Very incompetent staff. I went to have a teeth clean yesterday and was told that I had an unpaid bill of $95 from 2024. They said that my insurance didn't pay enough in 2024 office visit. I was never told about this bill before. My insurance covers 2 times teeth clean for free every year. How could they underpay the $137 teeth clean by $95 in 2024, and why didn't the office let me know at that time, so that I could have talked with the insurance company then. I told them I needed more explanation for this bill. After yesterday's teeth clean I paid. The front desk lady said she would only charge me the current day bill, but she turned around charged me the current plus the $95. She lied right in front of me. How can I trust them for what they claimed that I owned them what the insurance unpaid. Avoid this office!!! read more

Amazing service! I had to look for a different dentist due to mine not taking my new insurance and they had available appointment the following day. Very clean, professional and knowledgeable. Front staff very pleasant and received quotes right away. 100% recommended!! read more

Very elderly dentist was okay but thought I was getting a filling? Very weird. But the office was very bad. The girls were rude and I was told a different amount than my bill which was much bigger than my estimate. Office is very old and the tiny parking lot was full so I had to park 3 almost blocks away and by the time I got up the stairs I was freezing and sweating at the same time . I don't plan on going back. read more

Dr. Lagier is simply the best dentist I've ever had. Her exceptional skills as a practitioner are matched by her genuine care for her patients, which truly set her apart. Her attention to detail, gentle approach, and commitment to patient comfort make every visit a positive experience. What stands out most about Dr. Lagier is her unwavering dedication to her patients' well-being. She takes the time to explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure that you feel comfortable and informed every step of the way. This level of personalized care is rare and invaluable. I not only trust Dr. Lagier with my dental care, but I also enthusiastically refer all my friends to her office. Everyone I've sent her way has been equally impressed and grateful for the recommendation. If you're looking for a dentist who combines top-notch expertise with genuine compassion, look no further than Dr. Lagier. She truly is the best! I recently encountered a less-than-pleasant interaction with an office staff member over the phone. However, this does not affect my high regard for Dr. Lagier. She remains the best dentist I have ever had, and her exceptional care and professionalism far outweigh any isolated incidents with the office staff. read more

Great dental office! I've never had any problems with any of the staff, and I get seen right away at my appointment time. dr lagier is terrific. to me, she rates 5 stars for her knowledge, experience, good care and chair-side manner. i've been a patient for +10 years and have recommended her to many friends that were looking for dental care. the hygienists i have had clean my teeth over the years there have been very thorough and all rate 5 stars as well. dental rooms are always very clean and professional. the only ding i give them is due to the front office staff. also, my many interactions with one particular employee causes me to rate the office a 4. the lady is always a hassle, never pleasant to deal with on phone or in-person and yet it appears that the practice is ok with her continuing the unbecoming behavior. read more

My husband and I have just moved to the area and wouldn't you know it... I woke up with the worse tooth ache I've ever experienced. When I called, Deborah at the front desk was caring and helpful. I was able to get in and taken care of ASAP. After X-rays it was clear that a root canal was essential. I was referred to a great Endodontist and will be going back for my crown. I am very happy I've found my new family dentist and appreciate all of the time and genuine care they took in my well being. Great staff and Dr. read more

We are new to the area and was told this office was on our insurance plan. We should have asked around first. Parking was impossible. There is a small lot under the building but it was full so I drove around but couldn't find anywhere to park so I was late to my appointment. A homeless man had some cardboard set up so just as well. I would hate to take his space. With the amount of steps I had to climb I got my workout for the day. The doctor came in during my cleaning and told me what I needed. (Crowns). The girl that cleaned my teeth seemed nice enough. I guess they had just lost a hygienist and people were getting mad because they had been seeing her forever. Honestly I didn't care but I couldn't say anything I just had to sit there and listen. I am not sure if I will go back for the crowns or cleaning. read more

