Latino Bites is a small, no-frills Colombian eatery that's got a straight-forward menu, good service and AMAZING food. I've only had Colombian food a few times and I was happy to try something new - the menu has photos and descriptions for all different options. My friend'a husband is Colombian so she was very familiar with the menu. The Colombian burgers looked out of this world - also they are huge. BOMBASTIC I would say. But we both went with an Arepa each - I had the Chicken Arepa and my friend had the Chorizo Arepa. So so so good!! When the arepa first comes out, it looks small but once you start eating it, you realize the amount of chicken and the sauces on the arepa makes it very substantial and filling. Served with a little bit of salsa and a little lettuce on the side, it was very satisfying. They also have some juices, sodas, and other food options like tacos, pizza and of course, as mentioned, the burgers! Since I tried to "be good," it will have to possibly be a next-time treat! 9/10 spot; so good that they even have a good truck across the street.

The inside is tiny so there is no real place to wait without blocking other people entering the place. The tacos did make up for the wait, though. They were $3.50 each and huge, with a large amount of meat. I ordered four tacos-chorizo, carne asada, pollo, and tinga. All of the tacos were great, but the tinga was the better chicken taco compared to the drier pollo. I would normally eat three or four tacos at a time but these were so filling I could only eat two in one sitting. There is no seating available. William F. Moore Park nearby has benches and tables but the park can get crowded. I would definitely come back, but order ahead of time and take the tacos to go.

We ordered an assortment of things: Nachos, Cheese Fries, Philly, Pastrami, Cactus Salad, and a Plantain Dish. The Philly is a good size. It's not the best Philly but it is passable. Priced right. Unfortunately it was mostly lettuce but my husband said the flavor isn't bad. The nachos are a good portion size but just regular. Decent assortment of toppings. The guacamole was good. The cheese fries were the major fail of the order. At $6 for a small.... The portion was tiny and it was literally just regular crinkle cut fries with a single slice of cheese melted on top. Definitely wouldn't recommend those. The Pastrami was good. A bit light on meat but a good flavor. The cactus salad had a great taste. Don't order unless you like cilantro. The plantain's are good. They have sour cream and queso fresco on them. New taste for me and pretty good. Overall, not a bad spot. Don't expect the best food in the area but it's definitely ok for a quick bite.

It's been a many moons since I had a proper "Reina Pepia'" and I certainly don't remember it the way they serve it at Arepas Burger. Their is not bad... but, I'd like the chicken in it to have more presence. Their tequeños are alright (obviously, they'd be a infinitely better when they are piping hot), their Chicha was definitely a delightful treat... but, not at $9/cup. The burgers are good, but, $16 (just a burger, not a meal) is getting close to midtown prices. Their food is definitely pretty good and the prices are lower at the store, but, we will definitely not be ordering again any time soon (maybe for pick up if we happen to be in their neck of the woods).

I've visited many Latin American restaurants but I don't think I've checked the box next to Venezuela so this would be a first time entry for me. Going inside the area, it's relatively small but since I was the only customer at the time, it was spacious. The waitress Paula was a sweetheart and served me well as I was figuring what to take on in this restaurant. I went for the standard Arepa Burger, fries and for dessert, I did want the brownie with ice cream but they didn't have that available so I settled for churros with nutella. The wait wasn't too long, very much short of 8 minutes when everything was set. The Arepa burger came loaded with Shredded beef & Chicken, black beans, Shredded white cheese & maduros. For what it's worth, you'll get your fill from this makeshift burger, it was so filling. The fries were done with excellent detail, firm crisp texture along with taste and goes pretty well with the Ketchup & Mayo mixture the place had with one of their condiment bottles. When it came time to take on the churros, I immediately got thrown off because they're not the churros I'm normally used to. Instead what was smothered with the nutella happened to be cheese sticks and at first I thought it was a mistake but seeing pictures on here, that's basically what it is. I do love cheese sticks and I do love nutella, but in my opinion they're not meant to be combined so I had to forgo it. Everything else was top notch. The food was very decent and the service was proper so everything I got was $23 and I threw in a $7 tip to round it off to $30 total for the meal. They got many different variants of Arepa sandwiches so there is certainly revisit value in this place and I can go for that.
