We dined once again recently with guests who were visiting from out of town. And, once again, Bite did not disappoint. A few additional thoughts... - The crafted cocktails are very interesting, but on the small side. - Our server recommended that we think about needing to order two dishes per person, but we found that 6 dishes for the 4 of us were plenty. - The food, once again, was very tasty. Our favorites this time were the Ricotta Gnuddi, Grilled Halibut, Filet Mignon, and the Pork Baby Back Ribs. - The vibe and fact that the dishes are brought out to the table slowly and incrementally makes the entire dining experience especially social/enjoyable.
I made a last-minute 5:00 PM reservation, and the restaurant was already buzzing and filling up quickly by the time I arrived. The interior is clean, warm, and cozy. Every dish was on point: the burrata was wonderfully fresh, the lamb chops were tender and juicy, and the halibut was cooked to perfection.
A cute tapas place where we least expected for one to exist . Not a classic Spanish place but the food was great and the service was solid . We ordered few plates : the beef sliders were very good and the meat was yummy , the farro dish was also yummy and original , the burrata was fresh and tasty (wish there were some more of the little toasts ) and the mac n cheese was pretty good as well ! I do recommend it as nice place for dinner if you're in the incline village vicinity
We came in here on a bit of a whim. We heard you needed a reservation but we didn't have one. Luckily, the bar had great vibes and there were seats open for us two. You definitely need reservations though, we heard a good amount of people being turned away that didn't have reservations. Everything was great here - the staff were kind and the food was incredible. It's tapas style so we ordered the Brussels sprouts, burrata, and filet. All three were great but the Brussels sprouts stole the show. I can't wait for us to come up and visit again.
I've driven by here many times and always wondered what was inside. I was pleasantly surprised to find a huge and elevated restaurant space. Our server was very attentive and helpful in ordering for a large group. Everything was tasty and they had something for everyone
Nice vibe as you walk into the space! Friendly and attentive service! Menu is full of delicious choices to tempt all appetites. We enjoyed the fried chicken sliders, Brussels sprouts and cauliflower (so good), the ahi bites were outstanding...we had room for dessert so we had to get the pot of chocolate! We will be back!
What a lovely place for a lovely date night of tapas. Just the right amount for two. The food is flavorful and the drinks were delicious. Don't skip on dessert either!

It does get busy, so highly recommend making reservations My favorites: -Scallops (red Thai curry sauce brings a smooth texture, and kimchi provides a sharp acidic texture to the dish. It creates a delightful fusion of flavor) -roasted beets and carrots -local kombucha (love that it comes in a wine glass!) -Jicama wraps (vegan): this used to be my favorite. I've been finding myself finding the faux meat to be dry recently If there's only one advice I can give, they can improve on their dessert
This is my favorite restaurant in Incline! Great cocktails and great food, especially ahi slider! When my friends told me about ahi slider I wasn't up for it because ahi and slider doesn't sound good together but boy it's so delicious, from the soft bun to yummy sauce, great cut of tuna, all together it's like a dream come true!! And service is good but maybe because my friend knows everybody there. I will definitely have another meal or snack here again and I'd like to try another cocktails as well!!
It's been a few years since we visited Bite, not because the food or service were lacking but because it tends to attract a lot of tourists and there were other, less-crowded options nearby. Now with once-neighboring Fredrick's shuttered (R.I.P.), Bite has little competition in the immediate vicinity. On a quiet Saturday afternoon, we decided to have an early supper at the bar complete with our usual go-tos: deviled eggs, bacon-wrapped-and-cheese-stuffed dates, and fries. We also tried the chicken sliders for the first time, which didn't disappoint even my picky red-meat-obsessed hubby. Everything came out quickly and was as good as we remember. I love the size and texture of the limp shoestring fries; though the seasoning was a little strong, the accompanying aioli was great. Bartended Ben, who has been here from the very beginning, took care of our cocktail and wine needs. I tried the gin cocktail with lime, and hubby had the mezcal and later switched to bourbon. All the cocktails are hand crafted before your eyes and delicious. It's nice to see this small strip-mall space evolve over the last decade or so. The ceiling soundproofing has done wonders for the acoustics in the uncarpeted bar area. While the simple, minimalist Tahoe decor hasn't changed much, it's comforting to come back to a place and instantly be transported back to the memories made several years ago. It is also nice to find yourself at a bar where strangers and neighbors alike can chat and compare dishes. If you go, arrive early to beat the crowds.

