Driving through the town to celebrate someone's big win at work. Found a local donut shop that has a fun selection of food. People were very helpful and great service. Found me on was a little rustic, but still cute and whimsical with the lonestar theme. Hopefully he'll share a few donuts for us to try but we'll see.

Lonestar Donuts - cookies & cream (I was so into my cake donut I forgot a picture)

We stopped by in the afternoon so the selection wasn't massive, but the service was extremely friendly. We walked out with a cookies & cream and a vanilla iced cake donut. We both LOVED our choices, truly one of the best cake donuts I've had. Wish I lived closer!

If you're a donut fan these are some of the better ones around. They have their own shop now that they moved out of the Italian restaurant in town. This is a much better environment for them preparing and serving. The variety of donuts is excellent. Many flavors that you probably know and love, as well as some unique ones. Unfortunately for me, most of the time they are out of my favorite basic glazed donut. Must be the most popular because they are always out no matter what time I arrive. If I'm lucky, they occasionally have them coming out of the donut maker fresh. I just have to wait an additional 5 minutes or so. My only complaint is that it's a bit chaotic, and not very smooth in terms of how they check people out. They have one terminal and the customers have to move back and forth between each other and the line in order to finish paying the bill. With my bad hip, I am not very happy with that system. Other than that the donuts are good always fresh in the morning. The place is clean, the service is friendly enough, and you will enjoy the donuts if you are a "donut fan.

Cookies & cream and Butterfingers donuts

Was bumming around Silverdale with the family when we noticed the sign for a donut shop and decided to pop in; hubby got the cookies n cream while I got the butterfinger donut. Our 5 year old got a vanilla frosted one with sprinkles (not pictured); we loved it! The almost airy dough and the frostings were delicious! I definitely will be back for more!

What a fun donut shop! I'm jealous of the folks who live over here in Silverdale. Walked in and there was already a line. By the time I got to the counter the line was already to the door. They had all the classics and some unique donuts too. Staff was really friendly with everyone. They were really enthusiastic about filling donut orders and customers were really happy to be there too. They have a couple of tables. Lots of free parking since they share a lot with other businesses. Really convenient too since they're near the freeway. Not sure if the owners are from Texas or visited Texas and decided to bring whatever they learned down there back up here to WA state. Either way, it's nice to know this place exists.

First off they are so polite and welcoming. They made more dog donuts for me. My brother brought me some of their donuts a few months ago, and someone from church shared some a few weeks before that. I finally made it over here myself last week. I liked what I tasted. I can back to grab a cinnamon sugar and try the guava. They had 4 dog donuts out but I needed ten and that accommodated me! Now that 5 star business. Location is clean, orderly, and well maintained. Busy parking lot depending on the time of day. Major plus is they stay open until 5:00 p.m. that is great for those of us who want a treat after work. I will definitely return.

Honestly did not know that this place existed, but recently saw a post on FB, so decided to give it a try. The morning crowd is usually quite big so we rolled in after noon on Sunday. The racks were pretty bare, but there were still a good variety to choose from. We wanted to sample a few different ones, and came home with a maple bacon donut, a maple bar, a butterfinger glazed donut, sprinkle donut and an apple fritter. The customer service is great and they have a variety of drinks to purchase and a nice area to sit and enjoy your purchase. Tee shirts are also available for sale as well. Personally, I really liked the glazed donut and the butterfinger one, the apple fritter was probably my least favorite. I would love to come back and sample others when the racks are full and they are hours old.

Donuts to share!!

I was pleasantly surprised. Donuts were well priced. The customer service was over the top. I had to buy donuts to share.

Fun and delicious donuts! They always have holiday inspired, and my hubby's favorite - apple fritters. Yum! Clean and pretty sitting area, and great staff. We love coming by when we are wanting a treat!

