This store is very organized, and fully stocked most of the time! The variety is endless and the assistance from their employees is priceless. On my recent visit, it was Will who was very "will"-ing to make sure I found what I was looking for. He even checked to make sure I didn't get any dented Guyaba nectar cans. Damn that's super polite! (Give him a raise!) Only ONCE have I been here on a holiday weekend, and I think the employees that time were exhausted, because I didn't get a greet in return from one of the guys. The younger cashier that day asked me three times if I was in the military, although I answered NO each time in different ways. That doesn't discount the overall and usual experience shopping at Spec's. Keep doing an outstanding job guys!

The selection is pretty chaotic and not kept up, there are some service stations that have better selections. Just a display. The manager approached the customer and engaged in a very negative tone and all but talking down. Three bottles of an item apparently is too much. Manager even threatened to take display down and put in back to limit purchases. 35 years living in Temple and countless purchases at this location and not once have I ever had an employee approach me and accuse me of being disrespectful without an ounce of proof.

The owner was motivated, polite, helpful, and super energetic.. You need to keep an eye out for it because at 70 mph it's easy to drive by.. That said, in the amount of time for it to register that you just drove by and ask yourself the question, "Was that a beer barn?" You will arrive at a side street for which to use for turning around.. According to the owner there will soon be taco trucks and hot off the smoker barbecue available.. Drive up beer AND barbecue!! So, if you plan on driving North on 35 and don't feel like sitting in the endless construction traffic, then exit I35 just South of Temple and pick up 317 North. Leads you North of Waco (and you can still get Kolaches off exit 353 at Czech House or Slovaceks)...
