The dude and I came to Orcutt Community Park on 2/14/21 on Valentines Day to have a nice meal at the park. This park over looks hills and the view is beautiful! The park was very clean and there were a lot of people coming and going in and out the park. They have a play structure for kids, large grassy areas and sitting area. Probably a lot more things as we didn't cover the whole park. There were animals like the owners with their dogs. There were restrooms. This was a very fancy park! A lot of socializing going on from groups hiking or taking walks to yoga and play dates! We luckily found a empty bench to sit on in the sun as it was pretty chilly. The dude and I had a lot fun here and it was a nice spot to eat our Cuban Valentines Day Special here. I would love to come back and explore more of the park. It was windy but relaxing overall we enjoyed our meal! Nice park! If in the area I highly recommend! read more

Great little playground for toddlers and young kids. The green soft turf however is in dire need of replacement as huge chunks as big as 2 ft are missing. Would be great to see this play structure restored. read more

What a great park! The Dog Park and the adjacent trails make it even better than most parks. Soccer and baseball fields are tucked away across the bridge and you will find a sidewalk track too. There is one large reserved area and a smaller one. Decent playground with a chess table on top. Bring your own pieces if you want to play. Our church had a great time at this park. Parking can be a challenge but overall, it's a winner. read more

Not anywhere as nice as Waller but a huge improvement over what we saw when first we tried this park 3 years ago. Nice spot though!!

Well maintained and in a great location on the southern edge of town. PROS: the best thing about this park is it is kept clean by both the park ranger AND the majority of the folks that visit; athletic fields appear well groomed; walking track is free of pot holes and cracks; playground looks decent and the dog parks appear popular CONS: occasionally out of doggy bags, which may explain why some of our citizens don't pick-up after 'Ol Blue . . . OCP is in a pretty setting at the base of the small hills of south Orcutt. Nice to have this gem in our community, and special kudos to the folks that maintain the park! Cheers! RS read more

Favorite place to take my dog, walk the track to get exercise or venture off to hike in the surrounding mountains. Dog park is extremely clean and well maintained along with all parts of the park. Always friendly people around too! read more

This is a nice, well maintained park! It is too bad that the housing development has taken out much of the surrounding trails, however. I also haven't seen where the dog park is located within the park. Still a great place to go and I'll be back! read more

Love this community park. This is a great park for kids to play at. The play area is very well kept up and nice. There is benches around for parents to sit at. There is a grassy area for the kids to run and play. The dog park is also great (I've experienced the larger dog park side) my boys have always enjoyed it. The hiking near here is also very nice with many different paths to pick from. The grassy area across the bridge has a loop that is one mile when twice around. Nice area to go for a walk or run. There are pull up bars and dip bars around the tack area. Many different local youth teams play and practice here. The bathrooms both by the playground and the open grass area are nice for public restrooms. The covered area is great to rent for parties. They have a ton of seating and a nice large bbq pit. However, it does need to be reserved or it is first come first service. read more

Beautiful park, but a few people can ruin it for everyone. There seems to be a retirement community that posts up in chairs here and has a social hour while their dogs run a muck- one more medium sized dog who picked several fights in the space of an hour and many of the dogs pooping while their owners turned a blind eye. (Yep- I found out the hard way and had to wash off my shoe) If you're going to take over half the park at least watch your dogs- and if they are aggressive.. it's really not fair to refuse to leave. read more

I came here to run around the sports fields. Very nice park. Has dog park that's well kept. Very nice quick hiking trail. With a great view of orcutt. The track has workout stations which are a nice addition. One time at dusk while I was running I did cross paths with a mountain lion. So I try not to be there too late in the evening.. read more

Very clean park, grass is well maintained, benches are well kept within shady areas. One downside was witnessing a few people congregating with their lawn chairs and didn't watch their dogs whatsoever since it was their social hour. One of the owners dog kept humping other dogs, which I get it, it's normal, but to not correct your dog in case if another other dog got aggressive? Owner just laughed it off and said "he's a boy, it's alright." It's just upsetting how some owners don't watch their pups and/or correct their behavior. read more

Very nice and clean park with grass! I say that because this is honestly The First dog park that has grass! We travel often and have been to so many dog parks that I was just blown away with the beautifulness of this park. The many water bowls and clean bowls at that! Trash cans and scoopers in two different places. Hooks even for you to hang your leashes on. My dogs actually ran and played and didn't just sit down next to me. There had to have been at least 15 dogs there and this was at 3 in the afternoon! read more

The dog park there is great I went with my friend Colson once there with his dog Lucy and it was great we met the nicest people and dogs at the small dog park we met a dog named Sammy who's a pug (Friendly) a beagle mix named Rufus (Friendly) and i can't remember any other names right now but still it was fun. The only reason i rated it 4 stars is because there a f##k load of bees and flies there. read more

This is my favorite place to jog. If you start at the light poles when the sidewalk starts and go up the trail, up the steep incline, back around the hill and go the long way outside and around the trail it equals out to exactly 3 miles! Seriously, if you want to know the route - message me and I'll meet you and walk/jog it with you because this route that I take is $$. The view from the top of the hill is beautiful and I love it because the only way to get that view is to conquer the incline from HELL. There are two parks, one for small dogs and one for big dogs. The parks are well maintained and usually occupied and it doesn't give any weird vibes. Parking is never an issue. PRO-TIP Make sure to wave or at the least acknowledge people when you pass them on the trail... it doesn't have to be awkward PEOPLE. read more

After spending 4 hours in the car with our toddler twins they were ready to run around and play! We found Orcutt Community Park via yelp and made our way over. This well maintained and clean park is great for kids. There was a large party next to the play structure yet there was plenty of room for the general public to enjoy the park. This was a great place to stop for a family with kids and dogs if you are on a road trip. Just a couple of turns off of the 101. *** Good dog park. We used the large dog section of the dog park. Not very wide, but long enough to throw a ball a good distance. Around midday on a Saturday, here was a high of about a dozen dogs, and a low of two dogs. People seemed to know each other, but were friendly to strangers. Fence around both large and small dog parks is SUPER low. It might be as tall as 3', but not any higher. Not the park for you if your dog is a jumper. There is only one dog watering station. There is a fixed bowl below each faucet. The bowl has holes, I suppose so that dogs aren't drinking each others' slobber. However, if you have a dog like mine that really doesn't like running water, it sucks. By the time I could coax my dog over, most of the water had drained. Bring your own bowl to fill and set aside. As you might have surmised, they also don't have any big rubber dog pools to help cool off your pet. So, three stars. If the water situation is improved and the fence were higher it would have gotten four stars. **** Playground for kids was very nice. Good newer equipment. My kids enjoyed it. Four stars. read more
