OH YES OH YES! This place was BANGING! The apps were to die for (the queso is a must) and the entrees were phenomenal. Beware: The portions are huge. You'll end up with food for at least 2 more meals. And let me tell you, it's just as good the second time around. Can't wait to come back! Shoutout to Lola's staff for the great service and wonderful experience

Amazing food, great service, and cozy ambiance They had a baked potato special that was DELICIOUS (pic attached). I wish they would add this on the menu. It was phenomenal. Highly recommend this restaurant

Drunken burrito

My family and I had a great experience here. the atmosphere was appealing and welcoming. the service was wonderful. I had the drunken burrito which was delicious and almost to pretty to eat. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

Dinnerware styled to look dirty? Nervous until I wiped and discovered it was part of design.

**Review: Lola's Restaurant in Longmeadow** For my birthday, we decided to try Lola's Restaurant in Longmeadow--a first-time visit to this Mexican-inspired, fine-dining establishment. While the experience was memorable, it wasn't quite what we expected. **Service & Atmosphere:** The service was impeccable, with our server being attentive and welcoming throughout the evening. The interior décor was stunning, completely transforming what was once a Friendly's into a space that exudes elegance and sophistication. It's clear that great care was taken to create a dining experience that feels special. **The Food:** Lola's isn't your typical Mexican restaurant, which became clear immediately when there were no complimentary chips and salsa--a standard at most places. Instead, we ordered the $12 *salsa flight*: three small, flavorful, but not spicy salsas, served with whole fried tortillas that you break into chips yourself. Fancy, yes, but it felt more style than substance. We also tried the *Sikil Pak*, a seasonal pumpkin seed dip with mild habanero pepper. It was tasty and unique, but again served with the fried tortilla sheets, adding to the "gourmet touch." For dinner, my wife ordered the *Nashville Tacos*, featuring chunks of fried chicken, while I had the appetizer-sized *empanadas* stuffed with chorizo and potato. Both dishes were well-prepared and presented beautifully, but the flavors leaned more haute cuisine than authentic Mexican. Dessert was a creative take on my favorite, *tres leches.* Instead of the classic sponge cake soaked in three kinds of milk, Lola's version featured a melon-sized scoop of cherry ice cream, a cherry chocolate bark chip, and cream. It was inventive, but for a purist like me, it missed the mark. **Final Thoughts:** Lola's is less about traditional Mexican food and more about reimagining it through a high-end, French-inspired lens. The flavors are subtle, the portions modest, and the prices premium. For those looking to impress or experience fine dining, Lola's delivers with its artistry and elegance. However, if you're craving traditional, hearty Mexican food with bold spices and classic dishes, this isn't the place. For us, the lack of authenticity and the high prices mean we likely won't return, as we prefer a more traditional Mexican dining experience. **Rating:** 3/5 Great service and atmosphere, but it's Mexican cuisine for a different palate--and budget.

Burrito

**3 STARS** Parking: Can be difficult to find parking directly in front of the restaurant during busy hours as Lola's shares the same parking lot with other Longmeadow shops. You may have to park closer to the CVS or where other restaurants (Posto, Max Burger, etc.) depending on what time you're there. Ambiance + Service (4/5): The restaurant interior, specifically the bar, is beautiful. Lola's would be a great first date spot as the dimly lit interior and minimalist decor gives the space a more intimate feel. Compared to other restaurants in the Western Massachussets area, Lola's is one of those restaurants that produces a more modern/upscale feel. Certain areas of the restaurant also have neon lights for those who enjoy taking photo ops! Service was good, as we went during a non-busy hour, our waiter was routinely checking on our table to ensure that our food was up to par. Food: Potato & Chorizo Emapanda (4/5): Filling was well-seasoned due to the chorizo (It can get a bit salty as chorizo is a saltier meat). The outside was fried nicely, as well without being overly greasy. This empanada crust is different from the traditional corn/baked crust, it's more airy and crispy. Taki Fuego Fried Chicken (1/5): Was disappointed in this dish due to how sweet the glaze was on the chicken. It tasted like candied chicken and adding the crushed Takis on top only provided a textural element, rather than spice. Chicken pieces were nicely fried and crispy, however, if you like spice, I would not order this dish. Caesar Salad + Add Fried Fish (2/5): The fried fish was cooked well, it wasn't overly breaded or underseasoned. However, for an additional $14-15, I didn't find that the portion was worth the price point and should have ordered the battered fish tacos instead ($16.95). Either the pecorino romano or salad dressing was extremely salty. It was difficult to finish the salad without the fish to help balance the saltiness. Would recommend asking for side dressing or light dressing instead. Drinks: Although I didn't personally order any drinks, my friend enjoyed the margaritas (Can order with a salt or sugar rim). Their other drinks, such as the pina colada which comes with a coconut paleta (popsicle) looked amazing as well. Overall, I would return for the ambiance and drinks, but the food is lackluster given the price point.

Came in today hoping for brunch but that's only done on Sunday. Instead I settled on the smashburger and she had the Al pastor tacos. The burger was beautifully put together but was much too salty for me. Her tacos were well executed and tasted very good. We also had the chip and guacamole, very tasty. All in all a good meal, just need to cut down on the salt in the burger toppings. The server was very good and attentive and the place is really nicely decorated and comfortable.

