Per Salesman, "Yeah. Go take a look at that car your interested in. I'll be right with you after I complete the sale of that same car with the person at my desk." Another car was interested in had SEVERELY worn out brakes (grooves being cut into the rotors with metal fillings all over the rims), rear wheel bearings going out and Check Engine Light flashing (severe emission problem), and the salesman and on-duty mechanic both said that's normal for that model car and won't be repaired. Only the high mark-up cars are put out front and kept clean and presentable. Others that are more reasonable priced are stored unwashed 3 deep in the back with barely a foot between cars. Many have broken/missing tail lights that they won't replace. Not very willing to pull out these ares so one can look at them in more detail. Can't give negative stars, so I need to give 1. Wow, what an experience! I went to this auto dealer, walked around outside looking at their various cars for about 15 minutes, nobody came to greet me. Finally, I walked into the showroom, walked around for another 5 minutes, then the manager comes out and said hello. I told him I am interested in the Honda Accord outside and want to know if the CarFax is clean. He said all our cars have clean carfax. He also said, go check carfax online. I told him it's not online, and he says... well, check later... I asked him about my trade in... my car has 170,000miles... he said "I don't need your car!". WOW, what an experience. I have traded and bought over 15 cars over the past 10 years, and this is by far the WORST experience. If you think the price is good, be prepare to bring your money and just take the car. It seems like that place is like a Best Buy. You get whatever is on the shelf... don't expect anything more. Their business must be doing really really well and they can care less about my business. I bought my car here and they told me my due to my credit, the lender required a $600 up front balance on top of my down payment, but when lender called to confirm, they said they were scamming me to pocket the money. As I needed the car, I did it anyway. They take advantage of those with not so great credit and in need of a car. These guys are CROOKS. You've been warned. read more

I have never liked the process of buying a car. But being in need of another vehicle, my husband and I began looking for a Jeep Compass. While looking online, the search led us to Lombard Auto Exchange. The owner Joey had such a nice, non-pushy personality. He made the whole process from start to finish so easy, giving us a great deal on the Jeep and even found really great financing for us. After the purchase as we were looking over the Jeep, we did find some chips in the windshield which Joey apologized for and said he would have it taken care of for us. And he was a man of his word, the chips were repaired in a very timely manner and the windshield looks like new. I would highly recommend anyone in need of a vehicle to go see Joey. I was looking for a car and a friend of mine suggested I call Lombard auto exchange. Before I came in I told them what I was looking for. After a short time they told me they had located the exact car I was looking for at a price better than I expected. When I got there to see the car they took very good care of me helped me get a loan which was at an interest rate far less then I thought I would be paying. when my license plates came in I called and talked to a very nice young woman who informed me that she could send me my license plates but bylaw she had to let me know that if they got lost it would be on me I took the chance if she seemed very confident and two days later the license plates arrived. I looked online for a new truck and saw one I liked here. I called them at 10:30am to ask about it and told them I would be there later in the afternoon to see it. At 2:30 I got there, there was a guy out front washing all the cars along the street, I asked him where the truck was and he directed me to the back. It was behind several other cars, with little walking room around it, and it was filthy. The salesman moved the other cars and we went for a test drive. I informed him I needed it today and that I was financing. I left to look at one more truck down the road. An hour later I called back to tell them to have the truck washed and ready to go. I get there a half hour later and they buried the truck back where it was and the guy that was washing cars out front was wiping down the truck with a DRY towel. I go in to start the finance papers, after finishing he tells me that their bank closed for the day and he will call me Monday to start to process. Why wait till the end to tell me I can take the truck today?!?! So I left. Monday came and I never heard from him. I have good credit and had $1000 cash in pocket for a downpayment. I called Monday afternoon and told them to shred my info and that I was no longer willing to do any business with them. They wanted to transfer me to a boss so they could "make it right" to which I said its a free market and I choose to take my business elsewhere. I'm not going to beg you to sell me a car! read more

I bought my car from here, and it was a HORRIBLE experience!!! The salesman was a jerk who talked down to me and treated me like I was stupid. He was a total you know what and a womanizer. When my husband and I finally went to buy the car they claimed they could not take the payment with a card. They told us we would have to pay the 500$ fee they have to pay the credit card machine company on top of our car payment. Which was BS and we called them out for it. After buying the car they claimed we would get a postcard in the mail in a week with the car plates and in 2 weeks we would receive the car title and registration. It has been a month and I JUST received the plates and I have yet to see the title or registration. The only thing I have seen from them is a bunch of junk mail trying to pay me for a good review. Try to AVOID going here at ALL cost!!! read more

We did our Internet research, the car looked to be a good deal so we took a test drive and within two hours we had a new car! Nick was pleasant and informative, let us check out the car without pushing us to buy and answered all our questions. Frank got us a better financing rate than we expected. It was a very pleasant transaction without us feeling like anyone was trying to gain advantage of us. It was the best car for the best price out there at the time and the warranty package offered was exceptional. No one gets five stars because there is always room for improvement; quite frankly, I'd be hard put to say how these guys could have improved the experience. We were told everything worked on the car we purcaed in February. When warm weather came the air condiioning did not work. $1900 to repair. Our mechanic says it had not worked for much longer than February. Compressor was locked up, condensor had a hole in it, and on and on. Bottom line, do not buy from Lombard Auto. read more
