BEWARE OF MESQUITE AUTO SERVICE!…read more It is with deep regret that I have to write this review. I have been struggling over this for almost 8 months. I'm not the type to write negative reviews. I have referred many people to Mesquite Auto Service. I have a 2009 Volvo that had a squeak when I went over bumps that was quite noisy and bothered me for about two years. I figured it was probably the struts. I usually put Volvo parts on my car because they are made much better. Paulino, the owner of Mesquite Auto Service, told me I would be better off if he installed Duralast struts on my car. When I drove off, I noticed that the squeak was even louder. I said something to his mechanic, and he said that he did hear a lot of noise and he wondered about it. Also, when I turned the steering wheel to the left, there was a scraping noise. So I took the car to Volvo. I was told that the top bolt wasn't even hand tightened. They also said that a part wasn't positioned properly and was rubbing against the drum of the wheel. So they had to fix that. They told me it was the struts, and I had a hard time believing it because I said I just put new struts on it. I went for a month driving it that way, and took it back to Mesquite Auto Service. They couldn't figure out why it was still making so much noise. Again, I took it back to Volvo, and they said for sure it was coming from the struts. The mechanic showed me the difference between Duralast and Volvo struts. The Volvo struts were twice as thick, and there were rubber seals on the top and the bottom of it. So I spent the money to have them put struts on it. I drove it off the lot, and the noise was totally gone, and the car had never ridden smoother. I returned to Mesquite Auto Service, I was told by Paulino that Duralast would only send me another pair of struts, which did me no favors because I had already put the Volvo struts on the car. I just left the struts with them because I said, "There's nothing I can do with them. Maybe you can use them on another car". It cost me a lot of money for them to put the Duralast struts on, and they offered me nothing back. I asked them to contact Duralast to see if there was something they could do and was hoping that Mesquite Auto Service would give me some kind of a discount on it. Nothing at all was offered other than a new pair of struts to be sent from Duralast. That obviously didn't mean no good since I just paid to have the Volvo struts put on. I used to refer quite a few people to them. I will no longer be doing that.

We…read morewere heading out of town with our bluebird bus to visit My husbands dad in Vegas who was in the hospital and to go to San Diego as my grandma had just passed away. We got all ready and even got brand new tires all around at the semi tire stop at the flying J (review to come) and the bus blew a huge cloud of black smoke and the engine died! We were on I15 for over 8 hours waiting on our insurance to secure a tow for us. The insurance never could get it towed but thankfully we had done our own calling and had a mobile mechanic come out. He concluded the job was way to big for a side of an interstate. He recommended a tie company who picked our rig up the next day and to John's we went. They told us to go handle our family and we did just that while the assessed and cared for our bus which mind you is our home much of the year! We required an engine rebuild due to the dreaded crank pin! Several parts snd weeks later along with their extremely wonderful hospitality we were back running - stronger than ever! We are so thankful for Larry Landon and the whole crew. Last night just after breaking in the engine a couple weeks we were here parked in the high country in Arizona - we drove strong , up and down elevations, and it sounded beautiful

They knew I was in a tough spot and got me right into a bay and got busy. Walked to the bank to get $, grabbed a snack and the job was done. Settled up knowing that I would be paying a bit more than usual for a blown plug. I didn't have what I needed with me to do it myself but that's life. Gladly paid the bill and was back on the road in 2 hours. Real nice guys and can't thank them enough. Saved my arse and glad I found this spot.