Amazing bowl, best margaritas!

Mic drop, best margaritas around. Food is great. Especially with the trio of salsa in the bowls with Carne Asada.

We heard great things about Lola's so we made reservations for brunch. The decor is very trendy, yet classic contemporary. We were greeted and seated right away. I ordered their version of a pina colada. It was on the rocks topped with a mini popsicle, so yummy! To start I had the lazy elote, which was Mexican street corn off the Cobb. This was a hit. I ordered the churro French toast and it was a party in my mouth. The portion was huge and the chef really loves their craft. Drink, app, entree and tip came to about 53.00 which is maybe a little expensive for brunch but on par for the area. Our server Robert is an industry staple and superstar!

I would give Lola's a 3.5 of 5. I wanted sooooo much to love this place. The atmosphere, decor and service was top notch. Seating was comfortable. Staff was pleasant. They really worked hard on the decor. That was a 5 for me. The drinks - $12-14/cocktail. I had a Paloma my brother a margarita. I never thought I'd say this but we both thought they were too strong. I felt like all I could taste was tequila and nothing else. Maybe some enjoy that but I don't. 3 of 5 The food: we shared app - the queso, the birria quesadilla and the lazy man elote. I was not a fan of the queso. It didn't have that smooth easy to dip consistency I looked for. It was full of vegetables and some sort of meat and I didn't love that. They give you a total of 6 small flour tortillas to dip into it... I would've wanted chips. The lazy man elote was good - good flavor. Could've used more cotija cheese. Did not like the birria quesadilla. It didn't have that cheesy melty goodness birria should have and the consome flavor was just off. It has the feel of a looser mole - that was odd. For dessert we ordered the churros. For $13 I expected a decent size dessert. It was three churros that I'm not even joking couldn't have been more than 3 to 4" long with an artificial tasting caramel dipping sauce. Should've skipped the dessert. 3 of 5. Expensive. Two cocktails, 3 apps and dessert cost $110 with tip for lunch. I've heard from friends their tacos are really good. You get two tacos, no sides for around $15-$17 so I didn't go this route, but maybe that would've been better. My friend also said their tuna tostada was good. I would maybe give it another shot. However I prefer their sister restaurants much more!

Chips and Salsa

The modern decor and upscale ambiance is very nice. The location is spacious & clean inside and our server was superb. BUT...they have a small selection compared to your typical Mexican restaurants and sides are not included. Order the "Gringo" tacos for $12.95 and you get two mostly tasteless tacos on a rack. If you want rice it's another $5.95, and beans another $5.95. One of the appetizers: Potato and Chorizo empanadas $14.95 consists of two overly-fried and overly spicy empanadas which will burn the mouth. The beef quesadillas consist of a soft tortilla, with thin slices of beef inside and a "bitter"-tasting cheese and sour cream. If you are used to a Mexican restaurant which starts you off with lot's of chips and salsa, this place doesn't do that. You will pay $11.95 and get a few hard, large chips (which you must break yourself) and a few puffed wagon-wheel shaped chips which are totally tasteless. The chips come with three small bowls of sauces - only the green one was okay for me, but t each his own. Some of my guests had the bowls, but no one finished them. I Wish I could have a better report card for Lola's, because I was really looking forward to discovering a great Mexican restaurant, where I could take my friends and family; this is not the place. Hopefully they read their reviews and make some changes to improve their menu and have some of their food taste a little more mainstream Mexican. I will be more than happy edit this when they do, because they do have a lovely location.

Top-notch atmosphere that sets it aside from your visit to the local brewery. Great place for a date night or couples get- together. Even the bartenders had coordinated aprons that added a professional touch. The menu features all sorts of things that you might not imagine finding, never mind eating at a bar- like foie gras. Everything had a touch of adventure. There were different sliders, salads, and a whole page of "pickables" - both vegetarian and non- to munch on. The cocktails are truly the reason to come here. Yes, you are going to pay the premium price per drink ($15) but you are not getting house vodka with a splash of juice and lime. Each drink has top tier ingredients and some have bonus actions as well. They have the bourbon smoker box and some thing that makes an enormous bubble on your drink. (DO THIS!) We found that as first-timers, we were met with a calm, welcoming energy by our bartender, who answered politely answered our questions without making us feel like outsiders. I would add this on a monthly date night rotation if it wasn't quire so far away.

Lenox has some really cool spots and Ombra is one of them. Recommended by a local, we stopped here on Valentine's Day after our dinner for a nice glass of wine. The place was crowded but luckily a few people were leaving so we scored some seats at the bar. I ordered a glass of Nebbiolo from Italy which was good. My husband had a beer. The place is so cute and very romantic with dim lights, a great wine selection and their food looked so good. Unfortunately, we were so full that we did not end up ordering anything. Although, the french fries were calling my name. Ombra is a place that I could see us coming to almost every week and not getting tired of it. We met a local who is very nice and told us how Ombra is very popular. I think we will have to come back in the spring/summer to get those french fries :) If you are ever in Lenox definitely make your way to Ombra for a nice glass of wine or try a cocktail. This is the perfect date night spot for sure whether you start or end your evening here, you will be happy! Cheers~