The tapas were perfectly portioned, and we left completely satisfied. Our favorite dish was definitely the lobster bites--so good! We also tried the fries (crispy and classic), lobster sliders, halibut tacos, and grilled prawns with veggies. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. Service was just okay this time, but it seemed like they were pretty busy, so that might have been a factor. I definitely recommend making a reservation if you're planning to come during the dinner rush.
We arrived earlier than our 8 pm reservation. We'd hoped we could get in earlier but knew it might not happen. A waitress made note of it then promptly offered to put in a bar order. We enjoyed a drink and waited about 20 minutes. Everyone kept checking on us and were super friendly. Once sat in the main dining (recommend as bar area is noisy). We enjoyed our dinner. Star was always attentive and our waitress very helpful and wiling to make adjustments to our plant based wyw of life. The Jicama wraps BLEW us way. Like I am STILL DREAMING ABOUT THEM. Almost ordered for dessert. Rivals any meat tacos! We also enjoyed the Shrimp over slaw, the Scallops and the Beets and Carrots. 3 shared tapas was enough for me. Hubby says 4. They are big portions! They were nice to put a candle in an ice cream cookie dessert apart from the dessert we ordered. This place was a gem, well run (owner was there helping in every aspect), and the food and service stellar. I will only be able to keep dreaming of those Jicama Tacos, sadly we departed the area soon after. m
During our weekend stay in the Lake Tahoe area this was my favorite place that we visited for a meal! I was super impressed with the whole experience - service, food, ambiance, everything! The food was absolutely fantastic, everything was so flavourful and we also didn't have to way long for everything to come out. It's a tapas restaurant so everything came out as prepared so be aware of that if you're not familiar with tapas. Myself and my husband shared 4 plates and that was plenty for 2 people but if you're unsure of what to choose our server was very warm and friendly and was able to answer any questions we had. I honestly can't say enough positive things about this place. Make sure to make a reservation on their website if you're looking to visit this place!
Reservations are definitely a must here, as was on display the Friday night we went when the place was completely packed, including the first-come, first-served bar area. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, and she did a great job walking us through the day's specials as well as some of her favorite picks. I started with the In Crowd cocktail and really enjoyed it. The coconut, basil, and bitters balanced beautifully with the gin, making for a super refreshing drink that felt especially perfect for spring or summer weather. We followed our server's advice and ordered four items, two larger plates and two starters, and everything was delicious. Here's the breakdown: Trout Dip: Fantastic smoky, fishy flavor in all the right ways, served with crostinis. The only small nitpick was that the crostinis were overdone for my taste and shattered loudly when bitten into. Grilled Prawns: Super meaty and seasoned and sauced perfectly, with a bed of slaw that balanced the dish nicely. Scallops: Seared to perfection and in an addicting red Thai curry sauce. I was intrigued by the combo of kimchi, grits, and curry and have to say that it somehow blends amazingly well. Lamb Chops: Cooked to a perfect medium rare, expertly seasoned, with little gaminess and a cooling yogurt sauce that really brought the dish together. All in all, it was a fantastic meal and easy to see why this place is such a favorite among both locals and tourists. The food, the drinks, and the service all come together to make this a great option for any occasion from a casual night out (us) to celebrating something memorable like a graduation (several were happening while we were there). read more
Bite is one of our go to restaurants in the area. We love the tapa style dishes. We always order the arugula salad. The dressing is light and complements the dish nicely. The stuffed Spanish piquillo peppers went well with the salad. Our last three dishes were the ribs, grilled prawns and the ricotta gnuddi. The ribs fell off the bone, which I consider perfect, without being overcooked. The grilled prawns were good but we didn't care for the slaw that came with it. Another fav was the gnuddi. We were pretty happy with our dishes. The server was attentive and explained several dishes. It is always a good idea to make a reservation, especially on the weekends and busy seasons. They have a bar, high tops and a regular dining area but keep in mind the place isn't huge. read more
