We can't give too much of a review as we only tried one of their menu items, but it was very delicious tortilla to compliment the quesadilla. The concept of how the quesadilla looks was different than expected but still yummy to eat. Would come back to try more food! Definitely check out the spot

I loved these quesadillas for a while when I ate meat. I love them even more now because they offer a vegetarian option hongos [mushrooms] and it is delicious. Things that stand out. They are clean! The food handlers do not handle money. The tortillas are handmade. They are friendly. They have delivery. The homemade SAUCES!!!!! are delicious. They can bottle those and start their own business. They really need to patent those. They are very accommodating to their client's needs.

Everytime I think of a quick bite and i am not cooking I come here, these quesadillas are heaven and Angels dancing In my mouth, I know right, don't judge me lol, my favorites ones are tinga and carne con rajas, the dough is hand made, and cook on the spot , therefore its crunchy and a bit crispy , Aside from the fact that the quesadillas are delicious they are affordable, you cant beat that! Good spot. P.S they have three different sauces, I like the avocado green one.

Good portion, 2 tacos filled me up. Good service, they even provide folding chairs if you want to eat there, in front of the food truck.

Even though this vendor sells tacos pequeño (small tacos, 2-3 bites), they are $3-4 each, which is not cheap. For that reason, I can't give them 5 stars. It's quite pricey considering that most full size tacos are selling for about $4.50-5.50 nowadays on the streets, but double in size. With that said, I appreciate the smaller size for me to enjoy more variety every time I stop by. My favorites change from visit to visit, but generally I always get Suadero (roast meat), Campechano (roast meat & sausage), Buche (pork stomach), Cabeza (beef head), and Lengua (beef tongue). I also like the extra weird parts like Cesos (beef brain) and Ojos (beef eye). However, the texture is very mushy and definitely not for everyone. As accompaniments, for every two tacos you order, they also give you a long stem onion that is quite tender and delicious. On the down side, instead of the traditional lime and radish that most places give, Tacos El Borrego offers lemon and cucumbers. I'm not sure why, except maybe they are cheaper options than the normal garnishes. Also, don't forget the flavorful green and red sauces on the table if you are eating there. Otherwise, ask for some to go. I miss the days when our group of friends would get a few tacos late at night after a party or night out drinking. The prices are no longer the same, but the food is still perfect for sobering up while having some laughs on the streets during the warm months. I think back to those days fondly whenever I'm at a taco stand nowadays, and Tacos El Botrego is one of my favorites in NYC.

Set on top of a large and crispy tortilla, it's coated with beans, cheese, tomatoes, avocado and an assortment of different meats like grilled steak, ground pork, and grilled pork. It was really tasty and I loved the crisp tortilla underneath. Definitely a dish to share because it's huuuuuge. Cash only!

It was my first time having Chinese BBQ cart skewers and I was an instant fan. I've gone back a bunch, taking other people with me. By far my favorites are the lamb, pork, and enoki mushroom, ordered spicy of course. The lamb is so tender, and the mushrooms are just so fun to eat. They're slippery, they are hard to chew, they don't break apart, they get stuck in my teeth, and I end up swallowing large bites which are covered in that spicy sauce and make me choke and...I just love it! I can't explain it, there's something about the chewiness and heat that while inconvenient, I really enjoy. The beef is also solid. The squid is OK. The chicken gizzards are not bad, I'm still developing a taste for them but they are not overcooked and tough here. The only thing I'd say to skip are the shrimp, they come out with their shells still on and are just rubbery. Cash only, if it's not obvious. If you buy something like $20 or more they give you a free soda. They have some stools set up if you want to eat it right there, but they're usually under the awning of New Golden Sparkling market and well, there's a lot of birds and bird poop there. I would just walk with it. There are lots of BBQ carts up and down Broadway, but I think the meat here is the best (not tough or fatty), and the service is always great. The main guy manning the grill doesn't speak too much English, but there's usually a younger guy helping him who does. Even without the help, ordering is easy, you just say the type of skewer you want, how many, and if you want it spicy. If you're really struggling, point! But it's never come to that.

This is a one man show and he was hustling! Kudos to the hardworking gentleman making our BBQ Kebabs, and don't forget to tip him! On this visit, we tried their Beef and Lamb Kebabs ($1.75 each). We asked for the kebabs with cumin and extra spicy. These were so flavorful and delicious! My only complaint is that some pieces were very fatty but very good nonetheless. I will definitely be looking for this cart the next time I'm in the area. Looking forward to trying their other skewers! (See my photos for their menu offerings).
