Reinforced Plastics Skylights is a pleasure to work with......quality, every bit as favorable as…read morethe product they work with, in my case, Velux skylights. When I first had the giant Velux roof window installed in 1980 ( before this company's time ) I had no idea how long it would last, or what the result would be. I only knew that the effect of having an overhead window to the sky was breathtaking. Besides the floor in the attic, the roof window was the second improvement, I went a long time doing nothing else...didn't need to----the skylight made for a mighty pleasant sitting room. With all of the 100 year old oak trees, their acorn drop, the squirrels using the roof as a major thoroughfare, no one imagined anything but having to replace the Velux from time to time. 29 years later, I noticed one day that there was a bit of moisture between the glass layers, the seal was broken. Not bad for nearly thirty years of service-----and ice and snow and squirrel activity....not bad at all. On the phone with Velux, why, yes indeed, they still make that size. No, if the window closes freely and is tight, only the glass has to be replaced. Enter Reinforced Plastics of Kensington, Velux's authorized installer. RPS was on the job with an excellent price of under $1500 and I'm ready for another 30 years. I tell people, to get the most bang for any home improvement buck, install skylight or solar tubes. I will be contacting RPS in a few short weeks to install solar tubes which they advised me about when they did the roof window replacement. Those solar tubes have gotten much lower profile than when they first came out, all but no-noticeable from the roof, but oh,boy, what they do for the room indoors. Knock your socks off in any room you use them in.....at the top of stairs, in laundry areas, anyplace.....turns any room into a cathedral. Reinforced of Kensington is a great company, pleasant and able crew came to my house, they were done within two hours. I had them leave the old window ...it was a whale of a window....I donated it to Community Forklift ....it went on to a new home no doubt. I'll update this review when RPS installs my Velux solar tubes.....

Thanks to them I have three new Velux lights that are so clear you can see the stars! I also love that they are energy efficient so it should save on the energy bills. The crew was polite and helpful explaining the process and gave updates with the removal and installation. They are very knowledgable and know all about the products they sell. They were in and out in a couple hours, cleaned up all the dust and debris, I couldn't be happier. After some initial miscommunications about the job, things didn't quite turn out the way I hoped, but Luis, the company owner came out himself to make sure things were resolved. And even though the scope of the project increased, he insisted on completing the job at the original rate (although I'm not going to let him, because the scope had increased substantially, and that is clearly my own doing). When working with someone new, it's always a toss up on how things will go when unexpected difficulties arise, and I'm very pleased in how Luis does business. Six-stars! UPDATE: the job is done and we are awaiting inspection this week. The pictures speak for themselves. We are extremely satisfied with our Tesla Wall connector Gen 3 installation. Luis went up and over our garage with EMT to get to the nearby panel. He had to upgrade a breaker to a double pole 60A breaker and also had to update the breaker that goes to the subpanel in the main panel to 100A. Tesla had sent us a bad wall connector the first time around and advised us remotely that the electrical work done was perfect and that all power levels were as expected. Luis insisted on coming out himself anyhow to double check everything even though I assured him it was Teslas wall connector. Sure enough the wiring was perfect and when the new wall connector arrived I popped it on and everything worked like magic.
