Logue's has become a family tradition since I joined the Navy. This is a must, their food is A+ and their service is just as good. Their ample portions ensure that I'm always taking a "doggy bag" home. The Mac & Cheese bites are to die for. Picking one dish could be the hardest thing though, between the open faced sandwiches, and the fried chicken, and the amazing burgers, along with a plethora of sides, you could eat here for a whole month and still not find a favorite. I laugh when I see reviews on spots like this as if you thought it was gonna be some fancy restaurant. I travel to this town a couple times a year and when you're looking for a mom & pop for a bite, this works. Nothing fancy just the basics and breakfast all day. We ate here twice on our one night stay in Hannibal. We actually found it because it was just across the parking lot from our motel. We had dinner here when we arrived in town and the waitress had a lot of Southern charm. I had the teriyaki chicken, which I loved!! Mom had a hot beef sandwich with coleslaw, she liked hers too. Dad had a Western Burger and onion rings. The burger had BBQ and jalapenos on it and he really liked it. They were all so friendly and the food was so good we went back for breakfast in the morning. They had a bunch of $5 specials which was nice. I didn't get one of the specials but both my parents did. I got a cheese omelet that was really good. It came with hashbrowns and pancakes. Dad ordered hashbrowns, 2 eggs, and toast and mom had 2 bacon, 2 eggs, toast, and ordered a pancake. It was so much food for not a bad price!! Nice little place in Hannibal!! read more

We ordered food from here via take out because we were staying at the motel in the parking lot. The food was pretty darn good. I got a salad with chicken on it and my husband got the turkey club and lattice fries. My daughter didn't eat the grilled cheese, but she's two and rarely eats what we give her so I wouldn't knock the restaurant for that. My only gripe is that we didn't get cutlery or the mashed potatoes I ordered. read more

I really really really wanted to give this place a great review but I just can't do it. I've never had "home cooking" like this before, so I don't know what kind of home they are talking about. I had the veggie omelet of austerity, my friend had the taco soup and taco salad. I should have known something was up when I ordered dry American fries and the waitress said they she wasn't sure how the cook was going to do that since they are deep fried. . . they looked like those round carrots at convalescent homes but I think they were potatoes in bad oil. The sparsely loaded onion/tomato/cheese/mushroom omelet was flat flat flat and tasted off, so I think the omelet got stepped on on the way out of the kitchen. I hadn't even done anything to make anyone mad besides order food. The taco soup was cold, like a gazpacho soup, and I thought it had whipped cream on top but it was sour cream. It looked like they fried their own flour tortillas so that was somewhat encouraging but, alas, the taco salad was a disappointment. Could it be that at 11am on a Tuesday they were already running low on ingredients, which seemed packaged (the shredded cheese was dried out, the same onions and tomatoes were in my omelet)? There was nothing generous about the helpings, I paid $20.88 for the food and two coffees, and I had to flag someone down after 9 minutes of waiting just to pay my bill. Special note to travelers: Do NOT eat here if you plan on traveling more than half an hour in either direction because you WILL need to hit the facilities sooner than later -- with little or no notice. read more

Logue's Restaurant is more than just a business, it is a family. Each time you eat there you have great food made by experienced cooks and served by friendly waitresses. They great you with a smile and let you know that you are important to them. I have never had a bad meal there or left without a good feeling they were glad I came. Logue's is a locally owned, homestyle restaurant. Their breakfast is great, and a great value. I also like their burgers, homemade soups, and specials. I've never had a bad experience at Logue's, either with food or service. Also, Logue's voluntarily went smoke free before they were required to, per city ordinance. Ignore previous reviews that mention smoking. Good food, generous portion size, fair pricing, and a family owned and operated business -hard to beat that! read more

Friendly, super fast, efficient service with excellent comfort food. Easy on & off Hwy 61.

After a long day prior to checking to a local hotel happened to have stumbled into this quite cozy restaurant. My adult daughter thought she was starving and ordered the three piece chicken strip meal and I had the open face roast beef . I can't say enough about the chicken strips she had. They where the size of a dollar bill in length and width on top of being Home breaded. The ranch she used for dipping was thick homemade ranch in a generous size, like 3oz cup. She was only able to eat her side salad, 1 giant strip, and about half her fries the waitress was on cue to every need for our table. Even bring togo ranch with her Togo box for the two giant left over strips. My roast beef was very tender with a rich brown gravy. I got to full that didn't eat my mash potato and decided against bring those back to the hotel. I will definitely keep this place in mind for future swim-meet meals in Hannibal. read more

