    The Water Slides.

How can you enjoy hours of playing in the pool if you have 2 hours per day, and for $3.00 to get in. If you would like to learn how to swim, they can teach I guess pretty much everyone from a toddler to adult age. The bathrooms are not well-kept, you can see dirt on the floor that looks like it was not cleaned for days or maybe weeks. The bathroom stalls are not clean also. The floor is always slippery, I think it's the kind of tiles they used, liability to the city when something happens. Pooling of water on the floor is not good. I think the management is doing a good job. I don't see chaos each time I go there. I think the swimming instructors are doing a great job. I saw this kid today who's not listening to the teacher, and the dad was just watching this insubordination. Not cool. The teacher showed his patience and professionalism. Kudos to Patrick, he taught my kid many session times already. My kid became good in swimming in a short period of time. All I wish for is longer hours of swimming so the whole family can enjoy the water.

Literally the nicest thing in Lompoc. It's a clean and new facility with two lap swim areas, a baby pool/therapy pool, and a kids area with a jungle gym type thing. I love that one of the lap pools is warmer than the others. Sometimes I am just not ready to jump in the cold one!! It's nice to swim a few warm-warm up laps first :) They are a little bit stingy on hours. If they had more availability I know it'd be a hit with more people. Especially the military folks who work strange hours, and restaurant/bar guys too. You can enter the pool as a non-member during very very very select hours. Other than that you could join YMCA for pool access or purchase the monthly slash pass. Overall a great place and I love going there.

My entire family enjoys the "rec swim". Two hours is the perfect amount of time to swim, slide and play. It's 50% less than going to a movie and we're getting physical activity. My daughters and I attended a private birthday party for their friend. My younger daughter wasn't paying attention and walked into the deeper part of the pool where she couldn't keep her head above water. One of the life guards was quick to notice and jumped in, calmly helped my daughter back to the younger side of the pool. She was amazing because not only was the party uninterrupted, but my daughter stayed calm as well.

As I write this I'm in my home (I live across the creek on the opposite side of Southwood Drive) with all windows shut and very clearly hear it, from a distance of 300 ft. I mentioned the distance because the city's own noise ordinance states, in pertinent part: "Between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., it is a violation to make or allow noise that can be heard 50 feet from your property line." My residence is five times the distance spelled out in the ordinance. However, I walked back through my complex to see how far the noise was audible. I stood at the basketball court fence adjacent to my property - a distance of 500 ft, 10 times the distance in the city's ordinance - and the music is still audible. Now, I'm familiar with the concept of due diligence when looking for a new place to stay, and I did research this neighborhood before moving here. I was aware I would next to two parks, a school, and a baseball stadium. I have no problem with the noise from the ball games, school etc. as it's unavoidable but the pool music is not. Further, I couldn't have conceived of a scenario where I would regularly be subjected to loud music from a city ran facility, in violation of their own noise ordinance. Again, I'm giving the city the benefit of the doubt, in good faith, and assuming they're unaware of this. I feel a lot of it has to do with the placement of whatever speaker(s) the music is played over. Thus, a possible solution would be to arrange the speakers so they face away from the complexes on the other side of the street. They could still face the pool, and the hill/elementary chool on the other side of the pool would largely blunt the music from traveling to the residences on Augusta. I'm really hoping to hear back from someone with the city in regards to this.

So this is a very nice place and considering how upscale it is surrounded by parks and very nice views right across from the airport in Santa Maria or orcutt, It's a bargain and a half. January gets half price membership fee, In the monthly fees are well worth it and adjusted for families and if you're over an age I don't know. And now the Hot water is back on. Staff is very friendly they have every feature for families that you would ever want. They have all the classes you would ever want. They have tiny dry and wet saunas. I have some great outdoor areas fantastic views I think I mentioned that, but I didn't mention the soccer field which can be rented but it's basically for kids leagues three to 12. And it's particularly nice it's completely enclosed and has artificial turf. They have a lap pool and a jacuzzi off to the side and four weight areas and two gyms with half court, a couple of fully enclosed handball courts which I love. One and a half pickleball courts I'm dying to try that once I get back into reasonable balance. It may be my good looks and personality but people are very friendly. And it's a great place if you got anything going for you to meet someone. So after one tour and 8 days later one try out which isn't much I'm giving it five stars. And it's my favoritest gym I think that I've ever joined maybe the Santa Barbara Y was close.

You are surrounding by palm trees in every direction, beautiful rolling green mountains, and the ocean is just a few minutes away! This is one of the best clubs I have ever visited. As soon as you walk in, everyone is so friendly and welcoming (it's almost unbelievable). There are over a dozen tennis and pickleball courts, multiple saunas, a large lap pool with a hot tub as well as a smaller leisure pool with another hot tub. There is a wonderful outdoor patio on the second level which overlooks the courts and pools and has fire pits and lots of seating. Inside you will find a cardio room, weight room, and another lounge area with a pool table and a large seating area with a big fireplace. They offer a full service spa where you can get massages, facials, pedicures/manicures, and hair cuts. Added bonus - if you schedule one of those services you get a free day pass to use all of the amenities at the club without being a member.
