In the middle of a busy mall, stands a charming vintage style candy shop. It takes you back to a simpler time, when sweets were all sold in one store. Think 1920s or even earlier. You do feel like you're stepping back in time here, however, most of the candy is trendy. I will not fault them for that, you do have to catch the eyes of children because most candy is bought for them. Visiting from out of state. Had to make a quick trip to the mall that thankfully it was across the way from our hotel. Saw they have a Lolli and Pops. So we had to make a stop. Not sure why this is listed as "permanently closed" because it is definitely inside the mall. Layout is different from back home hut the choices are still amazing. My two year old of course wanted to get candy and before we could even begin a worker came up to us accusing my two year old and called security on us. Even security told us it was too much. If you never been to a Lolli and Pops, this place only slightly disappoints. If you have been to one, this one will leave a bad taste in your mouth. Here are the major things to consider: - It's rarely open. Most times, there's a sign that says they're closed because of staffing issues. - Staff in other locations wear old school candy shop uniforms. They don't do that here. Yes, it's missing some of the whimsical appeal but, not a big deal. However, it's next to impossible to tell who works there. - The candy selection is varied but unkept and disorganized. read more

I wanted to purchase some chocolate truffles. The store was quite busy but most, if not all, the customers appeared to be interested in the novelty and non-chocolate items. The display case showing the truffles did not appear appetizing. It was early evening and the selections were either empty or half full. In one of the rooms, I saw boxes of imported chocolate filled with alcohol. There was no price on the box nor on the shelf. I had to bring a box to an employee to scan it. My daughter's best friend is such a sweetheart. She heard me talking to my daughter on FaceTime about how much I love macarons. So she stopped by here after I arrived in Texas and brought a half dozen for me. I was elated!! The box they came in is beautiful. That little extra touch with special and spectacular packaging really does mean so much. The macarons were wonderful. The best I have ever had. Perfectly fluffy and perfectly shaped. Nice and airy with flavour that exploded in my mouth. I've always been a huge fan of salted caramel, but I have to say the birthday cake was my favourite. Drove all the way from Fort Worth just to check out this candy store (yes, I'm one of THOSE people)! It's located inside the Stonebriar Centre Mall which is HUGE. This is a cute little candy shop that's separated by different rooms; the chocolate room, the gummies room and I think there was one other room. But in the middle section is a selection of candies and snacks from around the world. They also have a cold case with truffles and macarons. It was such a cute store to browse through but it was kind of a pain since we were there on a Sunday which was kinda busy. I grabbed some sour cola bottles and chocolate covered gummy bears. Then the boyfriend and I both grabbed a drink to try. I got a "Butterbeer" one (that tastes pretty close from what I remember to the Butterbeer at Universal but also really different) and he got a root beer with a really funky cap which was kinda fun to open. I'd definitely stop by here again, but maybe on a much more slower day. read more

I have been to Lollipop and Pops before, and never had a problem with the service or candy itself. But just an hour ago, we walked in at around 6:50 and me and my daughter were planning to get my husband candy. Within 20 seconds of just being in the store, we are looking at some candy when we hear a worker yell, "LADIES!! WE ARE CLOSING SO UNLESS YOU DON'T HAVE ANY IMPORTANT QUESTIONS PLEASE EXIT THE BUILDING!" It wasn't even an hour before they closed, and we're already telling us to leave. I wouldn't have even had a problem with the worker if she didn't completely yell at us with no explanation other than the store is closing. But she completely yelled at us like we had been there for 2 hours and we wouldn't leave. She had shorter, orange-y hair with glasses I'm pretty sure. I don't have a problem with the store and their delicious candy, but this worker drove me insane!! read more

I love this place! the store, the staff, the candy selection! And while things can get pricey depending on what you're buying and how much, the prices are pretty reasonable. I've now visited twice and on the first occasion took them up on the tour of the store. I HIGHLY suggest taking the tour it's informative and you get to sample FREE CANDY! The staff are all dressed up in vintage candy store uniforms. On both trips they were very helpful and friendly. There's basically every candy item your heart could desire and then some! Try the shortbread cookies with caramel and chocolate they're awesome, especially with coffee and you only need a little bit. They have different jar sizes even pails you can fill with as much candy as you can cram in. The pails make great gifts. You can even buy a token at the time of purchase to refill it at half the price. You can only get the token at that time. Highly recommend this place! read more

