I definitely enjoy coming here. It's about 5 minutes from my house which means I can shower and change at home. The staff are nice, especially Alex. The pool is going to be updated which it's time. Sure, the equipment is a little dated, but convenience is key. They have the same instructor coming here to teach the Zumba class as In-Shape. I can't keep up in the classes or use the equipment anyway, but I can use the pool anytime the gym is open. That's right - anytime. There are no limits on the hours while the gym is open. And it's 6.5 feet deep. The pool is warm. If anyone is cold there, it's because the temperature is relative. If it's warm out, the pool feels cold, if it's cold out, the pool feels warm. I mainly use the pool here which they keep at 88 degrees for therapy. I started going to the pool here through Carnahan PT and then joined. I'm alot stronger than I was, but I have a really long way to go.

Had a few bad experiences since I wrote my initial review. The pool was repaired, but done wrong and they are going to have potential problems later with water not draining properly. The equipment could use a refresh as some of it has been around since the 90s -and I've kept my mouth shut about it since I know it's hard to run an independent gym. And since my level of fitness is pretty low, I stayed away from some of the ellipticals, but when my physical therapist wanted me to warm up there, I tried, but the machines I used kept turning off, so yeah, I complained hoping that it could be fixed. Now they have finally changed over to a scan system to check in, and when I complained about that, one of the employees (an older guy) snapped, "It's always something, isn't it?" Well excuuuuuuuse me. My "complaints" about the pool were meant to help you. And my "complaints" about the machines were valid. I guess you don't care about the fact that those machines not working well for the slow folks could cost some money, but when I couldn't use those, I did my warmup for PT at home on my own elliptical - which means PT can't bill for the warmup. So what if my complaint about the new system came on a day when I was feeling grouchy, that's a very poor customer service response. Why not just say, "having a bad day?" or cheerily say, "I know it seems like a lot of trouble now, but we really appreciate you checking yourself in because it helps us keep track of gym use."???? From what I can tell, they can't really afford to lose members,
