I thought he was doing a good job. He said he was fixing my problems. He said he had it figured…read moreout. I bought parts and he came over and replaced all these parts. I hired him for four things. The first problem - my car smells badly of gas. He changed the gasket on the fuel pump that is under the backseat. My car still smells like gas. The check engine light was on. And my car sort of starts up slowly. He put the diagnostic tool on the car and it told him to change the thermostat. So I bought the thermostat. He replaced it. Unfortunately, The check engine light is still on, and my car still does not start up normally. It takes turning over many times to start. The third thing I hired him to do was to fix the car vibrating when you hit the brakes at higher speed. I test drove it after he finished the work, but I guess I did not bring it up to high enough speed to feel it vibrate. He basically lubricated the brakes and he said that should take care of the problem. But it did not take care of the problem and the car still vibrates. He claims that he did good work because he lubricated the brakes. But he did not fix the problem. The fourth thing I heard was change the rear camera. That works. one of the three things that I hired him to do, does work better. Now he's over here arguing with me that he did all this work. But he can't seem to understand that he didn't actually fix three of the four problems have. Basically, I paid him almost $500 to do a bunch of work that solved almost none of the problems that I was having with my car. Somehow he feels justified that he actually did some work so he feels like he earned his money. But I didnt hire him to do random work, I hired him to fix problems. He does not seem to understand that.

Easy to schedule, very fast to reply with a quote. Shop experience: very professional,…read moreknowledgeable and polite people. They found the problem, fixed it properly and did some maintenance that I asked them to do. All in a very timely manner and at a very reasonable price. They also took the time to explain the process and what parts and fluids were needed. Overall: very positive experience, professional, knowledgeable and honest mechanics. This is the place to go for transmission repairs.

Have been contemplating whether or not to write a review. Have been coming to this shop for over 4…read moreyears and had been making referrals to anyone that needed an honest and affordable mechanic. Sadly, I no longer believe this to be true of this shop. And to be clear, I think the tech is doing most of this and maybe the owner isn't aware but it's hard to tell who is the source of the problem. The last two times I have had a poor experience. Last summer (June 2024) I had a check engine light on and needed the evap purge value solenoid replaced. Got it done plus a new gas gap and was charged about $460. The parts alone were (44 for the solenoid and 16.93 for gas cap - found online and at autozone for comparable pricing). I was charged $198 for parts and another $250 for the labor. I asked about this up-charge as it didn't make sense to me. I was then told by the tech that I had a leak due to a small crack in the vapor canister as well but it was "fixed" and this wouldn't show up on the print out because they were doing me a solid, and I was good to go (where the up-charge supposedly came in- as it was explained to me). Ok fine, cool, appreciate it. Car fixed, move on. Come February 2025, my check engine light came on again and I would be unable to pass smog due to it reading a similar code to June 2024. It turns out this time it's a bigger crack and the vapor canister needed to be replaced - so my issue in June 2024 wasn't fixed, got worse, and was now going to be expensive to fix. I needed to have it fixed immediately because I needed to pass smog and renew my registration. The part runs for $195 - again found online and autozone for comparable pricing. I was charged $433 for parts and another $470 for labor. However I did ask for an oil change this time so that's some of that labor cost and possible part cost. I still don't understand why it was $433 in parts and why I needed to get it replaced when it was supposedly fixed 8 months prior. When I talked to the tech about this, he went on and on about how it was a different code, I stated you told it me it got fixed so you're admitting that you didn't fix it in June after all. Well no, it's a different code and so on and so on (yeah for a big crack this time). The reason for my review after a considerable amount of time is that a similar situation just happened to my wife. Quoted one thing, parted out a price for something that's under warranty, and having to pay a large amount for labor also reporting the brakes would be this much with charging $175-200 and hour for labor which would take two hours do change the brakes. The brake job was declined as it can be done cheaper elsewhere and then come to find out another service needed to be completed now that wasn't first stated. Seems like they got to make their money one way or another. After declining adding the brake job, the tech became upset and had an attitude. We had been waiting for a call on whether to pick up the car or not, didn't get a call but got a text about 2 hours after closing. When my wife went in the next day to pay and pick up the car, she talked to the owner about her experience with the tech and she was shushed. Literally shushed. Incredible! The same tech that told her prior that he worked in another shop where he was told to go find something wrong with every car that came in. Seems like he carried this same mentality and practice when he came to this shop. I get times are harder in this growing/harsh economy, but some things are just wrong. I'm not sure if it is just the mechanic standard to up-charge so much so "we can make money," something they do to take advantage of women (being up-charged because we "don't know any better") or if this is a newer process for this shop. Whatever way you cut it, it's wrong and I'd look elsewhere.