Well, well, well, there's a new donut in town. First and foremost, donuts are one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE foods. I adore them. If donuts could be the base of my recommended daily food pyramid, I would be the happiest gal in the world. I love a good donut. I've been hearing the buzz about Lone Star Donuts and felt it was my donut connoisseur's duty to pop on over to Silverdale to check them out. Glad I did. Where Lone Star is going to stand out from other shops in the area are their glazes and fillings. These donuts are a Saturday morning cartoon in dough form. The pinks are PINK and the pineapple is PINEAPPLE. There's nothing subtle about these flavors. It's a good thing that the donut itself is so very, neutral. It is simply a vessel for the toppings and fillings. Be sure to grab a cup of coffee or something to drink along with your deep-fried deliciousness, because these babies are SWEET. I ordered a maple donut and an apple fritter (my standards by which I measure all donuts), a pineapple filled and a lemon filled (both very nice with a decent filling to dough ratio) and a strawberry raised, for big D, who loves strawberry anything. He said it was tasty. A lot like a glass of Strawberry Nesquik. The staff is super friendly with doggie donuts (dognuts?) and donut holes for the youngest devotees. What a great addition to the neighborhood. Howdy pardners!

Pretty sure there is a smile behind that

Lost a 20 year loyal customer. I never leave reviews and it's a long one, but please stick with me…read moreas what I have to say comes after thoughtful consideration as a long time patron. I've been coming here since my son was born 20 years ago - when it was 'Monica's Bakery' - and it's always been stellar. Best tuna sandwich I've ever had. As my daughter grew up she loved the egg salad sandwich, and the whole family were big fans of the delicious cookies. The quiche was also fantastic. Everything WAS positively cravable. I'm so sad to report now that the new ownership of 'Old Town Kitchen' has officially taken over it's gone way down hill. No longer will you receive fresh-baked pillowy bread for your "sammy" nor can you purchase a delicious loaf of that same bread to take home. No longer will you find the exceptional baked goods you're accustomed to. There's no longer choice as to what's in your sandwich, no more "build your own", they're now only "pre-built". The bread looks impressive but is udderly underwhelming. Dry as a bone and unpleasant. IT'S A TOTAL DEAL BREAKER. There's now largely more bread than filling where the opposite used to be the rule. I actually felt the need to remove half of the bread in order for it to be edible. Had the bread been soft & fresh that would've been unnecessary. The filling recipes have changed too. The tuna filling was previously perfection and now it's very...meh. Also while I'm not averse to onions, I didn't need them or want them in my filling. No more are the tasty pickles that elevated the already amazing sandwiches. Now it's a bag of chips or a tiny, and I mean miniscule, side of cold pasta salad. It's like 3 bites worth. Also sadly very lackluster in flavor and texture. The cookies and baked goods were all just generic looking frosted things and none seemed unique or even particularly appealing. While change is inevitable, the hope for a beloved locale such as this would be at the least, the constant of quality. The new ownership has not only changed the name but sucked out the heart & soul of the place. Remodeling a building cannot compensate for food devoid of quality and great flavors. There's no 'cravability' here. We are so very disappointed that after loving a local business for 20 years it's been gutted. There nothing here worth returning for, therefore we will not be returning. I definitely cannot recommend The 'OTK' to anyone, least of all the local loyals who have come to rely on this establishment for consistent quality because sadly it no longer exists. What a shame :(

The bakery is located in the heart of Poulsbo, a charming Scandinavian-style town. There's usually a line, but we've been lucky during our visits and haven't had to wait too long. They offer a wide variety of freshly baked pastries, cakes, bread, and other sweet goods. We've tried several of their danishes and bundoughs, which were good, though some are bit on the sweeter side. Overall, we enjoyed our visits and the experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area!

Keeping an open mind that they offer a larger variety of pastries and goods I didn't try but my visit felt just average. While not overly impressed, I can appreciate a solid spot with fresh donuts and pastries managing high traffic. Line tends to be long but moves at a moderate speed, as the employees are open to chatting. Large Butterhorn - excessively sweet to a point where I felt sick of sugar because it's also pretty big. I personally would rather eat a fluffy donut because this felt more like a condensed block of sugar, but seems to be a favorite for others. Might just not be for me. Swedish Almond Pastry - while this was also super sweet, the almond flavor was able to pop out at times. Sliced almonds on top helped sprinkle some extra flavor but were ultimately consumed by the sweetness. A little flakier in texture which helped dissociate with the dense sugar block.
