They don't sell just honey! They have peanut butter, vinaigrettes, beer, wines, candies, soaps, tasting and pairing appetizers... I didn't know wine can be made from honey and that it's called mead. My lesson 101 was a pleasant experience. The winery shop was attractive enough that I would've purchased a bottle without even tasting it first. Our take-aways were satisfying. The flavors were nice, either warm or chilled. We're bound to return in Spring. I'd love to get their vinaigrettes. They sell honey shots in straws. Good for cold season. Wish I lived here anywhere near here to drink here all the time, but I had to settle for buying a few bottles instead. They have a great deal with 6 tastings of mead for $10 and includes a souvenir glass. Theyalso sell charcuterie boards, if you're feeling munchy. The shop has a cute gift area, with honey other bee- related products, and other goodies for sale. Dancing Bee Winery is located within the Walker Honey Farm shop. They focus on making honey wine, also known as mead. Walker Honey Farm started the winery in 2011 as a part of expanding their "Bees to You" philosophy. I was curious about the name, and learned that honey bee's actually "dance" as a means to communicate to the hive. For $10 you can enjoy five 1 oz pours of your choice. You also can keep the glass. The mead maker here is creative, and takes risks. Some of these risks really pay off. Some of the selections are like nothing I have tried before. I especially love the newest mead entitled, Burnt Pile. It tastes like a drinkable campfire, with a hint of s'more minus the chocolate. My favorite though is the holiday apple cyzer mead, that tastes like drinkable apple cobbler. They do have a couple of meads on draft. You can purchase a growler and bring it in to get refilled. They do have some typical dry grape wines on the menu. They are OK, but what they do great here is the mead. The staff and mead maker are incredibly proud of their bees, and extremely friendly. It is definitely worth a trip all the way out to Rogers, TX for a visit. read more

I officially love this place. Chelsea is a wine taster person who knows all the wines produced by the winery. She is very insightful about all the wines and also let my husband and I know about the the honey. She was really cool and informative about the everything around the area. I love the winery along with the main product they produce honey. Another customer came in while we were tasting and got her own bottle of honey refiled. FYI for those that love honey, honey from the bees helps with fighting off allergies which is what we were told. Love this place and can't wait to get back when it bigger. read more

This place is adorable! Staff is friendly. All the wine and cheese are delicious! $10 for a tasting of 6 wines including a glass to take home. Bottles range from $15-$20. A single glass is $6. The have an awesome variety of honey and other honey products! I definitely will be back. The only thing I would change is their hours! They should stay open later! read more

Tastings are 10 dollars for 5 samples 1oz a piece. As of 11-1-15, they try to justify it by giving you the glass with the tasting, I'd rather not keep the glass and have the tasting cheaper!! Wines are good if you like meads. Bottles are unique. read more

Dancing bee winery is so unique. I fell in love with their wines. My mom has been buying honey from them for many years but i never been to the winery til Mon. oct 2nd. I also bought the peanut butter with raw honey for my kids and its 3/4 gone. The store is so dainty and nice. If you haven't tried this place you need to. I will be back for the tour! Such a great experience!! We did a mead tasting, and it was fantastic. Unfortunately I cannot remember which ones we tasted, but we did try and buy a bottle of the burnpile bochet. If you don't typically like mead because it's too thick or sweet, then I recommend trying some of the sparkling meads or just ask for something lighter! read more

Exceeded my expectations, cannot say but good things about this winery. Some of the wines are on the sweet side but you can find some dry wines too. They have really good and interesting grape/honey/fruit combinations. The winery/wine bar is inside a Honey shop, so you can sit at the bar or you can sip wine while you do some shopping. My favorite part was sipping wine and looking the bees nesting in a beehive. Definitely will come back on a Saturday when they have pizza and food. On Sundays they have cold cuts and cheeses. Excellent service, bartenders are really knowledgeable of the history of the business that started in the 1930s and also they know to explain the different kinds of wines. The patio is really nice and big with tables, chairs, fans and a pergola. Recommend 100%! read more

First of all let me say that my husband and I are club members at Dancing Bee and pay with our hard earned money each quarter to keep that status! I previously would have given this business a 5 Star rating the last time we spent our money there until that Saturday. We are currently evaluating whether we will continue to do business with them. The following account of our experience on Saturday 10/28/17 is why! First of all when we walked in not a soul greeted us. Second the person with the short white hair behind the register at this point had still not greeted us and just looked at us like we were aliens. When I said we wanted to do a tasting she stuck her head in the back room and asked a person back there "are you going to do this tasting or do I have to"? The young lady who helped us at the tasting table was adequate although not overflowing with customer service skills. Thirdly once we finished the tasting and were going to look around and shop I asked the white haired lady a question and the tasting table young lady said something to her then white haired lady said very loudly "I can't do this with both of you talking to me"! We bought a few things then were checked out by the white haired lady and never, not one time, did she say thank you or have a good day or anything at all We were very disappointed with our 120 mile round trip and will possibly be canceling our membership. read more

Who knew there was a Winery out this way?? Not me! This is a pretty cool location. They have been located here for YEARS as a place who sells honey but within the last 2yrs they have been making and selling wine made from Meade. Now this is a small little store, so it's ideal for having a wine tasting for 2 people at a time. They can accomodate 4, but you won't be sitting at their bar top area. They do have ice cream made from wine so that's something I plan on tasting. The tasting is inside of their store, so there's plenty of stuff to buy, mostly made with honey. My husband & I made our first visit this afternoon. The store smells wonderful when you open the door and there is a nice variety of products. I was looking for interesting gifts for friends and would have loved to taste a few vintages. However, it would have been nice to have been acknowledged that we were even in the store. Love this place! We just keep coming back. They have the most wonderful mead ever, or honey wine and melomels, fruit honey wines and a few grape wines. The also have an extensive selection of honey products and honey on tap. I saw gallons of honey sold in the short time I was there. There's been a honey farm located here since 2001. For the last two years, a winery...or meadery...has been producing some great quality meads from local honey of the Walker Honey Farm. Owned by Janice and Clint Walker, they currently serve three varieties of meads from dry to traditional sweet. The semi-sweet mead is lightly oaked and quite delicious. In addition, they also make melomel (meads with fruit). You'll have quite a selection of fruit flavors to choose from raspberry to citrus, to apple and blackberry. All of their melomels are very good. Depending on the time of year, they also carry specialty meads. During this stop they had a cranberry/orange mead (Merry Texmas) which tasted similar to a classic Christmas cuvee. Also, there was a spiced apple mead call Mulled Harvest which was quite tasty and fitting for this time of year. If you want an extra special mead, then do try the Metheglin named The Beered One. Made with honey & hops, it pours and looks like wine, but smells and tastes like beer. It was new for us, but quite a nice surprise. So, give it a try! The grape wine lovers have not been left out at this place. They also make a Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, White Blend, and Chardonnay. For the grape wines, they currently purchase juices from other wineries to make their wine, because they are currently waiting on their vineyard to mature. On their plot, they have planted Black Spanish and Blanc du Bois which they hope to use as a source to make their own wines in the near future. Any mead lover would love this place for sure. And for grape wine lovers who just haven't developed a taste for mead, this place may be the one to finally try out. Honey varietals can change from year to year depending on the flowers bees visit. So check back yearly and you'll likely get something tasting different even with the same name...kind of like grapes! By the way, they do have some great tasting honey for sale too! This place makes a great stop to try out something new and likewise do some holiday shopping for gifts. read more
