It seems like its dealer price now , and they charge you for the diagnostic fee even if you do the work with them...not cool. Probably still an honest shop, but pricey. update: Thanks for responding. I understand your explanation that diagnostic work involves skilled technician time and has value. My disappointment is really about the change in how MVR handled this compared with my experience as a customer for more than a decade. In the past, I did not encounter a policy of charging a separate diagnostic fee when I had the repair performed there. What bothered me most was less the dollar amount than the decision to rigidly enforce the charge with a longtime customer. Even if MVR believed the fee was technically appropriate, I think simply saying, "You've been with us for many years, there was clearly a misunderstanding, so we'll waive/refund it this time," would have created tremendous goodwill. Instead, the experience left me feeling that MVR has become considerably more expensive and transactional than the shop I had relied on for many years. Unfortunately, preserving the diagnostic fee ended up costing MVR both this repair and a longtime customer. That is why I left the review I did.

I'm so happy that we found MVR. It was actually a recommendation from a body shop. My Honda was out…read moreof warranty so I decided I should no longer go to the dealer for service. Ardi was very thorough about explaining everything that was needed done or things I can do later. I took my car in for oil change and just a few other things. I waited in their waiting room and it was comfortable. It took two hours as Ardi predicted. Services here are definitely less costly than taking it to the dealer. Very glad we found an honest mechanic.

I'm disappointed with my experience at Auto Dynamic Services. This was my second interaction with…read morethe shop, and I felt the situation was not handled effectively. My mother dropped off her car on September 16 and authorized the $89 diagnostic. After the shop emailed its findings, she spoke with a representative around September 19 about the next steps. When she tried to arrange pickup and towing, she was told the diagnostic fee had to be paid before the car could be released. My mother was working and couldn't come in to pay at that time. My understanding is that the shop agreed to waive storage fees if she paid the $89 on Tuesday, September 22. We were also told that if payment wasn't made by then, storage charges would apply starting from the day the car was dropped off. She wasn't paid on Tuesday and couldn't make the payment. She says she called the shop beforehand, although the shop said it had no record of that communication. I wasn't involved in the situation until September 25, when I came in prepared to resolve the matter and pay for the repairs in full. The shop reduced the storage charge from $600 to $300, while the $89 diagnostic fee remained applicable. I appreciate that reduction. However, the shop declined to proceed with the repairs, and we left without the car being serviced. I understand that businesses have policies and expenses to manage, and I understand that there may have been a communication breakdown. Still, things are expensive for people right now, and I would have hoped the goal of a service business would be to help find a way forward when a customer is trying to resolve the issue. I came in ready to pay for the repairs, only three days after the agreed payment date, but the shop chose not to take on the work. That left the situation feeling strange and difficult to understand. My concern is not only the storage charge. It's the different understandings about the payment arrangement and communication, and that the repair did not move forward even when I came in prepared to pay. Based on this experience and my previous interaction with the shop, I cannot recommend Auto Dynamic Services.

My insurance company gave me a few repair shops to choose from, and I decided to go with Velocity…read moreCollision Center. Looking back, I regret that decision because I expected much better workmanship and customer service. The damage to my vehicle was relatively minor. The front edge of the hood was slightly bent, but the paint was in good condition before the repair. When I picked up my vehicle, I immediately noticed the poor paintwork on the hood. The finish was uneven and not smooth, and the imperfections were very noticeable. It was disappointing to see my vehicle returned in that condition, especially when the paint looked better before the repairs were done. I brought my concerns to their attention, but instead of acknowledging the imperfections, they gave me an explanation about what supposedly caused them, which, in my opinion, had nothing to do with the actual repair or painting process. It felt more like an excuse than a genuine effort to address my concerns. They also used technical explanations that an average customer, who may not be familiar with auto body repairs, would have difficulty understanding. Just because a customer isn't knowledgeable about the repair process doesn't mean they can't recognize poor workmanship. What makes this even more frustrating is that I had already decided to bring another one of our vehicles to this shop for repairs because I initially trusted them to provide quality work. Unfortunately, my experience has made me question that decision. Considering the poor workmanship, I find the total cost of the repairs completely unjustifiable. The quality of the finished work simply does not reflect the amount being charged. What's even more frustrating is that my insurance company will ultimately be responsible for covering the repair costs. Whether the payment comes directly from the customer or an insurance company, the repair shop should be held to the same standards of quality and accountability. In my opinion, it is unacceptable for an insurance company to pay for repairs that are not completed to a satisfactory standard. My advice to anyone considering this repair shop is to do your research, read customer reviews, and look closely at the quality of their work before making a decision. Unfortunately, I didn't do that. I simply went with my gut feeling and trusted that they would do a decent job. As a customer, I don't expect perfection, but I do expect quality workmanship, accountability, and a willingness to address legitimate concerns. If a vehicle comes in with paint in good condition, I don't believe it should be returned with noticeable imperfections after a repair. Based on my personal experience, I am extremely disappointed with both the quality of the repairs and the way my concerns were handled. I would not recommend Velocity Collision Center to anyone looking for quality auto body repairs.
