We went to Lone Eagle Grille after a beautiful day of snowshoeing. The ambience was stunning! An upscale mountain lodge vibe that made us feel like we were tucked away in a cozy, chic retreat. The large windows offered a gorgeous view of the lake, which we enjoyed while sipping on our cocktails and relaxing. Service was solid. A great place to kick back and enjoy some downtime in a beautiful setting after a day on the slopes.

Brie appetizer and turkey sandwich were both good, but sandwich was a pain to eat because it was triple-layered. I mean, the stacks look good, but (1) it was difficult to pick up because some layers rotated off-center at the slightest touch, and (2) as SOON as I took a bite, half the contents squeezed out, so I just said "screw it" and ate with a fork and knife. Fries had good flavor but could've been crispier Waiters were very attentive and nice.

Date of Visit: 11/2/2024 The first weekend in November we visited Lake Tahoe and stayed at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe located in Incline Village. On the second night, we dined at the Lone Eagle Grille just next to the private beach by the lake. We walked in the day before for a dinner reservation at 5:30pm (the last day before the end of daylight saving), and the view was amazing and we got to see the golden hours. The Lone Eagle Grille was first opened in the winter of 1994 and is one of the most popular restaurants on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. The menu was very creative, with all the amazing steak, fire-grilled chops, seafood etc, and also innovative options of elk and bison. The windows facing the lake were two stories tall, with stone walls and two gigantic fireplaces. We were sat by the window for our reservation, a super nice plus for the dinner experience. The sunset time was about 6pm on the day, and we enjoyed an amazing view until the sky turned dark around 6:30pm. Monte Verde Old Fashioned $20 Husband got the old fashioned, which was made with Michter's Rye and Amaro. Decorated with orange, brandied cherries, and cardamom bitters. Pear Martini $20 I got the pear martini which was a little boozy but tasted very good. Made with Absolut Pear Vodka, brandy, lemon juice, apple puree, and with the Lemon Twist. On the main manu there were options of starters, soup, salads, mesquite-grilled options, and mains, and sides. The most popular options are the Mesquite-Grilled Steaks, chops and fish. The grill offers a rich and smoky flavor, with different sauces to match with different meat and seafood, was truly unique and amazing. Grilled Niman Ranch Pork Chop $58 I got the 12oz pork chop grilled medium, placed on top of the apple and tarragon compote, and with Calvadors Sauce at the bottom. The bone-in pork chop was very juicy and tender, with a great combination of apple and tarragon. Grilled Prime Ribeye $80 Husband got the 16oz medium rare ribeye with a big portabella mushroom on top, mixed with the mushroom jus and a spoon of Café de Paris butter on top. Pan-Roasted Asparagus $15 Highly recommend the ran-roasted asparagus with a spill of Beamaise in the middle. Asparagus smelled great and roasted to the point. A nice addition to the wood grilled steak and chop. Baked Tahoe The server surprised us with the Baked Tahoe dessert to celebrate our early Anniversary! This was a very nice dessert with torched meringue like burned marshmallow, and wrapped outside of the vanilla toffee ice cream with crunchy buckwheat cookie in the middle, and chocolate sauce on the bottom. The whole dessert tasted like S'more! Overall the service was amazing. The waiter told us he worked there for 14 years and gave us great recommendations, and gave us dessert to celebrate.

My hubby and I made reservations for dinner at this steakhouse located in North Lake Tahoe. We were early and our table wasn't ready so we decided to get a drink at the bar and head outside near the fire pit for a while. Lovely view of LT!! The hosts were professional and kind. We ordered two starters - onion soup and butternut squash salad and both were delicious. My husband ordered prime rib and I ordered the chicken. We shared a side of zucchini. We received a complimentary dessert from our waiter Billy. I recommend this steakhouse - all food items were delicious and the atmosphere was excellent.

Food was just okay. Service was great. The view was beautiful. Right across the street from the Hyatt hotel. Liked that we could just charge it to the room. Cocktails were ehhhh. Dessert was amazing & would come back just for their desserts!

