This man came out of now and helped me He helped me load, unload and even followed me a few blocks to help bring it inside for me. This man was fast, very respectful and didn't accept my payment. Moved my house. Movers were shockingly slow (e.g., five hours to pack a small kitchen), consistently late, did not finish the job in time, and when I receive my belongings to unpack, it was chaos. Mislabeled box, broken items, misplace items, and more. They labeled my bedroom sheets and pillows as "garage". Having dealt with many movers, this was a new low. read more

So far we had Gonzalo, Lourdes, and Roberto pack up our 3 bedroom house on base. I was surprised that it was only three people but they were amazing and packed our whole house up quickly and efficiently. They had excellent communication and friendliness. I never once felt that any of our household goods were not in good hands. I hope the rest of the move goes as smoothly as the packing did. Will update with more after the move is complete! I would rate this move 0 stars if I could!!! The only good thing and I literally mean the one and only good thing was they were on time. We asked them numerous times to pack our gym equipment better to prevent metal from touching metal and plates from being damaged. They did not, so when our stuff arrived the bars had gashes in them, the plates somehow had paint missing and gashes in them as well. We had a large 9 drawer dresser made of real wood, that should not have been taken apart and somehow after watching them pack it up in one piece, it arrived in TWO! How is that possible if we watched you wrap it and load it up in one piece? They lost a box that was packed up and loaded, how is that possible you ask? Well let me tell you, it's because after leaving our home with our items that were sealed up, they reopened the crates!! What's the point of us watching you load and secure our stuff if you're just going to open it when you leave. Now, we are filing claims to be reimbursed for their negligence and it's a crap show. Moving is already stressful, but that's doubled when your stuff arrives damaged like you knew it would because they didn't care enough to use more brown packing paper or listen when you voiced concerns. If you can avoid using them, do so. read more

Lompoc Van and Storage did a great job of moving our many, many household items, including many, many fragile pieces of invaluable china. Nothing was broken or even scratched. The crew who picked up our furniture, etc., were super efficient and most courteous and helpful. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the whole moving process. They deserve a grade of A+. read more

We have utilised this company 3 times recently more than your average I'd guess. We've had items in storage we had them move things for us 3 times. Everything had been for the most part great. The office staff gave always been very helpful. The guys who load and unload our belongings have been nothing but courteous and professional and assisting us as much as they could. My only issue would be with the packers I've seen and done a lot of moving and I had to keep telling them how to pack my stuff which annoyed me. One packer was more concerned about saving me money by using less packing materials than packing it well. The best packer was a young women who just graduated high school. Would I use this company again? Yes, and I would still insist on things being wrapped and packed my way! As I already said the loaders and unloaders were fabulous as was the office staff. read more

Had a really bad experience after everything started. The quoting and scheduling was fine, fast and very easy to work with. However it was all downhill after that. Underestimated the moving job, left my new residence looking like a hoarders episode. The unpacking service is a joke, unless you get this "white glove" service that was never offered to me, only spoken of after the fact. They didn't even pack everything. Left cabinets and items sprinkled throughout the place. Left my patio furniture. While I'm grateful that they were able to schedule something so last minute, they executed the job absolutely horribly. I would not recommend them to anyone I know. read more

I gave them 1 star because there was nothing lower. If you are thinking of using this company, don't do it. My daughter had a military move and they broke her couch, took her refrigerator apart and the pieces to put back together are missing. The ripped apart my grandson's bed by ripping out the screws. They were to lazy to unscrew them. They took apart a tv and the pieces for that are also missing. The movers who delivered the items said it was the second worst packing job they had ever seen. If this is the way they respect our service men and women, image how they will treat your stuff. DON'T DO IT. YOU WILL REGRET IT. read more