Decent spot - much nicer inside than expected. Service was prompt and friendly and I was excited to see some mocktails on the menu. We were going to make a reservation but a credit card was required - that felt excessive for a reservation on a Wednesday night so we risked it and just showed up. We were early (5:30) so we got seated right away. We got a variety of appetizers after my mocktails (very gingery, yum!). The ribs had a great sauce but were overcooked a bit. The burrata was nice but crostini was so hard I thought it might tear up my mouth. Gnuddi was tasty but very oily. Great ambience and perfect for a wine drinker - extensive list. We would bring family or friends there for a night classy night out, but it wasn't overwhelmingly amazing to us. read more

Bite restaurant is a tapas restuarant with nice decor and tasty (albiet pricy) menu options. As soon as we walked in, we could tell time and energy had been put into the decor and design, which contained several pretty wood pieces. My party of three had the following food items: ahi tuna sliders (5/5; really delicous, the sauce on this dish really brought the flavors together beautifully), lobster sliders (4/5; nice pieces of lobster claw, but could have used a sauce. It was somewhat bland in flavor), spicy ahi tuna tartare (3.5/5; the tuna had nice flavor but wasn't anything spectacular. It almost felt as though the chef didn't fully commit to making spicy tuna on crispy rice as the rice was slightly hard but not fried, so the texture contrast was missing), scallops (5/5; really delicious! This dish came with grits and had a sauce that reminded me of Tom Kha Gai; overall, a really beautiful combination but sadly the dish was only luke warm), beef carpaccio (5/5; quite good! The best carpaccio I've had in a while), and lamb shank (5/5; very nicely cooked with a tasty sauce and somewhat decent portion). I had the Dire Wolf cocktail, which was nice but nothing particularly memorable. Sadly, my mother did not enjoy their wine selection, but the waitress was very accommodating and clearly tried to find a beverage my mother would enjoy. Overall, Bite has very good quality and tasty food, but all of their tapas (small plates) are priced the same as any other fine dining entree and the drinks were a bit disappointing, so I'm not sure I'd come again. read more
I enjoyed everything I had for dinner! We walked in at around 5:00 pm on Wednesday night without reservation and got seated right away. Little do we know, this place filled up completely by 6:00 pm and people usually make reservation in advance. We got lucky! I love Tapas style restaurants because I like variety. I like to try everything but I can only eat so much in one meal. Tapas portion is perfect for me. We got five dishes to share between the two of us and it was more than enough. MEDJOOL DATES - wrapped in bacon, blue cheese and honey. I've never had this before and it was interestingly good. GRILLED ASPARAGUS - nicely grilled, good portion and the ginger white miso vinaigrette will make you want to lick the plate clean! SCALLOPS - red thai curry sauce, house made kimchi and grits. I did not expect the combination of these four things can taste this amazing! The kimchi was such a nice touch. My favorite and must order! DUCK CONFIT TACOS - this was a special. I love duck and hoisan sauce. It was delicious. HOUSE CUT FRIES - house spice blend. The harissa aioli sauce was so good and fries was perfectly fried. I had a nice glass of pinot noir and my friend had a beer. Both great! They have a list of fun cocktails and good wine selection. The large bar area is kind of the center of the restaurant when you walk it. Dim lighting and intimate setting. Great service and atmosphere. Highly recommended. read more
Fine dining with variety and hospitable service. Located in an inconspicuous strip, Bite Tapas is a must when in the Tahoe area. We started with a libation each, the smoke show, spritz is how we do it, and the non alcoholic hip to be square. Each drink was delicious and refreshing after a day of snowshoeing. Asparagus [5/5] warm ginger flavor, perfectly charred Gnuddi [5/5] classic fall flavors , gnuddi was made perfect; not overworked, very soft and airy. Ahi Slider [5/5] Fresh and delicate flavors that were complimentary of each other Carpaccio [5/5] Fresh, peppery, zesty. Scallops [4/5] Beautiful curry sauce but the cold kimchi disrupted the warmth of the sauce and scallops. Chicken Slider [3/5] A safe choice, nothing special. The buttery bun was the front flavor Dates[5/5] Perfect balance of savory and sweet Stuffed Peppers [5/5] A MUST GET. Pepper flavor was not overwhelming