    My favorite pitcher they broke
    Bradlee S.

Okay first of all, we called and gave SPECIFIC detail of what was moving and what wasn't. After talking through what appliances, furniture, and boxes were going we got a quote for $485 for two guys for three hours, perfect. Anything left out they were to just leave out, we didn't need to be out same day and we planned on going back to grab anything (and clean) they didn't get in our time limit we had them for. Day of, they were supposed to come at 10am, we called at 1015 to ask where they were and they said one of their coworkers had a heart attack the day before so they were behind and were a man down. They said they'd be there around 1130/12 We went to put our girls down for a nap and they showed up at 1230, we gave the instructions of what things were going and what wasn't, they said "perfect easy we'll be done in no time" we then left to tend to our daughters and get the new place ready. At 2pm we called to ask how it was going they said "30 more min" At 3pm we called again "almost done" At 4pm I showed back up at the old house and half the truck was loaded but the rest of our stuff was in the driveway he said, oh ya almost done a lot of stuff in the attic! And I said oh ya no need to grab that just the big stuff! And he said okay So I left to go to the new house At 5 we call and he says "15 more min" At 6pm he FaceTimes us to show us the empty house (the house we didn't want empty) At 7pm we called and they said they stopped at am/pm for drinks At 715pm they arrived at the new house (a 10 min drive from the old house) I begged them to unload my girls beds it was bedtime and they were melting (we expected the movers to work 10am-2pm so we thought there was no chance the girls wouldn't have a place to sleep at bedtime) At 930pm they finally unloaded the girls beds, but both hardware to their beds was no where to be found UGH. At 1030pm they finished. Our friends who were helping us assemble the beds left at 11pm and saw their truck parked at the end of our street and the guys just hanging out? At 1115pm we hear knocking on our door and one of the movers had come back to ask us to pay our invoice! We look and it's for $1,900. Ummmmm I just have so many questions. Where was the communication about adding extra hours? They invoiced us for five guys working at one point? But only three showed up at our new house. They invoiced for 10 hours but we literally thought we only had them for three and were confused when they just kept saying "30 more min" What did they do from the 6pm facetime to the 715pm arrival at the new house besides a am/pm run?! It was made clear multiple times they were not to pack anything. Just load appliances and boxes. SO WHY DID THEY PACK EVERYTHING But also not even everything they left my kitchen and bathroom untouched? I'm confused Moving onto what they broke/lost Lost hardware for crib Broke my favorite pitcher Broke a shelf in our fridge Left the water to our washer on when he disconnected it and if my parents hadn't stopped by the old house after them, the laundry room would have flooded overnight Left their drinks from working all over the kitchen Don't hire them.

No show. Do not use them claim they have 18 workers then send a long text on why they can't show and want to show the next day. Go with another moving company

Our unit needed to be moved!
    Chris M.

My girlfriend and I had planned on moving into the area, and drove our stuff down a couple months in advance and filled a 10x20 storage unit. We then drove down with another truck load of possessions and the process of packing and moving twice was enough to satisfy any desire to do it again on our own. We reached out to a couple different companies before my girlfriend found man power here on Yelp. They were able to accommodate immediately and schedule two guys to meet us at our storage that afternoon. JUAN and GREY were there waiting for us as we pulled up. These two guys clearly have worked hard over the years and they proved to have a serious amount of grit left in them! They had just finished an 7-8 hour day, and were under the impression they were moving a single room. They never once communicated that to us until after the job (I state that, because they saw the job, and didn't put it on us to feel uncomfortable). They followed us in, saw the unit and went straight to work. My girlfriend and I were able to sit in our car, and watch them load our stuff faster than i could hope. They moved at an epic pace!! They loaded up the truck strategically and securely, and I felt great about them transporting it to our house down the road. Once we got to our house, they went straight to work. Juan and Grey work incredibly well as a team, know what the other is thinking and doing and communicate effectively; and Again, work FAST!! I can't say enough how diligent they are to get the job down! They never stopped to drink, use the bathroom, wipe their brow (they were drenched) or eat! There were times I held my breath as the maneuvered tight corners and narrow stair cases with extremely Heavy furniture, but they moved everything without a scratch to our furniture or walls. We were certain to show our gratitude at the end of the move, and I'm leaving this review to again to express our gratitude for these two (Juan and Grey) to work well into the night, after starting their day Early that morning.

Working after hours to get the job done!

I've used these guys for 2 moves and 1 spa move. Trustworthy, best prices around by far, work hard - even overtime until the job is done! (See picture of them working at night to get job done !) They reply to texts quickly and get you a good deal. They also let me help move things, which was good for

    My beautiful dresser is ruined.

I appreciate your continued efforts to correct the marble top accident that happened. The owner of man power moving is a stand up, show up business man who clearly cares about his business and the customers whom call for any size job. I will not hesitate to call his team in future. Thank you.

We were actually referred to them through U-Haul. After 10 years it was time to move out of a 1400sf 3br+, 2ba house. I guess we had a lot more stuff than I thought as the truck we rented ended up being completely packed from floor to ceiling (and front to back) using what I can only describe as some amazing pro Tetris skills. These guys took a look over the house analyzing everything that had to go into the truck and maximized the space efficiency at speed. It didn't matter how big/heavy/awkward the furniture - these guys worked together to make it happen at blazing speed. Stairs were not a problem either. I've moved a few times and I'd never seen anything like this especially for the price. I even hired them for a 2nd job of removing the 10 years of accumulated junk that we weren't taking. I will most definitely 100% hire these guys again and recommend them to anyone looking for a moving assist.

