Mike Bell is quite the businessman. When our car's transmission blew in Mesquite, he explained our situation not only to us, but to our mechanic back home. Our car was done. We were heading to Southern California. We could only find one car rental company that would rent us a car one way for $611...before taxes, fees etc. He offered to drive us to our destination for $400...and hauled all the stuff we had in our car. He was a life saver. AND he is going to have our car disposed of with no hassle to us. We were so grateful to have Mike's help. If you need help...call Mike Bell!! read more

Mike was amazing! He got us in during our emergency while traveling from out of state. He was fair and honest. Didn't try to gauge us. We were so grateful. read more

I was really nervous when my car broke down on a freeway off ramp in an unfamiliar location. Anytime Towing In Mesquite, NV rescued me and the driver took me to a shop that he felt was a good fit for my cars needs. (Great service). Mike Bell, the owner of Bell Tuning got busy right away. He explained in detail what the problem could be and how much it could cost. His Ace mechanic looked things over and gave me a fix to get me home to Phoenix without having to stay a day or more for a permanent fix. Mike could be like a lot of lesser people and charge me big bucks and lost time. His genuine honesty and knowledge made my day a whole lot better! Now I'm going home with the knowledge that I need to get my car fixed without being stranded in a hotel! There are great people in the world and I am grateful that I found one of them! read more

Mike at Bell Tuning is the most TRUSTWORTHY and helpful mechanic I've ever met. Hands down. My girlfriend and I were traveling cross country from LA to Nebraska and broke down right outside Mesquite late in the night. Dead engine. We used AAA and our tow-truck driver highly recommended Mike at Bell Tuning. We stayed at a hotel and Mike called me the next morning, informing me he was already in the process of dealing with Kia, trying to get it approved for a recall so they'd pick it up and fix it for free. Keep in mind, this means he'd make no money off this expensive repair. We reached out to Kia as well and they unfortunately said no on the recall because the car had over 100,000 miles and was past the recall date. Mike allowed us lots of time to figure out what we needed to do and gave us the option of a great deal on a refurbished engine if we wanted it. We continued trying to make the recall happen, calling various Kias in Vegas and St. George. Mike even hopped on a three-way call with us and a Kia representative, explaining why they should replace the engine for free, even though this meant he'd make no money off our broken down car. It was his testimony that ultimately persuaded the St. George Kia to fix the car for free. Mike even helped facilitate the tow pick-up with AAA to get it to St. George, since we were back in Nebraska. Thanks to Mike's helpfulness and honesty I got a brand new engine in my Kia FOR FREE! This car will last for a LONG LONG TIME NOW!! If I ever break down again, I pray it's near Mesquite, NV and the wonderful guys at Bell Tuning!! read more

Very quick, thorough service at a fair price during a family road trip when the AC went out in 115 degree weather. Lifesavers!

Mike and his team were amazing! Truly some of the most knowledgeable mechanics I've met, especially when it comes to diesels. My family and I were on a road trip and my dad's truck broke down. In a very stressful situation, Mike did everything he could to make our lives easier. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem (a blown high pressure engine oil pump) and discussed all our options for getting this truck fixed and how to continue on our trip. He drove my parents to the nearby shuttle so they could head to Vegas for a rental car and drove me to a hotel. Fast forward to a week later and Mike had rushed to get our truck done in time for us to pick it up on our way home to California. Their prices are very fair! All said and done the bill came out to much less than we had previously anticipated. read more

All I can say is that Buddy and Brian saved the day by finding the coolant leak and repairing punctured tubing and ge8us back on the road in a couple of hours. Our Chevy Express made it back home 200 miles away with no problem. read more

We are on a month long trip across the US and we're on our first day out. We developed a problem with our power steering pump ( or so we thought)...the hotel we stayed at recommended Bell Tuning. I called him at 7:30am and explained our situation. Mike said to come on in and he would "see what he could do for us"...We arrived on time and he assured us that he could take care of our problem. While we were waiting two different women came in and sang his praises...said he has even come to their houses to take care of their car troubles when they had trouble getting their cars to the shop...he quickly identified our problem ( not what we thought) and had us out of the shop within an hour...on top of that, his bill was way much lower than we expected ( large tip to the mechanic!). I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP...MIKE UNDERSTANDS EXCELLENT SERVICE!! Thank you Mike - you saved our day read more

I was driving back to California from a long, 2 week road trip with my kids and I knew we had an issue with the brakes. Called these guys and got in the same day (on a Sunday) before we had to get back to CA. They were fast, fairly priced, no frills, no sales pitch. Definitely saved what could have been a terrible day on the very tail end of our vacation. Definitely recommend! read more