Before the pandemic this was the best office in Monterey and Carmel. Everyone was always friendly and professional. My family has been going here forever. Dr Lagier was ok. But since the reopening they have a new receptionist that is very rude. She kept cutting me off when I was trying to make my kids appointments and seemed put out to be making the appointments at all. If it was just a bad day I would understand but it is always like that with everyone in the front. I feel like as soon as I left the room they roasted me. And my appointment time has been changed on several appointments without my permission, then I am blamed. Two of the times I had an appointment card and showed it to the receptionist but no apologizing ever. And one of the girls that has worked in the back forever said Dr Lagier is looking to retire and when that happens she is leaving too. I am currently looking for another dentist. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Lagier's for several years now. I appreciate the organization and kindness in this office. Every hygenist that I've worked with has been kind, gentle and friendly. And Dr. Lagier is a master with crowns and other dental procedures. I recently broke a tooth on a Saturday near the holidays and she met me in the office that afternoon to put a temporary on. The office is 100% female-run, too! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Lagier for several years now. Before becoming a patient I had not seen a dentist for quite some time. Dr. Lagier and her staff were very friendly and reassuring that I was a "typical" client and that my teeth were not about to fall out! I learned so much my first visit. They swabbed my mouth for a bacteria count to know what the chemistry was like in my mouth. From there I had a check up and tooth cleaning. It was fast, easy, and very pleasant. To my surprise, no cavities! From that initial visit, I have continued on. I have received Invisalign through Dr. Lagier and now bleaching. I see Tina, the bestest Dental Hygienist there is, twice a year. After the bleaching Dr. Lagier will fix a few knicks and chips on my teeth and I will be ready for TV Teeth! I do not have dental insurance and the cash prices are very reasonable. If you are hesitant about a dentist visit, Please give Dr. Lagier a try. You will not be disappointed! Enjoy! read more

I wanted to take a moment and thank you for your services over the years. I have been a resident of Monterey the majority of my life and have found you and your staff to be exceptional in terms of my care. From the moment you arrive you are gretted by a staff that makes you feel part of a family that welcomes you and attends to your needs. Dr. Lagier has always provided great care and follow up to all my dental needs. Even when a emergency has risen, she has been quick to respond and work me in to address the issue at hand. Again thank you, and all your staff for their care, concern and ongoing commitment of making me a very happy patient. read more

Dr. Lagier's team was able to fit me in for a same day appointment to work with my schedule. My hygienist, Kelsie, was attentive and knowledgeable and performed a very thorough cleaning. I look forward to returning for another visit! read more

Love Dr. Lagier and staff. Called one night in lots of pain, they saw me the next morning at 8:30 am. I needed an emergency root canal. She was very gentle and kind and understanding, I was crying and a blubbering mess. She Referred me to a great endocrinologist and I've seen her as my dentist ever since. She did a wonderful crown and has since updated some of my previous fillings. She does great work. I've always been a nervous dental patient but Dr. Lagier always reassures me that is normal:) read more

If you are looking for a dentist, look no further. My husband's family has gone to Dr. Lagier for years and referred me after we met a few years ago. I am so grateful. This is the kindest, most professional, amazing group of dental professionals I have ever had the pleasure of being a patient with. Who puts pleasure and dental in the same sentence?! No one. Until you become a patient of Dr. Lagier and her staff. They care. They are sensitive. They are thorough. I have had some bad experiences with other dental professionals, both right before going to Dr. Lagier a couple of years ago and recently for work needed from an endodontist. Dr Lagier fixed the issues with the shoddy work done in my mouth with care and understanding and had me all fixed up in no time, restoring my faith in dentists and leaving me feeling right as rain. I've now had some issues arise with an old root canal and crown done years ago this past week and needed to see an endodontist for it. It was not a good experience and I needed her help to know what to do next. She responded with understanding, sound advice and immediate attention. She and her staff are always quick to respond, compassionate and have superb customer service skills. I just can't rave enough. I only wish she was an endodontist too so I didn't have to go anywhere else for care! Lol. I feel like a cared for patient and a valued individual and not just another person they have to deal with. That is just invaluable. Thank you Dr. Lagier and staff! read more
