I came here for lunch with a big group and they were very accommodating and helped set up two tables for us. We were seated on the outside patio and the staff were all friendly. I decided to order the Ahi Tuna Sandwich, which was a tasty sandwich with seared ahi tuna. The order comes with fries and the portions were great! The food also came out in a timely manner, some dishes took longer than others, but that is to be expected. This was one of the restaurants our airbnb hosts recommended to check out during our stay in Tahoe and it did not disappoint! There's plenty of parking around and it's a quaint little restaurant right off the Main Street. We wanted something that was family friendly and this fit the bill! They have high chairs and a kids menu with crayons to draw for the kiddos. We ordered them the grilled cheese and the Mac and cheese as there weren't too many options. There isn't much of a variety for the kids. I took out 1 star because I asked for veggies on the side instead of French fries or mashed potatoes and they didn't have any. So the only sides they have are French fries or mashed potatoes... which the kids love because it's CARBS (who wouldn't?!) but man it would be great to include some veggies like steamed broccoli for the kids!! We ordered the artichoke appetizer and burgers for us and gave them some veggies from our plates. The burgers were decent, nothing out of the ordinary. They are VERY generous with their fries!! Service was a bit slow but very understandable as they seemed to be understaffed. I did appreciate our server coming to check in on us if we needed anything! The poor guy felt bad about our food taking longer and he was sweet and even gave our kids an extra juice. Really nice service!!! One thing to note is that this place is on the small side, especially if you're a group of 5 like us. I actually called in advance to reserve and we got lucky with one table perfect for our family. So I'd recommend calling in advance! All in all, this is a nice place to stop for lunch if you're in the area and it is a good kid friendly place! They have a new chef and the food is fantastic!!! Went there last night with our family. The menu is smaller than before, but everything looks amazing. The cornbread pancakes with honey were spectacular, the Ahi tuna sandwich was incredible, the pork loin was delicious and the carrot bisque soup was superb. So was the crispy chicken on the salad. We have been going to Austin's for about 3yrs. They serve a dish called Chicken fried chicken. Well today we found out Austin's is soon to be named Paxtons and has a new owner. The new owner is the chef and was also the chef at Lone Eagle Grill. We met Chef Cory and our server Pete. Two of the nicest people you'll meet! Restaurant was cozy and had a good vibe! Chef Cory and Pete explained how they still have dishes from the old menu that customers enjoyed and some of Chef Cory's new dishes. The dish he served me and my wife was off the charts!! He added his touch to the dish, we have enjoyed for 3yrs and made it even more amazing! We also had his Texas Chilli meat no beans. It was wonderful! Also had a great house salad! Under new management! It's been awhile since I last ate here so I figured it was time. The menu has been reduced but kept some core favorites. The quality has increased. The weather was nice, so we sat outside. We got to try the bbq quail and it was incredible. The tomato and stone fruit salad was light and delicate. Perfect starter size. The trout (my entree) was perfectly cooked. My friend ordered the meatloaf (a generous portion) and said it was so good. Never got to try it - he ate the whole thing! TLDR: Cute cafe in Incline Village with large portions, really tasty food, and INCREDIBLE fries. If you're a fry snob, TRY THESE. FOOD: I had the chicken fried chicken sandwich (4/5). Huge fried chicken sandwich on Dutch crunch bread. I had a big appetite but still could only eat half the sandwich in one sitting. I usually love dutch crunch but I thought the crunch part of the bread was a little soggy / wasn't great. The sandwich itself was nice but nothing special. The sandwich came with a massive serving of fries (5/5) that were so crispy and packed with flavor. If you order the fries on their own, they come out in a huge bucket. I can't stop thinking about these fries.... We also ordered the meatloaf (4.5/5), which was tasty and well-seasoned. I only tried a bite of this but thought it was great. SERVICE: We had a really nice waitress and she attentively came to refill water and make sure we were doing well. She did forget one of our items but it wasn't a big deal and she quickly brought it out when we brought it up. ENVIRONMENT / AMBIANCE: We had a large group of ~10 people and while they couldn't accommodate us all at one outdoor table, they let us take over two tables next to each other on the outdoor patio. They did have a big enough table indoors, but because the weather was so nice, we wanted to sit outside. They have a wonderful outdoor space with plenty of tables that can fit 4-6 people each, and the environment feels calm and outdoorsy due to all the plants and trees and forest animals (mostly these beautiful birds that would flit around). read more

First and foremost,Austin's was a favorite restaurant of ours prior to the Brimm's selling. The cornbread was a real favorite,. We went there today for lunch after a 1 1/2 year hiatus. It took 30 minutes to be served. The Burger was way over cooked. The chicken sandwich was simply a breast with bbq sauce on it. Extreme minimal effort in the kitchen to produce a tasty treat. The buttermilk fries is a big bowl of fries w/ sauce. They do warn you upon ordering. They do taste good though; battered and crispy and flavored nicely. Definitely recommend getting the loaded version, otherwise it's just a lot of fries. Fried chicken salad is best of both world. You get their famous fried chicken chopped up so you won't have to deal with bones. And you get to not feel guilty by eating leaves. Burger is big and comes with a lot of fries. Fiesta chicken is pretty good too. Tilapia is the most expensive out of our order but also the smallest serving. All the food is pretty solid. They don't recognize the yelp check in offer. The workers look international and maybe they don't know yelp. But the service is friendly and fast. This restaurant is located in incline village, so it's a good option if you're staying in the north area. They also have other trendy/hip-looking restaurants right next door, same parking area. read more

Quick update.. Still awesome! Ordered the Chicken Wings, best ever, 5 stars! I love breading they put on everything. It was just perfect on the wings. They tossed in a good amount of Frank's hot sauce. I like my wings served with a good thick ranch that with hold on to the wings while you eat, thin ranch just runs all over. Their ranch was perfectly thick, great for eating wing I recommend anything chicken fried (chicken or steak) they know what they're doing. You can get it on a sandwich or dinner entree, both awesome.
