Ambiance: There was both indoor and outdoor seating with tables, chairs, and benches. The outdoor area had fans, so it wasn't too hot, which was a nice touch. It was also really cool to see all the beer being brewed right there. They had a wide variety of options, which made choosing fun. Service: The service was great! We told the guy at the counter it was our first time, and he asked us what type of beer we usually like. He even let us try a sample before we made our choice, which was super helpful. Border Town: We ended up choosing this Mexican lager since we usually enjoy Dos Equis. I'd say it tasted even smoother than Dos! I honestly really enjoyed it, and the price was around $8 for a pint, which felt fair for the quality.

I…read morestrolled into the well-packed distillery, down a very nicely kept downtown type of area, and upon rolling to the back looking around, an employee noticed me and asked if I was with the wedding party. I'm in a powered wheelchair and the employee, Bobby, was nice enough to take me up a classy freight elevator to the second floor, where the reception was being held. It was a nice area, furnished with a lot of wood and lights. The reception had set up a nice buffet, and 200 drink tokens had been set aside for guests, although by the time I got there they had been used up. My girlfriend and I got a gin & tonic, and a vodka tonic, for about 11$ each, with both the gin, vodka, and tonics being brewed in house. They were very tasty, although maybe not 11$-tasty. Overall it was a lovely location for a wedding reception, the staff were helpful and friendly, and the drinks were good if just a tad pricey.

It's labeled a "whiskey" bar however I found their breadth of labels and age statements to be lacking. The tequila and mezcal selection was actually better overall, however please note they have decided to lean in hard on the clase azul train. Bar staff is professional and make a decent cocktail. They offer seasonal concoctions that all lean on the saccharine side but overall made well. Live music on the weekends is also a plus. I do wish they add a server or two to the room, the bar can get deep and having people stand in line to get a drink like this is some shot bar on north gate or beer line at Kyle field doesn't fit the vibe.

I decided to try the online ordering for the first time to hopefully make my life a bit easier. Mission accomplished! Order online was super easy and I decided to pick it up myself. I did end up buying a rare Japanese blended whiskey for a great price; and was housed in their "unicorn items" glass case, which made me feel extra special buying it. While there I got to meet the owner and her staff which where both very accommodating and kind. They even let me try a sample of the expensive whiskey I was checking out to begin with. I was very impressed by that. Most mom and pop liquor stores won't do that, and because they did that, they've earned themselves a new loyal customer. I'm big into supporting local businesses and while I won't be able to always afford shopping there, when I can, I'll go!
