I have been bringing my two cars to ACT for almost 2 years now and will not go anywhere else. They are very professional, have diagnosed a TIPM issue with my 2009 Jeep that even Chapman Dealership wouldn't recognize or confirm even though it is all over the jeep digital blogs etc. They are quick, efficient and will even give me a ride to and from if I need it. The front desk is so knowledgeable; Royce has been working in the automotive industry for decades and knows his stuff. I have also had my 2 Genesis' in there for service and body work. Had to get a starter replaced but didn't know it. AAA towed it over and ACT took over from there. You're always nervous when you take your vehicle to the mechanic but knowing the good history of this place made it easier. Went through Royce and his team who were able to accurately diagnose and solve the issue. Cost was slightly less than the quoted price and vehicle runs great after the work it had done here. ACT Auto Care & Collision Center, aka Automotive Certified Technicians, failed me in every possible way. I am dissatisfied with their body repair to my car. The following is a summary and doesn't include many issues I've encountered since I brought my car in to ACT for body repair in August 2020. In addition, throughout this ordeal, there have been times when ACT's auto body representative was rude and disrespectful to me. He and the owner, Keith, have lied to me also. I first took my car in to ACT in Aug 2020 to have auto body work done. It was in and out of the shop multiple times over a two month period to get the repair work done correctly. There are multiple defects in the paint on the hood and bumper. Dirt trapped under a trim tape that they replaced around a window. The clear bra was never replaced on the bumper they installed. Edges on the bumper where the clear coat is lumpy and a paint drip on the hood never smoothed down. The owner, Keith, lied to me when he told me those edges and the paint drip would be smoothed down. They weren't. Stains on my upholstery and carpet from when they took my car, without my permission, out of state to have a portion of the clear bra installed. The bumper is not aligned with the fender and a corner does not lay flat. I do not recommend taking your vehicle to ACT for body repair. ACT is not honorable, they clearly do inferior workmanship, they do not possess the skills to do decent and satisfactory auto body repair. See a photo of the headlight they installed on my car below. We were returning to San Diego from a Montana ski trip and 50 miles from Las Vegas, in the middle of nowhere, the Chevy Express fuel pump dies. Had it towed to Mesquite, got a recommendation for A.C.T. from a Best Western motel manager, which corroborated a AAA recommendation. Had it towed to them, in at 10AM, we waited in their customer lounge, out at 2PM. Service manager Jason Burton kept us informed the whole time about the work progress. Price was right in the middle of the estimates we saw online. Very professional in every respect, I'd give them 10 stars if I could. read more

I've Brought my jeep to ACT twice now with excellent experiences. The 1st was for a radiator replacement and the 2nd time was for an upgrade to my tie rod system. Act auto care in Mesquite was a nightmare. We were headed to go camping in Utah from Las Vegas on a Tuesday and we broke down on the side of the I-15 North. It looked like the water pump failed which was just repaid under Napa Autocare warranty. We called Napa and saw that ACT in Mesquite would be our closest option. I called ACT before calling a tow truck to confirm they were registered with Napa autocare and they said "yes no problem have it towed here". While out camping we went back to a spot we could call them numerous times to communicate with ACT. Initially they said it was definitely the water pump and could also be a head gasket. I informed them that the water pump was covered under Napa Autocare after being quoted 600 to 700 for the repair. The owner Royce said he was waiting for Napa to call him back to confirm. The next day after he still said that he was waiting on a call back I contacted Napa and they told me that no mechanic had ever called... then upon calling Royce back and explaining this we were told "oh were trying to run a test on the head gasket to make sure that's not blown but it's almost impossible without fixing the water pump and to fix the water pump we need proof that it's covered". Day 3 they said "oh well we might need to order a water pump in and might not have someone to work on it (what?!). Also we haven't gotten proof that the water pump is covered under Napa". So then I sent them the invoice from the repair of the water pump from my mechanic in Vegas and the warranty information from Napa. They continued to say they needed to call Napa to "verify" the information. Finally Royce had called Napa and he told me oh Napa verified the information but he then told me he'd have to fix it before getting paid and wasnt comfortable with that (I have never had car repairs where I had to pay before the repair was finished so why was this so odd to Royce?). Friday when it was finally time to return home I had to have a friend use AAA to tow it back to my mechanic in Vegas because ACT in Mesquite didn't do a single thing to fix it or try to solve the issue the whole 4 days. Then when trying to get my key back to give to the tow truck driver Royce couldn't find the key!! It took 15 minutes for them to give my key back when they didn't even touch the car! ACT is a complete joke. They shouldn't be a registered Napa auto mechanic if they can't help Napa customers. Take your car to the other Napa auto mechanic in Mesquite, I think any mechanic will be better than Royce and his shop. read more

I took my car here for some repairs and an alignment. They did not do the alignment correctly, told me to "take it to the dealer to have the computer reset." Took it to the dealer, not a damn thing is wrong with the computer, they just never aligned it. Called them up to give them a chance to fix it, they told me I would have to pay for an alignment AGAIN even though they never did it correctly in the first place! They charged me $104.93+tax for absolutely nothing! read more

i try to never give a bad review unless absolutely in my mind, people need to be warned. This is one of those situations where a bad review is actually is warranted. I won't be able to go into everything, but do yourself a favor and type their name into Google and see how many other people have left their experiences with this shop, in the form of bad reviews. Wish i had done that myself, before using them. They were referred by the Ford dealership in town, as Ford said they don't do repairs themselves. Trusted Ford, bad mistake! ACT gave me an estimate for repairs, it seemed fair and reasonable. Went ahead with them and basically everything they said they repaired was wrong, including not replacing some of the stuff they said they were going to replace in the estimate, then never stating they didn't replace parts, until after I caught them, and then they gave the excuse they 'forgot'. i dealt with Josey, the same guy most people refer to in their bad reviews also. Paint repair was absolutely terrible, said they were going to fix it, then did nothing, and the list goes on and on and on. Tried to talk to the owner, of which they wont' give you that info but found out its the owners son you deal with at the shop. Go figure. I am checking into the better business bureau right now and will check into other avenues for help, as they haven't even offered a refund for the things they agreed they forgot to repair but charged me for..... My advice is to NOT go to Automotive Certified Technitions in Mesquite Nevada at any cost! After my bad repair work from them, I then spoke of it to a couple of buddies that then said;"oh no, no", and proceeded to tell me their stories. Thats 3 for 3, or 100% of bad work out of this shop, on 2 other people incl myself. Do yourself a favor and go to Vegas or Saint George as this town is too small and doesn't have much to choose from. Now that the Ford dealership is referring people to them, and you've heard what you get from the reviews, I don't trust that Ford dealership either. Sorry, we retired people may be older than you people still working, but that doesn't mean we don't have brains. Obviously this shop works to pull one over on people and gets their money that way by making promises and banking on the hope you won't call them on their crap. May 2015 I had a blowout just North of Mesquite NV causing heavy damage to the front end of my vehicle. A tow service was dispatched to get my vehicle to a repair shop. Although I reside in Las Vegas I chose to have the vehicle towed to Automotive Certified Technicians Car in Mesquite. In short: one of the most fortunate decisions I ever made. The entire experience with ACT from the estimate to the end result exceeded my expectations of having this repair professionally and swiftly completed. I highly recommend this business.
