TME moved us from SLO to Seattle 5/2024. See long distance reviews for same complaints - they underestimate, then upcharge after loading. Expect damage from poor packing and denial of almost all claims. They blame customers ("harassment"), personally attack, give the same answers as to why their disorganization, cutting corners, and lack of professionalism is not their fault. They play victim, use words like slander and fake legal jargon and policies to scare people. They know it easier for you to just move on than take their bullying so they can avoid any responsibility. They prey on SLO county so I sued them to expose their lies and behavior on public record. You can look up all their emails, texts, poor documentation, gaslighting, twisted logic, and unprofessional abusive interactions at SLO County Courthouse's re:SearchCA tool using the case number 25SC-0053. I wish I'd marked up the evidence more, but I will outline it here, plus the extensive Terms & Conditions on their site that you agree to by hiring them (be careful - they are constantly changing!). They even lied under oath despite getting my evidence before, saying I didn't show up last minute and added more to my move, etc. -Dillon promised lots but communicated nothing to "team". Said no need for added insurance, but their T&C allows them to deny almost all claims you make with standard. Others say even if you ask for more, they put you off until you have to move without it. -Jason underestimated the move in person. Once move starts, more charges pile on. Sign saying police will be called if you don't pay extra charges. -Told J and Nicole about realtor referral discount, but they put me off to "look into this" until it was too late. The realtor got a check to provide more victims. -For long distance, the truck is a SEMI. They were totally unaware that semi trucks do not fit in city residential streets until AM of move tho I let them know many times. Suddenly we had to pay more for local movers (that you have to separately source) to move our things into a smaller truck that I also had to pay for. -We were (intentionally??) told to go 1h away from where they unloaded the semi into smaller truck. Then we couldn't make it before they had to start paying OT so they unloaded w/o us. Per their T&C, they can sign off that everything was received if you are not present or unable to pay, waiving all your rights! My ACTUAL SIGNATURE appears in multiple places on this form, time stamped a week before delivery! Then TME wouldn't give the name of local company w/ our things so we had no clue about ETA until they arrive. -Local movers reported a poorly packed truck and no inventory used with our stuff on other client's things. We heard a worker overseeing inventory during moveout say he had no clue what he was doing. With all our things in the truck, I had to sign this unreadable mess of a document. "It's all there; no place it can go. Just sign to avoid OT charges." This document was never seen again - they cannot provide a copy. 5 boxes missing, 3 with all the wine (yes I know...we're not fancy). Ghosted x1wk; previously always got through immediately. I called the police for help and TME finally started looking. Boxes never found. We were told owner Aaron doesn't talk to clients but he called the realtor ASAP! -For claims form, they want you to sign a blank unalterable document online 1st - states it is your entire claim, waiving right to make any other claims. Finally got requested PDF after months. No response months after submission, then in process, then asked again to sign blank doc. Finally offered ~$100 after undisclosed $95 processing fee. Offer is not line-itemed properly, missing items they say they will pay for, and incorrect math (total is too low). Most damages considered normal wear & tear. Refuse to pay for missing boxes - say local movers may have stolen them and I have no evidence (bc they didn't use the inventory), but unable to show that they had all my goods up until local movers took over (no inventory). -Then they say wine is illegal to transport bc hazmat tho the "law" they send says only RUBBING alcohol prohibited. Later they say can't transport ANY liquids, but there was no notice before the move. -I finally request arbitration (they're legally required to agree) and am passed to claims adjuster as if they were arbitrator. TME unable to respond after this. Good strategy. -After they lost in court, their check got lost for wks but they refused to send a new one. USPS gods eventually came through. More fine print from their T&C or paperwork I signed: -discounted shipments (e.g. realtor codes) are not eligible for claims -they can revoke a discount anytime -you agree not to dispute credit card claims -all particle board damage is excluded from claims (so no incentive to treat it nicely) -they will sell your info -you will be responsible for any of their legal fees if you try to challenge any charges