because skin was removed. Cheese was paired perfectly! Although the ambiance of the restaurant is dimly lit and socially oriented, we were able to finish our meal within an hour due to the attentive staff. Make a reservation! I can't stress this enough, this place gets packed and it is small, so to guarantee yourself a seat make a reservation on their website online. It's very user-friendly. I did make a reservation and was seated immediately. There were other people waiting for tables and the only option was the bar. Their food and wine selection is great. Portions are shareable, but they all are on the smaller side. I love that it's not a lot of food , so you can try multiple things on the menu in one seating. They do have a few vegan friendly options, for example... you can order the brussels sprouts with cauliflower and just ask them for no Parmesan. I enjoyed a meal with friends and the service was fast, the food came out quick and was bursting with flavor. The Brussel sprouts and cauliflower are a earthy delight. Not overly seasoned. The beats with carrots are sweet and tangy. Definitely a different taste and tantalizing on the tongue. The highlight of our meal, other than the wonderful wine was the jicama tacos we ordered a second plate to share. This vegan friendly option was outstanding. The combination of a light jicama shell with crunchy walnuts that were well seasoned, you could taste. The cumin was outstanding. Every bite was full of tons of flavor, my only suggestion would be to add an option for some hot sauce. The crunch from the shell, the zest from some lime, you could taste every element within this amazing healthy taco. Thanks for the great service, good vibes and fantastic food. High quality tapas with a unique and diverse culinary experience. The staff were kind and knowledgeable about the food and pairings. It's rather upscale and fine dining. I don't think that men need to wear a suit. Business casual was fine for happy hour. I wore a polo and slacks and didn't feel out of place. read more

I really enjoyed our dinner here! Reservations are a must, we tried walking in the first night and the wait (if available) is forever. So I went online and took one of the few reservations they had left for the following night. As soon as you enter you walk into a huge bar. Even though it seems dim and slightly fancy, they were kid friendly and had crayons ready for my kid and there were quite a few families dining there What makes this place really good is imagine American food served in small portions tapas style. You get to try a little bit of everything and not be stuffed. The menu ranges from simple traditional items like mac and cheese to ahi sliders which I thought were the best. Everything else in between was tasty, we had no leftovers. . read more
Bite is a must-go anytime I visit Incline Village. There's a few dishes that I always get, and then some new ones I'm always looking to try. I love both the Burrata and the Medjool Dates; and can't go here without ordering those items. Both are a great combination of deep flavors and textures. I can't recommend these enough. I quite enjoyed the halibut tacos, the fish was very fresh and tasty. Similar with the yellowfish tartare--refreshing and delicious. The fries (not pictured) were very crispy and well-seasoned, but we also got a lot of smaller bits that were harder to eat. The asparagus was also very good, with a creamy and buttery sauce. I say that as someone who doesn't always like asparagus. I also liked the ricotta gnuddi a lot--it had a great soft and chewy texture, quite similar to gnocchi if you're unfamiliar with gnuddi. The stuffed piquillo peppers were very unique, but delicious as well! Creamy cheese with great flavors and textures. And the mac n cheese was good, but not great by any means. I wish the cheese was creamier, and I'm a huge fan of this type of noodle for mac n cheese. They can definitely get crowded, and the reservations fill up quickly, especially on the weekends. But the service is great, and the food is even better. I highly recommend stopping by Bite! read more

We came here to meet friends and the ambience was good. The portion was small and designed for sharing. The highlight for me was the lamb chops and chocolate mouse dessert. They have a wide selection of wine and cocktails. Will come back in the future! read more

I see that reservations are booked for early Friday evening... do you still take walk ins? Also, do you serve to go?
I'm sure they will let you in if they can squeeze you in. But it's not super big. I'm sure they will serve to go. But I think it's better if you can eat there. Some of the dishes just work better eaten immediately. Tasty place, though.