Just Missed Lunch Service ! But all is good the appetizer menu was just as good and enough for a mid-afternoon snack. Going back to my old review 7 years ago to add what's changed. The service is excellent! Food came in quickly and we were even offered an extra pot of hot water for our tea. Love their Apple Toddy!! Strong bourbon with a cinnamon stick ...my only suggestion is to serve this in a mug or mule to keep the drink warm longer. French onion soup was cheesy and hearty with crusty croutons perfect for this weather. Glad we came by to check the Lobe Eagle Grill again. Cheers to 2025!

Absolutely first class dining all the way. We arrived early and watched the sunset in the large bar area. It's got a nice fireplace and lots of comfortable seating. You can walk outside and enjoy the beach or deck area. We were seated right on time, next to another fireplace which was perfect on a chilly evening. If you're vegetarian, be sure and ask for a menu, there are more items available than on the main menu. I had a delicious pappardelle with broccolini. It was a generous portion and I believe the pasta is home made. The wine was served to us by the sommelier, who gave us some tips for an upcoming wine tasting trip. As other reviewers have mentioned it is pricey, but in my opinion, well worth it.

Grilled Ōra King Salmon Fillet ($49)
    Rachel L.

The food is mediocre and very expensive but you're definitely paying for the ambiance too. I ordered the Grilled Ora King Salmon Fillet & while it was perfectly cooked & buttery, the maple glaze tasted far too syrupy. I'm not huge on sweets so I didn't enjoy a sweet salmon dish. The leek potato puree bed underneath was tasty though. I also tried a bite of the Wild Forest Mushroom Pappardelle and found it to be overly creamy & lacking flavor. The Angus Beef Filet Mignon was also not very tender or juicy, but I did also try the truffle mac and cheese which was tasty. Really strong truffle flavor which I liked. Complimentary birthday dessert was generous! Came during dinner/night and although it's too dark to see the water, the ambiance was so cozy! Service was attentive & friendly as well.

The BEST restaurant in Tahoe! Great food, great service, great ambiance, great food, and great drinks! Come in with a reservation if you're wanting a proper sit down OR pop in and dine at the bar! Menu somewhat rotates with a few staples (short ribs) and beautiful selection of red meats! I love the Elk loin! Parking is plenty and easy to maneuver! Favorite time to come is for sunset or lunch outside in the summer! My ONLY complaint is they implemented an extra fee in the summer to sit by the window - which feels obnoxious to me. For the price you're already paying, feels a bit tacky. Besides that, nothing but praise! I love Lone Eagle!

Beautifully decorated restaurant/steak house! It feels like you are inside a very fancy lodge or cabin which is the vibe we were looking for as we wanted a fancy night to end our ski trip to Lake Tahoe. The service was great! The sommelier stopped by to pour our wine and didn't try to upsell us to a more expensive bottle which we appreciated it. Instead she walked us through the bottle we ordered. I really dislike pushy sells people so I really enjoyed that. The food was expensive which we knew going in but it was delicious! The martini was well made and my steak was amazingly perfectly cooked with tons of flavors. Not pictured is the asparagus, au gratin potatoes which were outstanding. The deserts were delicious but the baked Tahoe was beautifully presented! Great "treat your self" restaurant!

Always measures up to expectations. Lone Eagle Grille is a waterfront restaurant that radiates an elevated log cabin feel. My party of three and I indulged in three courses (and a little bit of wine to wash it down). We started with the Mushroom Soup, followed by the Little Gem Caesar, next, the main dish of duck and sea bass, accompanied by the potato purée side (not pictured). We were served first with a warm assortment of bread (rosemary, sourdough, and molasses rolls) with a decadent butter. The bread was warm and fluffy, an excellent start to the meal. I miss the days where all restaurants served complimentary bread with the meal. I was pleased next to be met with a sommelier who poured the light but bold Goldeneye pinot. Mushroom Soup [4/5]- Although the soup had a delicate balance between the acid of the pickled mushrooms, the cream from the crème fraiche, and the spice, it fell short on earthiness and I was not too impressed by the soup. Little Gem Caesar [5/5]: The dressing perfectly coated the lettuce without overwhelming the freshness of the lettuce. The parmesan and prosciutto added a perfect amount of savory crunch. Duck [5/5]: Succulent and well paired with the pinot, the crunch and earthiness of the quinoa added extra texture and flavor depth to the overall dish. Additionally, the parsnip purée was creamy and delicious with the duck. Seabass [5/5] Buttery and perfectly cooked, this dish was a star. The outside was slightly crispy and the inside of the fish melts in your mouth. The sauce was perfectly balanced without overwhelming the dish. Potato Purée [5/5] Mashed potatoes are always a guilty pleasure and this dish was no exception. The potatoes paired perfectly with the duck and seabass. It was adorned with cream and green onions and was addicting. The flavor was delicate, allowing it to stand on its own, or as an accompaniment to the main dishes. I am sad to hear rumors that Lone Eagle Grille will soon be replaced by Nobu. I always enjoy this fine dining experience when I am in the Nevada area. I do find it to be a little absurd that they charge $30 for a window seat, but I did not purchase this because it was night time. It may be worth the while if you have a special occasion. At the end of the meal I was philled (filled). I would recommend Lone Eagle Grille to anyone looking for a fine dining experience in the Nevada Area.