Unloading in less than an hour, while I had the two of them scheduled for 2 hours. I just needed help unloading but they are also able to help do some unpacking and set up too. Their methods were a bit questionable and there was some damage to my furniture. What was most unsettling was their comments. Although they seemed polite up front, I found some of their remarks were fairly racist. I did not feel safe and would not hire them again.

Also, I needed to add that we asked for someone that was experienced in moving a piano. On the day of the move, two men showed up. No one knew how to move a piano. The two guys were not fast moving movers. They spent so much time wrapping our goods in plastic. The two guys were at our home for over eight hours. They had no boxes to move. We had done that previously all this was wrapping a furniture and putting it in a pod. The pod probably held about 3/4 of our furniture so we were then stuck with a second date to move the rest into a storage. So now we're paying for a pod monthly charge and 2 moves. It was totally overwhelming, and apparently Jay the general manager is a horrible estimator. So now it's move-in time and we're stuck with Central Coast having some of our goods in their warehouse so now we're paying again for them to move the stuff that he told us was originally gonna fit in our pod so it's a three hour minimum and two guys. Paid for a third move so now it's time for them to pick up their pod. They quoted us $475 originally for the pod return, but now they've added on a $200 restocking fee for their moving blankets. This company nickels and dimes the crap out of you. Do yourself a favor and call meathead movers they were way more. Efficient worked hard didn't charge us for travel time and gave us what they said.

The 2 gentlemen assigned to my job were friendly, courteous, and had the utmost respect for my property. It wasn't easy getting the items I needed out, but they managed to do it with precision and care. This was by far the most unprofessional and abusive moving company I have ever dealt with, and I implore you AVOID this company at all costs. If you want your items and furniture to be taken care of and arrive UNDAMAGED or ARRIVE AT ALL (as they did not for me), HIRE ANY OTHER MOVING COMPANY!! They do not care about you or your belongings. Here's a snapshot of my experience: I hired them to move my belongings from San Luis Obispo to San Francisco. From the very beginning in San Luis Obispo, the movers did not use blankets, padding, or any materials to meaningfully protect my items. I watched them place my dresser, nightstand, bed frame, and other wood furniture DIRECTLY onto the concrete sidewalk, then stack everything in the truck bare. By the time my items were delivered in San Francisco, nearly every major piece of furniture was damaged. My dresser and nightstand had multiple chips and scratches, my bed frame and headboard were gouged, my refrigerator had a large dent, and my picture frames were scuffed and chipped, and ripped, some of them irreplaceable. In addition to the damage, some of my belongings never arrived. My rug and lampshade are still missing to this day. During delivery, the movers also brought out items that did not belong to me, including a mattress and multiple framed pictures. I informed them immediately that the mattress was not mine and it was removed, but I was left with another customer's picture frame. This raises serious concerns for me about how customers' property was being handled. The most egregious part of this move occurred during delivery in San Francisco. After the movers arrived, saw the apartment, and began unloading, they did not raise any issue or mention any additional charges. However, halfway through unloading, they demanded an additional $412 via a Change Order and refused to continue carrying my belongings upstairs unless I signed and paid immediately. I was told my items would be left in the lobby if I did not agree. This happened in the middle of the move, after a significant portion of my belongings had already been brought into the apartment. I felt I had no practical choice but to sign in order to complete delivery, and I believe the way this fee was imposed mid-move was misleading, coercive, and improper. When I politely pointed out some of the damage, one of the movers, became hostile. He shouted at me, saying "F*** you man, I'm done," before storming out of my apartment. He left my mattress lying on the floor and the headboard loose and improperly installed. The other mover offered minimal help before also leaving, but the job was incomplete and I was left to deal with the situation on my own. After the move, I tried multiple times to reach the company's manager, Kevin, who was my main point of contact. I left several voicemails explaining that I wanted to discuss the serious issues I had faced. He never called me back--and has yet to do so. Adding insult to injury, before all of this, when I asked to reschedule my delivery from Sunday to Monday, which happened to be Labor Day, the company agreed no problem but sent me a text saying, "Yes, we can do that, no problem, but please tip our guys well as they'll be giving up their Labor Day." Asking for a tip in advance of service is highly unprofessional. I would happily tip for a job well done, but this could not have been more of a disastrous move. In the end, my total charges increased from the original $2,100 "Not to Exceed" estimate to $2,500 after the mid-move Change Order. My belongings were damaged and some items were missing, one of the movers verbally berated me and left the job incomplete, and I was required to sign and pay an additional fee in the middle of unloading in order to complete delivery. The company has since failed to meaningfully communicate directly with me. I have filed formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the California Bureau of Household Goods and Services. This company's conduct during my move was reckless and abusive, and in my experience highly misleading. If you value your belongings, your money, or your peace of mind, I strongly recommend choosing another company. I have attached photos showing the lack of protection and the resulting damage so others can make an informed decision.