When I stopped by See's Candy at the mall, I asked the lovely lady if she knew where they might serve them, and she mentioned Lolli and Pops. See's Candy lady, I LOVE YOU!!! (And not just because you gave me a free chocolate sample in line!) So off to L&P I went, and seriously, as soon as I walked in...I felt like I was in an old school candy shop, with just so much charm, and candy EVERYWHERE!!! There's a whole room of just chocolate candies, all different kinds, including CHOCOLATE COVERED GUMMY BEARS!!!! They were not only the most delicious chocolate covered gummy bears I've had, but they were the most fresh, and the biggest ones too! The candy is priced by the pound, and you just scoop in as much as you want into a little plastic baggie and they measure it/price it for you at checkout. The staff was super friendly and it seemed like they enjoyed their job (although, I'm convinced I would too if I was surrounded by candy all day). Upon coming into the store it is different then any normal candy store you would walk into while you are at the mall. Spent $17 here and all the candies were melted. They also sell expired candy and do not honor the price marked on candies. I purchased a roll of Rowntrees Fruit Gums and it's clearly marked $2.25 on the roll. I didn't noticed until after I already paid that I was charged $3. When I brought this up to the cashier, his response was "That's an old sticker that hasn't been updated yet". How is that my fault? Purchased two strips of Zotz and they were all melted as well. The store is absolutely amazing! The way it's decked out & organized, it reminds me of one of the candy shops I visited in Florida, Harry Potter World. This is the only place, that you can find butterbeer, however they sell out as soon as they receive the shipment. They also have a large assortment of all types of gummy bears that seems to be made with organic ingredient. They have every jelly bean flavor known to man and every color that's ever been printed on an M&M. This place is absolutely amazing for the candy and sweets lover. read more

I wasn't planning on reviewing Lolli & Pops initially, but it needs to be reiterated that this is far from being "just another candy store." Sure, they have every type of gourmet and novelty treats that you could imagine, but what really sets them apart is the service. My first time here, I was so impressed by the tour I received- I felt like I was on vacation and transported into a literal Candy Land! My guest & I were so overjoyed to have found something so cool hidden in Stonebriar Mall that we seriously never stopped talking about it. So today at lolli and pops we thought we had had enough for two fun dips but we were only 25 cents short so the guy wouldn't give us two he would only let us buy one. I understand that it's his job but we are pretty young and we were only $.25 short he could've given it to us if he was a nice guy. Also who charges one dollar for a simple fun dip it's worth $.25 what a rip off. And then he asked us if we wanted a bag kind of sarcastically because we were only getting one fun dip because he wouldn't let us get two. And then when I said we wanted a bag he was like oh ok kind of rudely. Lolli and Pops made me feel like a kid again. This is not just any candy store, this is an experience. There are multiple rooms, each with its own theme. If you'd like a tour all you have to do is ask. The store personnel know what they are talking about. They are very accommodating without being overwhelming. And the candy...oh the candy! It speaks for itself. Some of my favorites are: sea salt caramels, assorted gummy bears, triple dipped malt balls, chewy sprees....just to name a few. Honestly, the $5 fancy rice krispie treat things they sell here are the best thing I've ever eaten, ever. Definitely try not to eat the whole thing in one sitting because there are like 4 servings per treat, each clocking in at a couple hundred calories. But definitely DO get a few different varieties because these are legitimately fancy and amazing and you'll never make plain rice krispie treats again. Anyway, the store itself is cute but the variety of "exotic" candy isn't nearly as good as what they offer at Rocket Fizz. They do have a good selection for those who like the idea of bulk candy (I don't). Lolli and Pops is a cute little store in the Stonebriar mall. It's a candy shop with a variety of chocolates and candies. We live on the Fort Worth-Crowley line and the husband will complain that Magnolia St, 7th St, and downtown Fort Worth (which are all 15-20 mins from me) are too far. Yet, he will drive all the way to Frisco..an hour away for Lolli and Pops gummy bears! I don't mind it at all. Just a little funny that he thinks 7th Street is too far but will hop in the car without hesitation to get these damn gummy bears.. I admit they are good. I'm not a big gummy bear person though. I think I walked into willy wonka's candy store right in stonebriar mall! This place is amazing! They have everything imaginable. They have these huge versions of staple candy bars like snickers, crunch, and reeses. They have a flat rate charge of $12 for their bags. So you can go crazy and mix everything! They have rooms for general candy, chocolates, and gummy candies. This candy store was neat and a step up from the ordinary candy stores. read more

I don't normally venture to this side of Stonebriar but I'm so glad I did! This place is like Willie Wonka's! Tons of candy to choose from, with British, Mexican and Japanese imports. They also have traditional American candies like Twin Bing and Zagnuts, plus several of our Texas Atkinson's yummies. If you're a Pinterest fiend like me, this is your place. Lots of color and variety for decorating cakes, cookies or having a party candy bar. They have a room full of gummies and jelly beans, a chocolate room and a third room of various colors. They have some cool looking truffles. I will be trying those soon. They have very beautiful packaging for them; looks exactly like Laduree boxes. It's been a while since high end chocolate has caught my attention. These are nice enough to give as gifts and will definitely impress. Can't wait to go back here!!!! read more

We come to the mall often to play and we love the gummy room at lolli and pops but the only way we knew it was there was because somebody was standing outside passing out gummies and sharing with us and letting us know that they were made with fruit juice. I visited lolli and pops in a airport in minneapolis and fell in love with the ripe mango gummy bears. Once i got back to texas i made it a goal to visit the one in dallas if i ever had a chance. Lolli and pops is located inside a mall in plano and doesn't look as sleek and fancy as the one in the airport. The prices are pretty high but you get more for less here rather than buying gummies at sugar fina. The sales associate also lets you sample things which is really nice. One thing that cracked me up was if you pay them 1000 dollars you get unlimited gummy beats. read more
