "feels like it's less than 2/32" to me." I did the penny test, it passed. I used a quarter, it passed. My tires had more than 4/32" of tread remaining. WELL OVER THAT. The dealership was trying to rip me off for another $900. Needless to say, I took it to Next Generation and they plugged my tire for a whole $16. No issues with the location. Didn't try to swindle me out of $900 on new tires that I didn't need. Bottom line is this, everyone is out to make a buck, most are doing it dishonestly by taking advantage of customers. I couldn't imagine how many folks that dealership has ripped off by lying to them about services and repairs that they don't need just to make a buck. Next Generation is the ONLY placed I have taken a vehicle for repairs and had an honest person look me in the eye and know that they were taking care of me. Beth and her husband have integrity and honesty and put the needs of the customer ahead of a few bucks. The guy at a dealership with slicked back hairs has values that aren't even in the same galaxy. I will never take one of my vehicles to anywhere other than Next Generation again.

The owner Waseem Abbas AKA "Shawn" sold me a Lexus 400h which had a preexisting faulty braking…read moresystem. Before I took delivery, there were warning lights on the dashboard that Shawn assured me were no problem and he would fix. Shawn had the safety inspection on the vehicle inspected using Maryland guidelines. Unbeknownst to me the ABS dashboard warning lights were cleared seemingly without any repairs. Within 15 minutes after I took delivery and driving home, all of the same ABS dashboard warning lights reappeared. I quickly contacted Shawn and he assured me "he stands behind his products sold". In the next few days the brakes stopped working completely. I had an unrelated auto facility inspect the vehicle and diagnostic error codes relevant to the ABS, TRACTION CONTROL, EMERGENCY BRAKE AND related mechanical problems were detected deeming this car unsafe to drive. I had the car towed by AAA back to Shawn for repair. Shawn refused to assist me with a loaner car and kept my car for 2 weeks waiting for parts. Shawn said he was doing me a favor spending $1,100 to replace the ABS pump because the car was sold as is. Never mind that he seemingly sold me an unsafe vehicle to begin with. I finally drive 3 hours again to pickup these vehicle under the impression the car is safe. Unfortunately within 15 minutes of driving the car home, the dashboard warning lights reappeared. I immediately contacted Shawn and he insisted the car is fine. I decided I needed a new unbiased Maryland safety inspection performed immediately since the car had been driven less than 500 miles from the original inspection. The safety inspection I obtained failed based on the hydraulic brakes. In addition I was informed by the inspector that the $1,100 Shawn said he spent had in fact been a used part that wasn't the proper ABS pump so the car now has further problems. Since that time I have returned the car to Shawn. I disputed the purchase as being fraudulent. I looked up Maryland business licenses for High Rated Auto online and found that High Rated Auto closed their business license on 1/23/19 and the business is not in good standing. I also learned that Shawn previously operated under another entity name of Next Cars Sales & Rentals. This business was also dissolved in March 2019 and is not in good standing with the State of Maryland. I plan to continue filing complaints with the Attorney General for the State of Maryland, Better Business Bureau, and take legal action if necessary to minimize the chances of this happening to another consumer.