Just finished Sunday brunch at Lone Eagle Grille before we drive back to SF - great recommendation from my friend. Amazing ambience with mesmerizing lake view. It's a place where you want to hangout when the sun is out as you can't take your eyes away from the lake view with snowy mountains as the backdrop. It's picture perfect settings! Now let's talk about food and service as it's a restaurant after all. All the staff are friendly and courteous. 5/5 for service. It's a fixed menu for Sunday brunch. $70 per person. I got the fried chicken waffle. Hubby and most of my friends got the steak with king crab legs. One of my friends got the egg benedict. Everyone enjoy their food. I boxed most of my chicken waffle home as I am already 70% full after the pastries, fruit, and cheese starters. After brunch, we walked around the beach behind the restaurant and took a bunch of epic photos. Two thumbs up and we will be back for sure when we are in the neighborhood.

After finally arriving to Lake Tahoe we wanted to look for Food and so because we saw this place as a recommendation, we decided to stop in and see if the recommendation was a good or bad one. As we pulled in we could tell that this was going to be a great spot to eat at because it was busy and there were lots of people in line waiting to order food. After getting to the register I ordered the Breakfast Burrito and my wife ordered the Egg Muffin. The thing is that when you order the food, they ask you what Protein you want to put into it and so you have a choice of a couple of different items because the Breakfast item that you order wont come included with it. So I chose Ham and so did my wife for her Egg Muffin. So we both ordered Coffee to drink at the register and they handed us the cups. Went to the Coffee station and after getting there you have the option of either choosing Half & Half with Sugar or you could just take Simple Syrup and put that into your Coffee instead. After sitting down at our table, let me tell you that the place was decorated very beautiful inside but we decided to find a table closer to the outside since was already starting to be a beautiful day. After about 5 minutes the waitress came to the table with our food and to my amazement I stated "Wow, that was quick!" The Waitress said "Yeah, our Cooks are Turning and Burning the food today" Which at my delight the bite into my Breakfast burrito was great. We also ordered a side of Potatoes and while I'm not a big fan of Green Peppers, the Potatoes were soft and very delicious as well. I poured Ketchup on them to finish the topping and let me tell you they were fresh and very good as well. I took a sip of my Coffee and while it wasnt Hot, but it was warm I told the waitress about it and she brought over a cup of Hot Coffee. I then put Half & Half into it with the Simple Syrup again and AGAIN, the Coffee was wonderful. Overall this place simply deserves a 5 but I wish I had the opportunity to give it more. Thank you Tunnel Creek for such a wonderful experience. We went for the Fondue Experience for 2. It came with 2 glasses of champagne, A soup or salad for each person. I had soup, tomato bisque. And he had the salad. That bisque was amazing, fresh cracked black pepper was perfect added on it. Salad with blue cheese. It was very good also. Next was our plate for 2. We each had 3 large pieces of tenderloin 3 shrimp 3 slices of chicken breast 1 meatball and 1 bacon wrapped date (Yummm) Assorted veggies. Broccoli, yellow and zucchini squash, broccoli, mushrooms and bell peppers. Since we chose the oil for cooking, it also came with tempura batter. I loved that!! It ends with chocolate fondu with fruits and pound cake. We opted to have that one to go. It was allot of food, a fun date night experience for sure. We will be going back to try other meals in the future. PS, I totally did not get a picture for the chocolate since it was packaged to go.