If I could rate this company zero stars, I would. Every aspect of our move was unsatisfactory. We were talked into full replacement coverage insurance. LV&S didn't pay us a penny and strung us along for months. Many of our possessions were missing, damaged, crushed, scratched, dented, shattered, and soiled. The estimator's assurance of a satisfactory moving experience was totally the opposite of what really happened. The loaders and the unloaders were reckless and unprofessional. They have you fill out a satisfaction survey right in front of them. How can you truly rate their service when three big sweaty imposing guys are watching you fill out every line of rating their service, United Van Lines finally payed us for our claim. I've used UVL before, and they are a reputable company. But I would never use Lompoc Van and Storage again. Be warned! Take your business elsewhere!! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would, I was told a time of 11:30- 12:30 that the movers would arrive to unload everything. Around 11:10 I was called and told that the movers were there and I told the man that my representatives were on their way and would be there shortly. The man hung on me in the middle of me explaining that the representatives would be there soon. The man on the phone before he hung up on me was complaining that they've been their since 11:00 am and have been knocking on the door after I told him the time that I was quoted. He was very upset and complaining that the movers had drove 4 hrs from lompac to victorville and they were tired and wanted to beat traffic to get back. The man was rude and unprofessional and complained the whole time while unpacking my household items. I understand that the in companies there are bad employees but after I called the office to put in a complaint I felt they could have handled the situation better. read more

We were assigned this company through the military. They basically tossed everything into huge boxes. Completely disregarding items marked fragile. They rummaged through multiple boxes of my stuff and my babies stuff. A bag of jewelry is missing, a chip in our tv, multiple shattered glass items, an entire box of hand painted Christmas ornaments, crushed. Baking sheets and kitchen utensils were tossed on top of dvds. Many more random little things were bent out of shape, chipped, broken, or missing. Do you know what they offered us? Less than $300 for everything. The excuse? You can't prove it was packed so we don't owe. I kid you not, the pages upon pages of items I wrote down weren't good enough because they weren't the companies' own pages. Because the packers didn't write item by item, they can say that whatever isn't documented isn't on them. So I just pulled this list of random things from thin air? They didn't document my Xbox or any of its games but that made it to me, so if that had turned up missing, because it's "not documented", they wouldn't have to pay for it. Nothing was documented correctly and that's my fault? It's my fault that your movers didn't pack well enough or decided to steal my stuff? It's my fault that your workers didn't properly write down what was in each box, when that is what you pay them to do? You were paid by the military to move us back home, in turn, you used that money to pay your workers to steal my personal belongings. It's not random stuff from target, it was meaningful, and loved possessions. I don't know how you're still in business. read more

We used this company twice before (in 2014/2015) and had a good experience. However, now that my 75 year old husband is nearly in a wheelchair, I needed a trustworthy moving company more than ever before. We had 3 weeks to move a distance of 1/2 mile, And we waited over 7 days for their disreputable estimator Jason to view the job, we waited days more for his proposal which was gobbledygook and when we called to question him he was rude and nasty. ONE DAY BEFORE THE MOVE, with only a few days left in the house, we called to confirm the arrival time and we told that they were providing two men and a FLATBED TRUCK to move over $100k worth of our almost new furniture! When we objected they told us they had no other available equipment and "they had tried hard to fit us in", and blamed us for not telling them that a flatbed was unsuitable or that we lived in hilly terrain! Jason our estimator knows better because he came to estimate our move, has now become a disreputable deceit and the new ownership has no conscience nor business sense other than $$$$ and to heck with people, customer loyalty or doing the right job. Beware. Stay away. They never came and left us completely stranded. They should have their license revoked. In sum, this company is AWFUL and should not be in business anywhere! read more

These movers moved us in September about a mile from one home to the new home. The broke a desk getting it from one home to the other as they had to somewhat take it apart to get it through doors. At new home they cracked the wood base as they tried to put the top on backwards. It was a total fail. We waited about 2&1/2 months & found out they would pay for the desk by some mathematical equation that gave us about $200. To replace a hooker brand desk. It was laughable. You can't buy a desk at Walmart for that. They messed up our bed in the move, but they had just put it together wrong. They chipped a computer desk armoire & were supposed to follow up. No. I moved 2 picture frames thinking to hang one today one is chipped & the other has broken glass. These people were horrible & I mean horrible to work with. Did I mention we have moved 6 other times in 28 years & never had this kind of problem! Do not use these people!! read more