We stayed next-door to this place for 3 days on a trip to Hannibal, and we ate several meals there. The food was always excellent, and the service was always extremely friendly. Portions are huge, and their specialty tenderloin sandwich would have been enough to feed us both. Yes, smoking's allowed, but it wasn't that big of a deal to us. Terrible restaurant ... avoid at all cost. Owner treats staff and customers terribly. Had an incident with entire family where the owner had several employees out sick, continued to seat customers anyway, leaving us to wait almost 40 minutes without any signs of food. After our frustration was voiced to the waitress the owner stormed out to address us and "our problem." This forced us to defend our frustration, and after being ordered to sit down (and I stood up after he tried to intimidate by standing over me), I refused to sit down ... then we were all promptly told to leave the property and never return. The issue: Due to the owner's greed and disregard for his employees, we the customers were seated when the owner had no business over-burdening his staff with customers they couldn't serve in a timely manner. He should have politely told us the situation and how long it was going to be if we elected to stay. We would have gone to a different restaurant, but we would have been back to his establishment on a different day. Now, we will never go back, as I recommend to anyone reading this to save their money, and more importantly their time, and never go to Logue's in the first place. read more

I wish I could give it lower than one star! I just wanted to let you know, you have some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. My family and I can't in Friday evening and it was horrible. We had had a long day at the hospital visiting my grandmother who was recovering from a stroke. We we're tried stressed and hungry. First your hostess grabbed menus and just walked away without speaking to us. She stopped at a table and just stared at us. I had to ask if she wanted us at that table. Then we wanted tea, but were told they were not making anymore because they closed in an hour. We had 7 people and could have drank a whole pitcher. Then half of the table wanted the catfish special, but they were also out. So we settled with the other special, the stuffed turkey sandwich. After about 20 minutes the food was coming out and half the table was told that oh they are OUT of the turkey! So while half of us are the others waited on something else. One customer at our table only ordered a chicken salad, and was the last to get her food due to running out of the chicken that goes on top of the salad. This is so unacceptable, and horrible service. There was a major who went to another table and talked to them but no one other than our waitress apologized. There were 2 waitresses for the entire restaurant. I really do not know how you stay in business. read more

My Aunt and I used to eat there once a month until today. Today, rather than ordering the tenderloin, I ordered the Cod fish dinner. The menu stated it was 2 4oz portions of cod with two sides. I ordered it. When it got to the table, it was a fish sandwich. I told the waitress it wasn't what I'd ordered, as I'd ordered the cod dinner. She took the plate back and the same piece of fish came out on the platter. She said, "He's cooking you another piece of fish. It'll be out shortly." Now, the 2"x3" piece of fish wasn't a 4oz portion. 2ounces maybe, but not 4. I told her, "Ma'am, that's not a 4oz portion." She said, "I'll go get the owner!" like it was a threat. I said, "Do that..." remaining calm, cool, and collected. He came out and stood over me, and glared, and said, "Is there a problem?" I said, "It's not what I ordered." He took the platter and threw it into the bus bin. I stared at my aunt and asked, "Is he making me another plate?" and she said, "I don't know!" The waitress came out and said, "Your bill has been expunged. Please leave.". She said it so low that my Aunt didn't hear her. I said to my Aunt, "Come on, we're getting thrown out. I guess you can't make a complaint here!". She said, "WHAT! and I repeated myself. She said, "Well I'll talk with him!" and I went outside. Apparently, he told her he didn't want OUR KIND in his restaurant. I didn't hear that, but I did hear him when he followed her out of the restaurant and told me, "Don't come back. I don't need that bullshit anymore!" I told him, "Don't worry. It won't happen!" Now, my aunt has had retiree dinners here every month for the last 5 or 6 years. She's not welcome back, so those 50 people won't be there any longer. I've told friends. She's told friends and ALL of them have said I shouldn't have been surprised because he cusses his help just as bad. My comment to that was, "I wasn't his employee, I was a customer!" read more

I have decided to give this place a 1 star for the fact nobody reads anything higher. Negative events are more memorable and emotionally impactful than good ones. As for the dining experience, it is dependent on one's perception process of interpretation of how one assigns meaning to the dining experience. Example: A long wait time because of being crowded might be acceptable to me, while others it is not. This is also dependent on when the place is visited. I would expect a longer wait during the typical "feeding" times of humans. As for the food, my family most generally eats their breakfast. A pleasant time to sit as a family without being plugged into battery powered device. Don't mind the cost since the plates are generally scraped clean prior to leaving. My experience has been predominately splendid with a slight tad of dismissal. When a business feeds this many people they will unfortunately never suffice everyone all the time. Especially with some reviewers having entitlement syndrome. As for my opinion it is worth the visit. read more
