But as I was about to leave and cross the very large desert, grandma got into my head again and said "did you check your oil?" She wouldn't get out of my head! I really needed to get on the road for the long haul ahead of me and I wasn't that familiar with this particular car to get into adding my own so I stopped by A-1 and they were so wonderful. They had just opened and saw me anyway and had me quickly and safely back on the road even though I was that annoying person who should have planned ahead and had an appointment while I was in the town. They were super nice too. Moral of the story: Listen to your grandmother the first time, go to A-1 for auto repair.

BEWARE OF MESQUITE AUTO SERVICE!…read more It is with deep regret that I have to write this review. I have been struggling over this for almost 8 months. I'm not the type to write negative reviews. I have referred many people to Mesquite Auto Service. I have a 2009 Volvo that had a squeak when I went over bumps that was quite noisy and bothered me for about two years. I figured it was probably the struts. I usually put Volvo parts on my car because they are made much better. Paulino, the owner of Mesquite Auto Service, told me I would be better off if he installed Duralast struts on my car. When I drove off, I noticed that the squeak was even louder. I said something to his mechanic, and he said that he did hear a lot of noise and he wondered about it. Also, when I turned the steering wheel to the left, there was a scraping noise. So I took the car to Volvo. I was told that the top bolt wasn't even hand tightened. They also said that a part wasn't positioned properly and was rubbing against the drum of the wheel. So they had to fix that. They told me it was the struts, and I had a hard time believing it because I said I just put new struts on it. I went for a month driving it that way, and took it back to Mesquite Auto Service. They couldn't figure out why it was still making so much noise. Again, I took it back to Volvo, and they said for sure it was coming from the struts. The mechanic showed me the difference between Duralast and Volvo struts. The Volvo struts were twice as thick, and there were rubber seals on the top and the bottom of it. So I spent the money to have them put struts on it. I drove it off the lot, and the noise was totally gone, and the car had never ridden smoother. I returned to Mesquite Auto Service, I was told by Paulino that Duralast would only send me another pair of struts, which did me no favors because I had already put the Volvo struts on the car. I just left the struts with them because I said, "There's nothing I can do with them. Maybe you can use them on another car". It cost me a lot of money for them to put the Duralast struts on, and they offered me nothing back. I asked them to contact Duralast to see if there was something they could do and was hoping that Mesquite Auto Service would give me some kind of a discount on it. Nothing at all was offered other than a new pair of struts to be sent from Duralast. That obviously didn't mean no good since I just paid to have the Volvo struts put on. I used to refer quite a few people to them. I will no longer be doing that.

Truck is still broken. Charged 35.00 a day for storage for a total of 3 weeks!! Then charged another 350.00 to put 5 blade fuses in! DO NOT use these frauds. They stole serpentine belt, loosened the pulley's and stole parts off of the truck. It went into the shop for a transmission issue, and they tore into the ENGINE!!! It was a 2013 Dodge Longhorn. None of the fuses were even replaced! The father passed away and the son is running it. He is rolling over in his GRAVE right now, I am sure. Pathetic that he honors his dad this way. A thief, liar, and a fraud. If you use their services.... after you get robbed, you will remember this review. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

Lack of trained personnel or don't care shout cut attitude! Recommends service/parts that is not…read morewarranted. Took a 2022 Ford Expedition in for a coolant system flush and refill with factory 56/44 antifreeze; owner provided. First time used their 50/50 antifreeze after service writer specified owners 56/44. Second time only put 2 gal in a 4 gal coolant system. Suspect the 2 gal was done the first time. Third try, put in 4 gal ish. After running vehicle 15 min on the road going home coolant reservoir tank took approx .75 gal more to fill the system. Was also told and in writing the vehicle cabin air filter was " critical" and needed changing. Filter was new and installed for only one week before being told it needed changing. Indications from others that Mesquite Ford commonly recommends repairs/parts when not needed. Be aware of your go there.