Air went out -it was only about 110. We are from CA so not used to that at all! Ryan was so helpful- I immediately trusted him. I know he did the best he could- ordered the part and had it installed and cleaned up the next day. And didn't even mind that I kept bugging him and calling him Clive! Bottom line you can trust he'll get the job done, done quick, and done right! Thx Clive aka Ryan! read more

Mike is super knowledgeable, broke down on I-15 and were able to get back on the road quickly :)

Had my car towed to the shop after my wheel came off. I had my insurance come out and inspect the vehicle only the wheel needed to be replaced. I decided to leave my car there until the new wheel arived (took over two weeks) I came to the shop regularly to check on the status of the wheels arrival. During a visit Brian who was not the tech who worked on my car let me know that he drove my car (said it ran smooth). When I finally came back to pick my car up it did not run in any way than when I left it. The tech "troubleshooted" my car and said it sounded like a clutch issue (not something I had ever had an issue with in the past) and also clamed that the oil was low (which was absolutely false) The owner took off as fast as he could as he claimed that he had somewhere else to be. I approached the shop at a later date, and tried to be professional in airing my greavences and was told by the owner "I should just accept that there was something wrong with my car", and to "get out of his shop". Upon collecting my car there was almost no tread on the rear tires, the alternator was burned out, the clutch was burned out, and the flywheel needed to be replaced. I always took care of my car, and had instilled my trust in Bell by leaving it there as long as I did which is my mistake. The amount of money I've had to expend to get it back running is staggering. Please think before you take your vehicle here unless you have no other choice. read more

I CANNOT RECOMMEND THESE GUYS ENOUGH. Not only are they extremely knowledgeable and capable, but altruistic to boot. They took me in same day that I broke down trying to get my wife and bus home to Jersey. These guys treated me with respect, imparted knowledge, got me up and running again and were TOO fair with the prices they charged me to boot. Mike, his son and Steve - we are forever grateful to these guys - how they helped us AND treated us. But.. don't bring your RVs or shuttle buses to em... they really would rather not work on those pains in the ass read more

My boyfriend and I were on a long road trip from Indiana to California in my 2004 Prius and it just so happened to start problems right when we got into Nevada. As confused as we were, we got a tow to Bell Tuning and we were greeted and helped right away. They figured out the problem and had to order a part that came the next day so we stayed at a close hotel for the night. I've never had such amazing customer service at an auto shop. Everyone was so friendly and Chris even gave us a ride to the hotel! Our car was done by 3pm the next day and drives even better than before! Thank you Bell Tuning! read more

The brakes on my car were making a terrible grinding noise. I called Bell Tuning for an appointment to inspect my brakes the next day. My A/C went out in the middle of the Virgin Gorge on my trip to CA from St. George when the temp was already 109. Getting off at Mesquite, I parked and went to Yelp to find great reviews for Bell Tune-Up. Mike did a diagnostic and found a leak. He replaced the Shradder valves and charged the system. I was back on the road within 2-ish hrs for the remainder of my 5 hr, 114 degree high drive to CA in complete coolness and comfort for a very fair price! I make this trip often and I'm very grateful to find someone I can trust will be honest and fair if I ever have another problem. Thank you Yelp & Bell! read more

We recently had to drop off our trailer here in the middle of the night. By early next morning, the guys at Bell Tuning had looked into our frozen wheel bearing problem, taken it apart, and made many calls to try to get parts. Unfortunately, we needed a replacement for a part that was no longer supported or available. While we weren't able to leave our trailer with Bell for a complete axle replacement (due to being from out of town), we were very thankful for all the legwork they did do in getting answers for us! On top of that, they were way more than fair in what we paid them! read more

We limped into Mesquite and got his phone number. Mike came right over to see what was wrong and took our pickup to his shop. He kept in contact with us and informed us what was going on while we waited on parts. He stayed and made sure the job was done when he said he would have it done. Our pickup runs quieter than it ever has! Thank you Mike! read more

My VW Van alternator belt and bracket broke on the highway and after taking it a shop that I wasn't pleased with, I sent it over to these guys and I should have sent it to them first. I was told by the other shop I would have to stay another day bc of lack of parts but these guys got on the phone and called around. I was back on the road in a few hours and I couldn't have been more happy. They treated me right personally and money wise too. It's a scary thing already when you are broke down in a strange town but these guys will treat you right and go above and beyond to get you back on the road! read more

Driving along the I 15 headed to Arizona after a wedding and bam our battery light on the dash lights up. It is 3:30 on a Saturday. We Siri for auto mechanics and Bell shows up with 5 stars. We call and they had just called but said bring it in and we will see what we can do. They immediately test it and find out it is the alternator. Good thing we stopped because we would of not had lights when it got dark. They immediately called for a part and we are waiting for it to be delivered. So glad yelp helped us find Bell. They are no nonsense let's get it done. read more
