Art Du Vin is such a cute, low-key natural wine bar. I've lived downtown LBC for almost two years…read moreand somehow never noticed it before, but I ended up there for a date and it turned out to be the perfect Sunday afternoon vibe. It's a small, charming spot with a relaxed atmosphere. Just a heads up- there's no indoor seating, so everything is outdoors with a small patio setup. That said, when the weather is nice, it's actually ideal. It feels very laid back and intimate, like one of those hidden neighborhood gems you stumble upon. The employee working when we went was super friendly and welcoming, which always makes a place feel even better. The wine I tried was really good, you can definitely tell it's natural wine (in a good way!). They also have small bites available if you want to snack while you drink, though we didn't end up ordering food. Parking is street parking in the area, which wasn't too difficult to find when we went. Overall it was just a really pleasant experience. If you're looking for a casual place to enjoy a glass of natural wine outside on a nice day, this is definitely a spot worth checking out.

The fact that I've passed by this area so many times without noticing this little gem feels like a true tragedy. Though petite and easy to miss, this spot is something special. They specialize in natural wines, thoughtfully and selectively curated since they're not a winery themselves. The selection offers great variety, and because seating is limited, it's very much a first-come, first-served situation, arrive early if you want a seat. There's some indoor seating, with more available outside. The wine servers were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. They also host food vendors. There is a sushi spot right next door which is conveniently located next to the theater where you can score discounted bottles if you're catching a movie. Wines rotate as they sell out, so if you fall in love with one, do yourself a favor and grab a bottle before it's gone.

We came here on a Saturday right when they open at 1pm. Yuki was our server that day amd he was very welcoming sake expert. You and ask him what kind a sake you like ( from Dry, Sweet, Fruity or in Between) and he'll find you one. The cool part is that you can bring your own food, for us we picked up some poke and we ask Yuki to pair it some sake with it. Bedside that we did a few sake flight tasting which delicious and a few more full pour sake tasting. I even brought a few bottles home. Overall, Sake Secret is truly a gem, if you'll seeking to taste exquisite sake from all over Japan. I highly recommend getting them visit if you love sake. Until our next visit.

I really enjoyed my experience here as I was able to taste several sakes that had smooth, sweet, and fruity flavors. Greg, owner of Sake Secret, is very helpful and knowledgeable, and I learned a lot about sake during my visit. It was cool to hear about what makes sake different than other wine/spirits. A great day to come by is on Wednesdays from 4p-7p, where you can have a complimentary sake tasting. The cool thing is that this shop has different distributers visiting weekly, so every Wednesday is different. Cost for their regular sake tastings are reasonable and, if you have an interest in learning about sake, the experience and expertise they offer is a no-brainer.

Fast forward...I now have sealegs (which you don't need) so I booked a gondola to see the Naples Christmas lights to get a different view. The weekend before, friends and I walked the canal after the Belmont Shore Christmas Parade, so you can imagine the crowds of people going to see the Naples lights. The gondola is a much better way to see the lights. Booking online was simple. I received a confirmation email and in the email was what to expect. If you bring beverages, they provide a cooler/ice bucket with ice and cups. Connor was our gondolier and he was an absolute champ. He paddled through the canal so quickly that we had more time left on our cruise, so he took us out to the bay which was deserted, but peaceful. We had such a great time thanks to Connor! I highly recommend Gondola Getaway. Their staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. It's well worth the $267.50 (pre tip).
