I am a follower of lagree megaformer Pilates so not much knowledge about classical Pilates but I loved the group class I took today. Owner/Instructor Allison was super friendly and really helpful. The class is completely completely different from the megaformer but still gets in a good workout. Seems like it would be a good complement to the megaformer. There were some moves that crossed over but overall a completely different pace. I loved the constant constant form correction. Because there are only six reformers you really get the personal individual attention of a private Pilates class. I loved how Allison was really trying to get you to get the most perfect form possible. While I didn't walk out the class drenched in sweat like a megaformer class I def felt my abs burning. I am a fan and I'll be back next time I'm in town! P.S. Oh I almost forgot...there is some cute gear in the shop too. Walked away with some cute toe sox and a long sleeve top!

Jordan's workouts are customized to our personal goals and we've both been extremely impressed and motivated with our progress and strength training. We look forward to our sessions and Jordan always raises the bar" literally" to keep his clients engaged, involved and excited with their progress which for both of us has been excellent. The gym is private and convenient with outdoor parking.

So again, it's on the right corner of Walnut St. Had a misunderstanding on the class schedule and the lady who helped us was kind and helpful. They offer yoga, belly dancing, aerial yoga and I think acrobatic yoga too. Will go back and try their aerial yoga! --- Aerial yoga is fun and they are very attentive. Limited spots on Saturdays so call ahead, they also have it on Thursdays. Staff is super friendly and attentive!!:)

We were welcomed into the box by owner Darren Savella as if we were family or ohana. We even met his wife, daughter & parents. Had a great WOD and got great tips from coach Vic. In addition to training tips, he recommended a stop to see the elephant seals in San Simeon (which we did & loved!). We really enjoyed the positive vibes of friendly members, the community feeling of CF Ohana, and all the cool Ohana gear. Got shirts & socks as a souvenir. It was a bonus to see Darren do 15.3 with a cheering section of family, members & coaches.

Communication is important as she'll adjust your program based on your goals and how you're feeling. I went in with having some vague ideas about what I want to achieve and course corrected over the span of a couple sessions. She plans out your sessions for you so you have something concrete to follow on the days that you're just working out on your own. I've definitely been pleased overall with Amy and The Bar as my first experience with personal training. In my research for personal trainers, I always felt like pricing was intentionally hidden and reviews never did much to help in that department (what the heck?). I won't break whatever unspoken rule is at play here, but I will say that it's not cheap. That being said, I do think that it's worth the money especially if you're just starting out and have no idea how to plan a workout and need that guidance.

Work outs at the Bar are truly enjoyable. Previously, I had very little experience with weight lifting and was a bit intimidated when going into the gym. I have learned so much and now have confidence when working out on my own. I started with Albert wanting to both lean out and grow muscle. Over the past year Albert has helped me gain strength in various muscle groups, one of my favorite area of improvements is the glute growth I have seen! I really recommend checking out the Bar for personal training or group classes.

So this is a very nice place and considering how upscale it is surrounded by parks and very nice views right across from the airport in Santa Maria or orcutt, It's a bargain and a half. January gets half price membership fee, In the monthly fees are well worth it and adjusted for families and if you're over an age I don't know. And now the Hot water is back on. Staff is very friendly they have every feature for families that you would ever want. They have all the classes you would ever want. They have tiny dry and wet saunas. I have some great outdoor areas fantastic views I think I mentioned that, but I didn't mention the soccer field which can be rented but it's basically for kids leagues three to 12. And it's particularly nice it's completely enclosed and has artificial turf. They have a lap pool and a jacuzzi off to the side and four weight areas and two gyms with half court, a couple of fully enclosed handball courts which I love. One and a half pickleball courts I'm dying to try that once I get back into reasonable balance. It may be my good looks and personality but people are very friendly. And it's a great place if you got anything going for you to meet someone. So after one tour and 8 days later one try out which isn't much I'm giving it five stars. And it's my favoritest gym I think that I've ever joined maybe the Santa Barbara Y was close.
